I’m really liking how so many Gundam norms have been flipped around here. Not only do we have a socially awkward female protagonist, but the tsundere is an important guy, Earth is the one being suppressed (something barely seen since G Gundam off of the top of my head) and the cutesy looking character is the one to go “Momma said knock you out” before anyone else. I love it.
Though tbf there are a number of Gundam protagonists that are varying shades of introverted.
Also we kinda have _two_ Char clones (except the younger one ain't wearing a helmet) XD
UC and Seed had their sprinklings of "energy crisis"

Yeah, every Gundam series before this that I can think of had some echoes of Code Geass, but this feels like a completely new direction. Though, when has the tsundere *not* been important?

This hits real life hard. I can relate with the characters. Imagine being in a university, apart from being out of your comfort zone there are prejudices based on your social ineptness, class section, social class, what city, province or town you live in, what course you take.
There are always external and internal divides.

Every single episode is about the corruption in their society. This is truly a good way to show us how corrupted their current world is.

Looks like the school staff just don't give a shit. Chuchu didn't get into real trouble for cold-cocking Bully #1 either, they just rescheduled her test. I'm guessing the houses are expected to enforce discipline internally, and we've already seen Earth House's leader is a wet noodle, so...
I doubt there's bribing was involved, this is school run by corpo not the government, where the student pocket money also goes to the teacher salary and anyone attempt to interfere with student affair is a instead job lost, and because of this, security is pretty loose as shown in episode 1 and 2.
I think the staff don't care because Chuchu is an Earthian lowlife slave from their perspective. Same with Suletta, they think she's a country bumpkin from a crappy mining planet. But if Chuchu was to do the same to any random space colony kid, they might even kick her out of school. If Suletta did it, they might use the chance to arrest her and destroy or seize the Gundam. Also, it's a teacher's basic job and duty to tell the students what they need for an exam, but they never bothered and just failed her on the spot.
Short version: These Spacians (the bad ones) are racists. It's a 360 from UC and Seed, where the Earth gov't are the ones filled with such people.
The fist fight being satisfying and Guel being the tsundere of the year is just 🙌

@Mr. Zaku I always felt conflicted about that. On the one hand, Kamille had been needing to get smacked around for awhile. On the other, Wong had just been shown at that point as a price and had barely interacted with Kamille up to that point, so him being the one to do the smacking felt... I'm not sure for the right way to phrase it, disconnected?

Hope so. Wish Arial take the "ultimate sacrifice" trope saving two main girls and giving them a happy ending. Fingers crossed.
1) Some first times:
a) First time Guel didn't get slapped
b) First time Suletta actually attended a class
c) First time Aerial doesn't appear (outside of Suletta vs Guel Round 2 from the previous episode and the aftermath of it)
c) First time Suletta didn't get surprised at the end of the episode
2) Hair down Suletta is so gorgeous, with her fluffy hair almost resembles that of 00S1 Sumeragi
3) Suletta and Miorine being a tag team in the exam gives a Suzaku/Kallen and Lelouch vibes, or Haruto and L-Elf vibes (Not a surprise, since their respective shows share the same writer after all)
4) Honoka Kousaka: Suletta, if the school you founded is in danger of closing down, forming a school idol group is a way to prevent it from happening 😁

Suletta finally attending a class, and this is great episode despite having little mech action. As someone who got bullied back in middle school years, Suletta crying hit me hard. On the other hand, the fist fight is cool and it's good to see Chuchu tone down her hostility.
