Well done Team Elite!!! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽. This redo is the the best videos I have seen yet, in terms the presentation, video shooting, editing, supporting content and most of all how you made the topic interesting. Bless!
Really good. Nice to see apart of my district Stokes Hall.lived there for many years, yet never visited the so called duppy house. 😆 Thank you for taking me there. WHAT A GRAND VIEW!!.👍
Yes Alex and the grew big your god and bless selves, listen me now I love your channel and all the contents I wonna hear the story about the yallahs pond, I know that there are many many others out there that are loving every thing about the elite Jamaica chanel, keep doing a honorable job for us, it's very educational
The government should make the effort to educate, evaluate , preserve and promote our rich history so that future generations will understand and respect our heritage and the country as a whole can benefit economically. I think I read an article by Lisa Hannah recently recommending that the government do that, sad that politics gets in the way so politicians are not interested in what the other side has to say about such things
Greatness to you my brother ALEXX respect honestly, dat is it, my bro fully fully active out there my brother .Thanks a lot for your support honestly respect 💯🌟🙏🌟🔯🌟💯
Impressive building. Great fine. I also wondered why jamaicans left these buildings to deteriorated. These buildings could have been a huge tourist draw. As evident in Latin American countries who've kept in tact a lot of their architectural buildings.
They should restore it .people would pay to see building like that , and for school children education. Shame . You are doing a good work finding these building.wish the goverment would do something about it.
Loving this one thanks for sharing very information blessed love to all knowledge is power hopefully everyone pays attention keep up the good work 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲
I read a publication which stated that the limestone used to make those buildings across Jamaica were shipped from England. We have seen these stone structures right across the Island in many areas where there is no such stone.
I think the 'missing' boards could have been part of wooden floors, staircases and landing structures - which naturally deteriorated and perished through the ageing process over the centuries.
Once again a great video Alexx, I am afraid of heights so my knees felt really weak as you ascended the lighthouse steps. I remember the Yallas Salt ponds well, you would always know when you were near as there was an odor. The views are beautiful and are truly making me homesick. Keep up the great work!
The history of the great house is very imformative .gov shld maintsin that area and use for tourist attraction.ja have so many things to bring in income but instead look how that nice land area is just left abondoned
Jamaica have rich history that is hidden ,thank you my brother for highlighting Jamaica's ,I believe the national heritage trust foundation should do something to help preserve these. 👍
THANK YOU MY BROTHER ..... I RESPECT YOUR FINDS AND ITS VERY INTRIGUING .... THOSE COULD BE USED TO EDUCATE OUR CHILDREN OF THE PAST AND ALSO GENERATE SOME MUCH NEEDED REVENUE FOR THE PARISH THEY'RE IN .... TOURIST BOARD WAKE UP ,
Thank you as always. Interesting. That pond is blue and beautiful. Yes, I would love to hear about the pond. Also I would love to hear some history of Tacky and which sugar plantation he worked from. If I am not mistaken he was after the Maroons. So who owned this plantation? You better go back down. Jamaica is so beautiful. I am praying the crime will stop, but I am glad you are taking us with you around the island to these historic sites. Were you a History major in college? Love to see the ruins though. By the way, it's good that you are skinny, no disrespect to fat people though. please don't come after me...but you know if you are fat it's hard to do all that climbing.
The great house foundation come right down to the land were the new sugar workers get their lots to building their homes, there was a led factory built by our ancestors we also found a lot of led to provide that they use to boiling of led we even found a piece of the led pot there too.
I think Some of our history needs to remain as it it’s or it shy be for the people of the country not to capitalize on or with ..that is just my thoughts
I want you as a blogger to tell the Jamaican people a little knowledge about the drama with the Henry incident in the early sixties many many Jamaican don’t know anything about it
@@EliteJamaica Yea man! What made it worst is that the story teller didn't even come from St. Thomas lol. it's a joy to hear our wonderful country people talk about these tales.....

There is so much history in Jamaica. The government should do something about them so they can get revenue from these buildings.
I read a publication which stated that the limestone used to make those buildings across Jamaica were shipped from England. We have seen these stone structures right across the Island in many areas where there is no such stone.

The fear of heights is one of the worst fears. The salt ponds aren't as bad as they used to be in regards to smell.

Bro when did you visit the great house
Two years ago
The great house foundation come right down to the land were the new sugar workers get their lots to building their homes, there was a led factory built by our ancestors we also found a lot of led to provide that they use to boiling of led we even found a piece of the led pot there too.
Thanks for that info
That has always been my question as to why these historical buildings are in ruins
I always wondered how come I never see any ruins in Jamaica but now I see you're showing them I guess they're mostly located near the waters
Maybe the st thomas ponds getting sulphur from volcano under the area
used to walk around the pond and pick up salt to boil pig feed has a child
Ok, that water really salt
I want to know the true story of the Yahlas pond. I would like to meet up wid dih I.
In the making
@@EliteJamaica I was given a vision regarding your works. We need to talk about it. Give Tanks.
Ok link me at 876 450 9733
@@EliteJamaica give Tanks
In Europe those buildings are kept in good condition
Theres two rivers in Nigeria with similar story to this pond in Jamaica.
Ok, gonna check it out, thanks for watching
Could the small holes be for lanterns or candles? There wasn't any electricity back then.
I think the properties were passed down to heirs in England
After researching, I really think that's what they did, as with most of these properties
Please make the video with the true explanation of the salt ponds. Thanks in advance
Ok will do, thanks for watching
The Pond has Sulfur (sulfuric acid)that's why it smells so pungent
Not at all the first but quite huge
I think
Some of our history needs to remain as it it’s or it shy be for the people of the country not to capitalize on or with ..that is just my thoughts
I want you as a blogger to tell the Jamaican people a little knowledge about the drama with the Henry incident in the early sixties many many Jamaican don’t know anything about it
The holes are for defense reason to shoot from inside on anyone at any point in yard
Thank you
