Love my two wheel bag. We do a van with Trailer&Hilton tour. Being a drummer and getting sweaty I pack way more than I need. But,less laundry I have ta do the better. Thanks Rikki!😊...oh yeah you are a rock star and a heck of a nice guy! Met you once at the Rat Fink reunion up in the high desert. Don't remember exactly where it was. You were with you son. You were very cool to talk to me for a minute.👍
My girlfriend and I watch this last night and loved it. She follows a lot travel blogs/vlogs and picked up two new tips. I like the paper holder clip trick. That would have come in great after my 27 years in the Marines. Never to old to learn something new.
I met Rikki about 10 years ago at a local event here in Florida and it was me of those “I know you, you know me but we’re not sure how” type of situations. We eventually figured out the connection and he couldn’t have been a nicer gentleman through and through. I will always consider him a “friend” for life after that day. He’s the real deal!
Holy crap I am crushed! You're a rock star I thought you had five gorgeous women following you around doing everything for you! 😁 This was outstanding sir. It was so nice seeing someone of your stature so down to earth. You never once during this video spoke down to anyone, you were almost apologetic because of the bags you have are a little expensive. So great to see people you've literally grown up with just being great people. Thank you sir for all the wonderful memories over the years and the memory still to come.
Rikki I love these vlogs! I’ve always been very curious as to what a rocker does in between gigs while out on the road. This is an excellent look at that! Keep ‘em coming. And my wife and I met you and spent a lil time on your bus in the garage at what was known at the time as Gund Arena in Cleveland. You were the most humble and gracious rocker ever! Thanks for that experience.
I’m a entertainer coach driver, and always out on tour, these are great tips, I try to keep one carry on bag packed with essentials in case I need to jump on a flight. Packing light is key and always good idea to have a junk bunk bag .
Dude you seem so humble and mellow. I grew up and served our great Nation listening to you boys. Glad to see you guys around playing all of your jams. Love the vlog it shows your human and cool as Antarctica! Jam on brother.
Rikki i love your video’s. I also grew up with you and your band. Recently saw you guys live in Philly. Amazing show brother! Thanks for everything and I appreciate your humility. Fruit of the spirit. You always had the best kits, such an inspiration!
I saw you and the guys when you played in Abilene, Texas with Slaughter in, around, 1990. That was a great and memorable show! Thank you for all the great tunes Bro. You guys were with me all through High School and after. God Bless You!
Your humbleness makes you a bad ass rock star !!!! Cool video. You gave me alot of inspiration and helpful ideas when I make my next trip. Thank you !!
Rikki, I've been watching your Vlogs, and I wasn't much of a follower of any one person from Poison, but after these videos... Dude, you're awesome. Love the content, you are a skilled content creator, with engaging topics, and great video content. Just stumbled on to packing cubes for an upcoming business trip to Sin City!!! I think I will purchase a few. Looking forward to the next installment! 🤘🤘
I was 10 years old in 88 when open up and say ahh was new and on the radio. Was also my first poison cassette. Such a huge part of my life. Not only are you a rockstar, sir you are a legend. Thanks for the music and memories.
Wow great tricks for the travel not only in music industry but also as a construction workier we get to travel a lot, thanks for all the little tricks. and YES !!!! you are a Rockstar. Fan since 1988 !!!! Rock ON!
Dude , I appreciate your humbleness, but man you are a freaking rock star !! All the way my brother. I won the 1989 talent show at my high school in Tennessee with my rock band playing Poison’s version of your mamma don’t dance. I’m 52 now , and my current band plays talk dirty, nothing but a good time , and look what the car dragged in… cc was a huge influence on my playing. All four of you guys are mega rock stars !!!!!
Great tips, Rikki! My fave moment was when you put that clip on the razor to protect your hands from getting cut when reaching into your toiletry bag. Pure genius. I’m definitely using that trick on my next trip 🤘🏽
Great concert in phx last night! You guys stole the show! Rocking just like the last time I saw you... in 1988 lol! I saw someone wearing an old Poison T-shirt i used to have with a whiskey bottle saying Nothin but a good time! The memories! Cant wait til the next show!
That's an awesome bag. I've never heard of packing cubes. Thanks for sharing. Saw you in D.C . The band sounded great. Been a fan since the 80s, but it was my first time seeing you live. Keep up the great videos. Much love and respect from Baltimore as always.
I’m 51 & I have just been enlightened to the miracle of packing cubes!!! I have to get intensive spinal surgery in the fall in Bethlehem which is almost 2 hours away from here. This is helpful my Pennsylvania brother. Love you and TC tell her I said hello, be safe have fun my friend xo 💚
Rikki, I loved this video. Packing cubes, holy crap that is life changing. Didn't know they existed. When I have traveled the last several years I have brought WAY too much stuff with me. They are trips to watch downhill mountain biking up at Mont-Sainte-Anne in Quebec Canada, Showshoe West Virginia, and Ireland to actually race the Red Bull Fox Hunt. I bring clothes, biking gear(helmets, clothing, and protective), and tons of camera gear. Most of the time I don't use more than half the stuff. I use a wheeled hockey bag for that stuff. Then a bike bag for the bikes, and carry on for computer and camera stuff. I think this video will help out a lot. Thank you!
100% remove the rockstar/Poison part of this, and this is AN AWESOME travel vlog on its own right, with practical advice from a guy who HAS travelled a lot, not just sponsored content. I agree with you so much on this (the parts that I have experience with). Yeah, the "travel cubes", absolutely!!! Dirty washing compartments... what I do, is also bring along large garbage bags or short trips, zip-lock bags to put the dirty clothes in, then put them in a travel cube. (yes, I resuse the bags over and over again) SO many good tips dude!! Practical, solid, experienced advice. Not what I expected/anticipated from you on this VOLG, but way better than expectations! AND, it makes you/rockstars so much more relatable to us mere fans. Peopelare people. We have the same issues and experiences. 👍👍 from me mate!
It's so cool to see a rock star who is still just an ordinary dude, not all eccentric and overbearing. Rock on brother,I've been a poison fan since the 80's
Bro! Definitely sold me on this travel bag! Thanks! I've been overdue on a replacement and because you made this video, that's the jam for me. Rock on!
Rikki these videos you have been doing are cool the fact you take some time out of your day to let fans see what your day is like and just my personal thought on the tour you guys have been my opinion considering the history it looks like you guys are playing at your best you all look good and your live thank you
Rikki, in a rig like that you could move your home into it. Snoop around and look at all the space you have to use. I just moved into a 33ft Fleetwood Bounder, fulltime. I couldn't believe how much space was in this RV. Start snooping kiddo.
I saw the stadium tour in Charlotte. You and everyone else were amazing. You're one of my favorite drummers of all time.you are one of the people who inspired me to start drumming.
Saw you guys just roll and rock in Arizona. You were worth the 3 year wait. Thank you for all the hard work you put into the performances; top notch musicianship. It was amazing, I can't speak for one other performer in one of the other bands that is up on stage and is just collecting a pay check (disgrace really) but you guys are the real deal and it shows in your energy and performance. Thanks again!
Who needs six pair of pants? I travel between SE Asia and North America at least once a year. Travel lightly. I can be away from home for over a month with one medium sized backpack (40 l.) and one slightly larger (50 l.) that I will check. At the end of the flight I know I will be carrying it, so I try to lighten my load. 99% of the places you go, you will have the opportunity to do laundry. Here's how to do it. In your checked bag, the bigger backpack; Three pairs of socks, five pairs under pants, two pairs of pants, five shirts (two "nice"/ three casual), a jacket depending on the season. In your carry on all you need is a change of underwear, a hoodie ,stocking cap and shaving kit. Easy! ---- Ricky, congratulations on the tour. From what I have read, Poison has been the best part of the show. Before the tour kicked off, I knew that was going to be the case. How didn't Tesla get booked? Be safe and have a good time.
Thanks so much for this. just got divorced and been living hotel to hotel sometimes in my car. lol This was so help full. been slowly figuring it out on my own but this was awesome. Thanks man!
Thank you very much...its awesome to see someone else besides me using the good ol color system lol I had to use the system put lil red tape marks on my microphone cables to let my band members know what cables were mine so my drums are red so I use red tape to Mark my cables...I also use the 2 wheel luggage as well, it just works for me....thank you for giving us a sneak peek Rikki....
Hysterical callout to Chase Reeves! I swear by Briggs as well. You put on an awesome show in Toronto this month, nice to see both sides of you. Great vid Rikki Keep rockin 🥁
Rikki, Good tutorial on your luggage. When I go places. I have to bring a lot on my Vacation. Of course I haven't gone anywhere due to covid started and spoiled plans. I hoping some day. I will be able go somewhere exciting. Maybe a Poison concert. I've been watching Poison concert on TH-cam. It's like being in front row. Keep on rockin!🤘Rikki
Thanks for sharing Rikki! I always gawk at the tour buses and wonder what it's like to travel on one. It would we awesome to see a reality TV show that followed bands on tour - it could include rotating bands in muliple genres to appeal to a wider audience. Cheers!
Awesome I love it Rikki giving inside tips on how to travel smartly this is great not only the BEST DRUMMER LIKE EVER but very humble that makes you the best in my book love it love it love it thanks for the video man keep on doing what you 😁
Rikki-you're a rockstar. embrace it. you put in the hard work and all the miles and put up with Bret(the diva) for decades. 😂 these videos are fun. keep up the great work!
I remember the days of being on the road and we could barely spare the room in the van to pack one duffel bag each so we had to make a lot of sacrifices. Usually only had 2 to 3 pairs of pants maximum and three or four shirts. We were always trying to get laundry service put on our rider. Of course most of the time we were barely able to even get free drinks on there lol. Memories of the day where five guys were packed in an old Chevy van like sardines because we had all of our gear in the back. I distinctly remember one night when my bass player was sitting in the back of the van and my drummer slammed on the brakes in a guitar case clobbered him in the head lol
I have a Briggs and Riley two wheel roller for work travel. Good bag however, the zipper goes all the way to the edge and does not have a cover. After a year of travel the edges became so worn the bottom half does not unzip. They need to add a protective cover to the zipper
Packing cubes for the win! I love packing cubes. They allow extra room for my coffee snobbery gear when I travel. ☕ I'd love to see a breakdown of your travel camera bag. Travel (and rock) safe! 🤘
Just saw y’all on tour in San Antonio! What an amazing show! So glad you are doing well (health wise). Thanks for the tips. I do fly back to my family in FL and my cousin and I hope to go on a cruise next year. I do like the packing cubes bc it does help to stay organized. Safe travels and YES You are a Rock Star 💕🤘🏽🤘🏽
I just stumbled upon this because I am contemplating going to your show in Vancouver (I don't live in Van so would have to travel to get there so just weighing that up) so was watching youtube videos on your tour and found this after going down the youtube rabbit hole. I watch MANY youtube travel vlogs and how to pack but can't say I have watched a ligit rockstar post a video on packing tips on how he packed for one of the biggest concert tours of 2022 like it is no big deal, this is so fantastic! haha wouldn't be an 80's hair band without all the hair products and big blow dryer 🤪Love the tip on turning dirty clothes inside out and the clip over the razor so even learned something and of course subscribed. Good luck with the rest of your tour! 😺🤘
Dude, I have been LOLing watching this. This is the least Rock n Roll video ever and it is fucking great. I am taking notes on the packing tips. Thank you Mr Rocket for this video and the rest of these. Safe travels.
I missed you guys in Minneapolis because, coincidentally, I was traveling for work (fml). In any case I just wanted to say that it looks and sounds like you guys are really bringing it on this tour and I was sorry to miss the show. Love this channel, especially the bikes. Thanks for sharing!
I appreciate your humility but you're definitely a Rock Star! Great packing and travel tips, thanks!

For some reason I really enjoy these more mundane videos
My girlfriend and I watch this last night and loved it. She follows a lot travel blogs/vlogs and picked up two new tips. I like the paper holder clip trick. That would have come in great after my 27 years in the Marines. Never to old to learn something new.

Rikki is a very smart guy and plays his drums like a rock star. Always does a great job is is a very entertaining drummer
I have a Briggs and Riley two wheel roller for work travel. Good bag however, the zipper goes all the way to the edge and does not have a cover. After a year of travel the edges became so worn the bottom half does not unzip. They need to add a protective cover to the zipper
I have never heard of packing cubes! 😮 I didn’t know I needed those, but I sure do.
Very great videos! Have been enjoyable as well as informative!!
Thx love your channel Rikki! Hope the tour is going well 🤘 oh & those bags are awesome 💚

Really great topic. How is laundry done on the road? Both for street and stage clothes.
Great show in San Antonio... Great job Rikki..
You are a Rockstar. But the best kind because you don't know you are. Your heart and your talent makes you one.
Dude, I have been LOLing watching this. This is the least Rock n Roll video ever and it is fucking great. I am taking notes on the packing tips. Thank you Mr Rocket for this video and the rest of these. Safe travels.
