I was extremely blessed to get a beautiful log home on an acre with workshop and a well as my first house at 22 years old. I completely renovated it and started a big garden and orchard. It’s really a great place. I still live there and love the house, but unfortunately the community I live in is going to hell in a handbasket quick. Off to the mountains me and my family go. But I still thank the lord for the blessing of that foreclosure home I got for cheap, and will be able to sell it for a pretty penny and buy a nice place in the mountains.

I'll be honest, I like the end-grain, even with the tongue-and-groove showing, but the cedar trim piece doesn't look bad at all. And the flex-fit with Mr. Jeriah made for a sweet finished look on the ends with a single-piece.

Not to beat a dead horse, but a few weeks ago there was an emotional response about the left handed saw and what right handed person has time to learn how to saw with their left hand, or who has time to set the depth of the saw blade. I don't know how long that oscillating saw took to cut through that 2 feet of flooring where you started your cut, but a left handed saw would have gotten you a lot closer to the wall. Like I said, right tool for the job. And with a track saw that would have taken very little skill. I'm not going to go through all the ways a left handed saw might be useful but unless you start incorporating into your knowledge base you're working hard not smart.
