Great video Cap and beautiful fish. Caught one about that size a couple weeks ago. Was literally getting up to pull my rods in when he hit.

How did the Ninja rod do for ya?

@@DueSouthFishing Not at all. Certainly no pomps.... and I was even using a really great pompano rig I won in a drawing.
What beach access are you at? I'll be there in a couple of weeks fishing. And I always have a hard time finding access with my cart. Edisto was really good for access.
The vehicle access at the end of Drum Ave. There is a chain across it but they left enough room on the side for beach carts.

Wanting to try surf fishing on vacation this year. What size weight were you using for those conditions?
Pretty sure I was using 3 oz
