Test on monday been studying all week from my notes in class. I understood this way 10 times better then the way my teacher explained it and it's a lot faster thank you soooo much... my teacher needs to watch your videos and learn how to teach
Dude, I wish you were my math teacher. In school i have to ask questions but you explain things so thoroughly that I don't have any questions. Thank you, man your videos are really helpful.
I don't know what it is...but the way he says 'Let's try another one' at 1:30 just makes me feel really excited and confident! And that's saying something...I've been teaching math for 5 years!
whyyyyyyyyyyyy myyyyy math teacher cant just simply be like you T.T *tears* you are the best math teacher i've ever seen in my life ^^ know sir that if i got full mark "no doubt" at tomorrow's final second semester math exam u will be the reason :) God Bless you Sir God Bless you...
Thank you so much! I've been working now and inbetween that and school, I rarely have time to go to a tutorial and talk with my pre-calc teacher. This has made it so much better to understand, thank you!
Excellent explanation on how to solve this type of graphs....I undestood everything and so I can explain to my son who is struggling with this topic....awesome teacher...thanks so much...
Thank you! I'm taking an online course and the teacher does nothing. The textbook doesn't explain anything either! I was getting so frustrated, this cleared everything up!!
THANK YOU I did NOT get this when my teacher explained it and my book only had the "cute" examples where there never was any phase shift, or the period was a nice even number like pi all the time, and then threw me questions that involved combinations of these things without teaching us how to deal with it. You are awesome.
I'm really weak when it comes to math, but after seeing your video, I could really learn a lot from you that suffices more than an 1 hour of lecture. Keep up the good work, professor!
WoW, all I have learned is that you realy need someone to know how to teach. No teacher should be called "Teacher" if he doesn't know how to make a pupil understand. Your online lessons are like a ray of light...I can understand math much better than before lol.
THANK-YOU SO MUCH for putting in the time and effort to make this video. It is absolutely clear and comprehensible. I wish you were my math teacher. :P thanks again! your help is greatly appreciated.
Well, NOW I know what finding the phase shift really is about; finding where the stuff in the brackets equals zero! Wish my teacher would have just told us that instead of the steps to take with all the conditions...
:O Very Clear and straight to the point. Understood it right away! (if youtube still had the stars rating, i would give this overall 5/5 but 4/5 for not showing tangent)
I learn faster and easier using TH-cam than attending long, boring lectures. My prof is a great human being but makes simple concepts like these way too difficult.
i still dont quite understand how you get the period, but this still helped alot, now i just have to ask a question instead of asking her to teach it to me all over again!
@Gutsyndicate 3pie/2 is equal to 6pi/4, he's trying to figure out what is halfway in between. Which would be 3pi/4. Then again, it would be simpler I think to just mark each increment as +1 pi/4, so pi/4 then 2pi/4, then 3pi/4, then 4pi/4, then 5pi/4. That method gives you the same values, and you can just simplify the fractions afterward, and personally I find it easier, but what he did works too.
this man is an american hero
Professor takes 2 class days to explain this. Meanwhile, youtube takes 7 minutes.

Best trig prof i have ever had. When i grow up, i wanna be like you, sir.
By far the best awesome teacher there is. He reminds me of my old math teacher Mr. Ivy.
I don't know what it is...but the way he says 'Let's try another one' at 1:30 just makes me feel really excited and confident! And that's saying something...I've been teaching math for 5 years!
Can't believe all teachers can't put it that simply. Thank you man.
My teacher explained nothing to me and you saved me. Love your style !

Better teacher than my teacher. Thanks, appreciate it.

best math teacher ever. truly grateful
OMG you have to be the best ever. Way better than my calc teacher. You are my savior !!
Major MAHALO! My Trig teacher here in Hawaii makes it so much harder where as you sir I learned way easier thank you!
This guy makes it so much easier than I thought!
You make math so clear and simple. First time I understand how the phase shift works! I wish my math teacher was like u :)
I'm really weak when it comes to math, but after seeing your video, I could really learn a lot from you that suffices more than an 1 hour of lecture. Keep up the good work, professor!
I m a physics student ,it s great to come back to refresh some concepts.congrats from france ,great teacher!!

This teacher is excellent !
You are the reason I have 30 credit coming into college. Thank you!
still helpful even in 2019!! bless
Still corana also😁😊😛😋
finally a video that actually teaches you the right thing :) , Thank you
THANK-YOU SO MUCH for putting in the time and effort to make this video. It is absolutely clear and comprehensible. I wish you were my math teacher. :P thanks again! your help is greatly appreciated.
this is the kind of teachers we need in college.
Well, NOW I know what finding the phase shift really is about; finding where the stuff in the brackets equals zero! Wish my teacher would have just told us that instead of the steps to take with all the conditions...
Never thought of the phase shift in that way before (the zero thing). This guy's brilliant.
OMG....THANKS ALOT!! Your explanation make this sooo much easier to understand...Great Math Teacher!
I learned more from this almost-7-minute-video than I did from 2 class periods, which is 3 hours, in school.
You made it so simple, some thing I have spend hours to understand .... Thank you very much
Sir. You are a good teacher... I wish i did learn Trigonometry like this back on my days......Thank you very, very, much
Very good teacher. And darn good whiteboard handwriting as well!
OMG I LOVE YOU WHITEBALD MAN, YOU JUST SAVED ME FROM FAILING MY MATH TEST ON THURSDAY !
awesome teacher. Now i understand this and will be ready for my test on tuesday...
I prefer your method over my math teacher's.It is really helpful, thank you.
God bless you
U just saved my life my teacher didnt teach it like this thank you!!!!
:O Very Clear and straight to the point. Understood it right away! (if youtube still had the stars rating, i would give this overall 5/5 but 4/5 for not showing tangent)
He has the best white board handwriting I've Ever seen
much better than my teacher explains it. THANK YOU
This bright man is amazing
Dude , you sir is a great help to anyone man. Thanks!
this man saved my algebra grade.
so much simpler than all the other videos i've watched... last year
I've never seen someone who draws the curves so neat, lol, but great vid !
you just saved my math grade thank you
I officially love this guy
I've been trying to figure this out, thanks! I've got a test this morning
This guy is most likely dead. But his mathematical wisdom continues to live on. How beautiful.
This professor is the Don
My math teacher is great, but sometimes it's nice to slow things down and get a solid grasp on the technique.
Best video I've found. Thank you so very much!!
Your hand writing makes math fun
That's amazing! When did Steve Martin start teaching math on the Internet at TH-cam!? Phaseshiftalicious!!!!!
Pre-Calc midterm tomorrow at 6am. This video just wrote my exam review sheet.
i love the way you do those graphs my sine wave and cosine wave still look like crap all my professors are able to make a nice curvy line.
excellent, greetings from colombia
this man is a saviour
Thanks. I was going to try using these electrical and sonic waves for bread machines, guns, and for my spaceship.
best teacher ever!!
I wish my math teacher was performant like you you... math became a taboo for me because of him
Great video, the only thing missing is (D) in the equation A Sin (B ( t-C ) ) + D. All D does is move the line up or down and it should be done last.
I learn faster and easier using TH-cam than attending long, boring lectures. My prof is a great human being but makes simple concepts like these way too difficult.
THESE ARE AWESOME VIDEOS, PLEASE KEEP MAKING THEM!!!!
Excellent explanation. Thank you!
THANK you, your really did help, I wish my math teacher was you.
the formula for period is Period=2pi/b
Have a test in the morning on this thank you!!!!
Thank you. I didn't know how to find the phase shift when there is a number by the x.
simple and good explanation
i still dont quite understand how you get the period, but this still helped alot, now i just have to ask a question instead of asking her to teach it to me all over again!
Thank you so much...i am totally lost in this chapter... you just saved my life sir :DDD Thanks you very much
God bless u man. U are best university professor
Thank u so much, makes a lot more sense when u explain it.

Thank YOUUUU thank YOUUUU omg I'm not failing my math test
extremely helpful!!!
thanks, you safe my midterm
My exam is on Wednesday and this helps for my revision.
Thank you :)
You are a great teacher; thank you so much for uploading the video. Great explanation. I also never comment on videos. :)
Listen to this guy! He is the best! :D
I wish you had done a Tan(x) graphing. that would have helped a lot. But this really did help a lot.
Wow, It was that simple. Thank you so much for helping!
Great job for students sir God bless you
this is amazing! you really helped me out! :)
now i feel a bit more confident for my quiz tomorrow! :D i need straighten out cot and tan though. :/
This man is amazing.
thank u. this video is good. he does that in a little bit different way as my teacher taught me. but both works.
very nice explanation. is it possible to explain vertical shifts of trig graphs.
Oh my god.
You're a freakin' genius.
Thank you good sir.
You rock! Great job exaplaining this!
best explanation EVER
U just saved my life THANK you
EXCELLENT very well done, great review
This was great! I finally got it. Thanks!
Thank you! The video is very helpful!
taking the ACT for the 1st time 2morro and i just learnd how to do this. never saw this in class
it took me 17 minutes to do one similar problem, but this boss only needs few minutes to do more problems. I thought I was good at math:-P
