I don't know what it is...but the way he says 'Let's try another one' at 1:30 just makes me feel really excited and confident! And that's saying something...I've been teaching math for 5 years!

Thank you so much! I've been working now and inbetween that and school, I rarely have time to go to a tutorial and talk with my pre-calc teacher. This has made it so much better to understand, thank you!

Thank you! I'm taking an online course and the teacher does nothing. The textbook doesn't explain anything either! I was getting so frustrated, this cleared everything up!!

THANK YOU I did NOT get this when my teacher explained it and my book only had the "cute" examples where there never was any phase shift, or the period was a nice even number like pi all the time, and then threw me questions that involved combinations of these things without teaching us how to deal with it. You are awesome.

WoW, all I have learned is that you realy need someone to know how to teach. No teacher should be called "Teacher" if he doesn't know how to make a pupil understand.
Your online lessons are like a ray of light...I can understand math much better than before lol.

Well, NOW I know what finding the phase shift really is about; finding where the stuff in the brackets equals zero! Wish my teacher would have just told us that instead of the steps to take with all the conditions...

Great video, the only thing missing is (D) in the equation A Sin (B ( t-C ) ) + D. All D does is move the line up or down and it should be done last.

@Gutsyndicate 3pie/2 is equal to 6pi/4, he's trying to figure out what is halfway in between. Which would be 3pi/4. Then again, it would be simpler I think to just mark each increment as +1 pi/4, so pi/4 then 2pi/4, then 3pi/4, then 4pi/4, then 5pi/4. That method gives you the same values, and you can just simplify the fractions afterward, and personally I find it easier, but what he did works too.
