    I followed all the steps exactly but now the hub nut won’t come off and there is no handbrake to hold the hub in place

    When installing the calipers would what would be considered the rear right calipers turn into the rear left and vice versa for other side? like when buying a pair of the calipers that are made for the rear right normally since they are going on the other side of the rotor it would turn into the rear left due to the bleeder?

    • @gktech

      That's correct mate.

      That’s no problem, best to use the website chat or email sales@gktech.com directly.

    Watched the other video and still unsure wether to use a 10mm spacer or a 15mm spacer for a 2007 nissan 350z

    • @gktech
      @gktech  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'd recommend 10mm

  • @SimplyDuhh

    Anyone know the size of the caliper spacer? I just got one side done and noticed I either lost one or only got 3.

    Would a grip build benefit from this?
    Is it possible to engage both calipers at once/not the handbrake but with the foot brake.

    • @EthnMuller
      @EthnMuller 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Brake balance is usually more towards the front because of the weight shift so not sure if that would help too much. Would also f with abs maybe

    When you installed the E-brake nuts do those need any sort of loc-tite since the nut is tightened like 2-3 threads?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We recommend loctite, or we offer extended studs for the drum mount.

    What Brembo calipers did you put on this I'm making a 2jz engine swapped z with twin turbo for drift and the track its going to be very unique.

    • @gktech
      @gktech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They are the OEM track edition 350Z brembo calipers

  • @MagnumX2000

    Does this require modification to the bracket or knuckle? Mine won’t sit flush on the knuckle on my g37

    • @gktech
      @gktech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Chris, some Z34/G37 will require slight shaving to the knuckle.

  • @compbullies7110
    @compbullies7110 ปีที่แล้ว

    So you only need to install this on one side?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  ปีที่แล้ว

      There was no point in repeating the steps when they are the same, it's to be installed on both sides.

  • @skizzzurp
    @skizzzurp 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Can we use your kit inline? I see you can opt out of the dual caliper. Can you do a tutorial on an inline setup if possible??

    • @gktech
      @gktech  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We don't have plans on installing an inline kit on a Z but we will be doing S chassis in the near future which will be practically the same method.

  • @meliodasD2
    @meliodasD2 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    if i buy the kit for my 370z do i need to buy the dual caliper setup? and if so does it have to be the same as the other brake pad on the wheel?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You will be required to source additional calipers, whilst the caliper must be the same you are free to use any pad of your choice.

    Can I run factory non Brembos on these if I still run my factory oem Brembos?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Calipers can not be mixed and matched due to rotor differences

    Hi there!
    Would this work with WILWOOD 1 or 2 pot calipers ?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It only works with the OEM 370Z parts. We don't make any brackets for wilwood options on the Z as the OEM components are well and truly good enough.

    can you use front calipers for the ebrake or would they have to be rears?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      They need to be rears

    • @SashaGransjean
      @SashaGransjean 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gktech they also have to be the same as what you have right? like brembo w brembo or could you use something else?

    • @gktech
      @gktech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SashaGransjean They need to be a matching pair, correct. This is due to different calipers requiring a different rotor.

    [edit] NVM. I just don't know anything about drifting. Sorry about the rant.
    Um. what the bloody hell did I just watch? LOL. I saw this at CZP and thought it was a disc-based e-brake which would be sweet, tossing the shitty drums. but no? What the hell is this? why do you need 2 calipers? and if that's justified, where the hell do you get a brake line splitter? And, seriously, it's the rears, so who cares?
