Is it true that Cummins purchased the engineering rights from Deutz for their B series engine? The 4BT and the popular 6BT in Dodge pickups.👍

I'd like to drop a Deutz in my Ford pickup, but I don't think they spin fast enough to work at highway speeds without regearing.
I'm from central Wyoming.
