Wow! Really cool new controller. At that price how could you go wrong, am interested to see what else they have up their sleeves. I dig the humor in your videos too, btw. Oh, and...peanut butter jelly time!
Question. Does it need to be connected to a PC/ipad? What happens if you just connect it to the power right out of the box. What is build-into the device right out of the box? Or is it impossible to do anything with it unless it's connected to a PC/ipad with some SW running.
My teen kids want to try making misic with this TempoPad. Which Daw I should get for beginners by using iPad Pro? It would be so appreciative if anyone have any recommendation! Thanks!
Great vid as usual. I'm hoping that the USB hub that I use for my iPad will provide enough power for this. so I would only need one cable. And... since I've gone vegan, it's peanut butter jelly time ALOT.
Didn't think this would be for me as I don't live loop. However, the possibilities for Stage Trax3 integration are perfect for my uses. Peanut butter jelly time.
Looks good but would really like to see the capability to send multiple midi commands in a future firmware update. Also suggest adding a scoop of ice cream whenever it's peanut butter jelly time. Great review - thanks.
hmm, got it yesterday and my mac doesn't seem to recognize it at all, nor power it from usb-c. connected to a powered hub with usb-a it does get power, but the mac doesn't recognize it. no posts on there website about this
This could be used to program a light show in Multitracker and I reckon also in ST3. Cool device! You could do it one handed while enjoying peanut butter jelly time for lunch.
Never mind, think I just had brain surge with the type B connector .. it's the usb-A that is used for keyboard controllers 🙃 so you should be able to use it as a pad controller for most modern keyboards
Hi Scott. When i connect this device with USB to my PC and my Helix Froor with USB to the same Pc. Can i use this device to send commands to my Helix? (MIDI over USB) Can i use this device to programm Backingtracks to the Pads and let them play in a Software? For example VLC-Player.
A lot like the Akai MPD-218, but much more friendly programming it. Are the pads soft or hard plastic? How does it feel for finger drumming? I see it doesn't send sysex. Why does almost nothing send sysex? (Peanut butter jelly time.)
I *just* bought a Launchkey Mini, so I'm still getting my feet wet with that. But $70 for another controller is really tempting. It's almost like BOOM goes the dynam...wait that's not right. It's peanut butter jelly time.
I like the form factor. It looks more flexible than a Novation Launchpad Mini. I'm currently using a little Korg Nanopad2 to launch our band's clips (can't beat the size). It's very basic but the big downside is that you need to hook it up to the computer to set it up. This one looks nicer, has knob controllers, and more features, and pretty lights for not much more bucks. Peanut Butter Jelly Time which goes well with Pineapple Pizza and a beer.
Love more and more devices are using usb-C. It makes setting up so much easier and i dont have to carry a billion different kinds of cables to connet and power/charge all my devices. Peanut butter jelly time!
Isaac, congrats, you actually are the winner for this giveaway! You can check the post that I made in the community tab on my channel as well as my story on Instagram/TH-cam/Facebook. Thanks, and congrats again!
It’s a midi controller, is it connected to your computer? Midi itself does not make sound like a keyboard…. It needs to be connected to something that listens to midi
I'm having issues setting up the fixed velocity.. from what I could see, I needed to change Full level to 127, but when I did that, none of the velocity modes made sound Edit: Nevermind, it magically started working out of nowhere
I'm just seeing this...a much needed device... Akai's has pad issues and all the other ones work best with their own software...and Donners pads look too small
Peanut butter jelly time! Time to learn how to use midi!
🤘🤘
Really great! Thanks Scott for sharing the video!😉
Glad you liked it!
Hey man, just got one from them for review as well but I have never used a midi controller before. Thanks for the enlightenment
Nice! Enjoy it 🤘
oooo awesomely detailed review of this product Scott! It's as smooth as Peanut Butter Jelly Time...
Thanks!
Let's start the Peanut butter jelly time with this midi controller! Great video as always!
🤘🤘
Scott, I've been working nights recently and getting caught up on all of your content...it's peanut butter jelly time now!
Nice! Thanks for watching the channel 🤘🤘
Wow! Really cool new controller. At that price how could you go wrong, am interested to see what else they have up their sleeves. I dig the humor in your videos too, btw. Oh, and...peanut butter jelly time!
Thanks! And yeah, great price point for this device 🤘
This is a great and comprehensive review. I would love to hear your thoughts on how this rates against the Avatar EMP16.
Thanks for the review! Peanut butter jelly time
Thanks for watching!
I got to have it…..it’s peanut butter jelly time!
Contest ended haha but it’s worth picking up!
Peanut butter jelly time🎉
That's a cool midi controller, great review as always!
🥜🧈🪼⏰
Thank you!
How is the pad feel compared to other midi controllers like MPD218, Xjam, PreSonus Atom, Maschine Mikro, etc? I'm very tempted to snag one of these...
It feels comfortable like the other ones. I haven’t noticed a huge difference between this one and others 🤘
You need some merch, a t-shirt with the pan knob all the way to the left! #backingtracklife Would def wear when it's peanut butter jelly time.
Hahahahaha seriously haha
It's ALWAYS peanut butter jelly time!
Always!
another great video, now its Peanut Butter Jelly Time
Thank you!

It needs to connect to some sort of midi device. MIDI controllers do not send “sound” by themselves
Midi rules! 🎉
🤘🤘
Is there a midi controller with a cross fader to blend between scenes/presets/performances (like Octatrack)?
I haven’t heard of that… unless I’m understanding the question wrong
My teen kids want to try making misic with this TempoPad. Which Daw I should get for beginners by using iPad Pro? It would be so appreciative if anyone have any recommendation! Thanks!
Ableton or Logic are my favorites
Great vid as usual. I'm hoping that the USB hub that I use for my iPad will provide enough power for this. so I would only need one cable. And... since I've gone vegan, it's peanut butter jelly time ALOT.
That would be interesting to find out if it works! That would be great for sure
i cant believe you're making me type peanut butter jelly time.
I can’t believe you typed peanut butter jelly time! 😅😅
Looks good for integration with Koala sampler as well.
Hi, how's it going? I play guitar as a hobby, and I want to add drums to my riffs in FL Studio. Would you recommend this MIDI for that purpose?
Yup 🤘
Didn't think this would be for me as I don't live loop. However, the possibilities for Stage Trax3 integration are perfect for my uses. Peanut butter jelly time.
Nice! I made sure to include that in there because I that’s what I like about midi controllers personally 🤘
Have you been able to use a usb-c to usb-c cable? I can't get one to work. Any usb-c to usb-a works fine
I haven’t used a usb c to usb c cable for it
Looks good but would really like to see the capability to send multiple midi commands in a future firmware update. Also suggest adding a scoop of ice cream whenever it's peanut butter jelly time. Great review - thanks.
I agree for sure. Hopefully that comes with a firmware update!
hmm, got it yesterday and my mac doesn't seem to recognize it at all, nor power it from usb-c. connected to a powered hub with usb-a it does get power, but the mac doesn't recognize it. no posts on there website about this
Really? That’s interesting, mine worked right away. I would message them and see if you can get another one since it might be defective
This could be used to program a light show in Multitracker and I reckon also in ST3. Cool device! You could do it one handed while enjoying peanut butter jelly time for lunch.
😂 good use of the magic phrase lol. And yes that’s one thing I thought of to use it!
ok a great way to start with a good price. Peanut butter jelly time.
I agree 🤘
With just an usb-c can it be used as a device independent usb -B keyboard ?
I’m not sure I understand. How are you connecting it?
Never mind, think I just had brain surge with the type B connector .. it's the usb-A that is used for keyboard controllers 🙃 so you should be able to use it as a pad controller for most modern keyboards
Ok cool 🤘
Hi Scott.

Can i use this device to programm Backingtracks to the Pads and let them play in a Software? For example VLC-Player.
As long as your routing is correctly configured, yes both should work 👍

It feels nice! Definitely not hard plastic. I would use it for finger drumming. And yeah most things don’t sent sysex messages I’ve found
Peanut Butter Jelly Time 🎉
I haven’t even watched the video yet, peanut butter jelly time.
😂 still counts though!
@@ScottUhlMusic - Good product demo!
any idea how this unit might be mounted to a mic stand?
They make little tables that clip onto mic stands. OnStageStands make some 👍

Hahahaha well now I have a good magic phrase for the next one 😊

to clarify...at least this one has some adjustments that can be made w/o a computer
Peanut butter jelly AND pineapple pizza. Well played 😅
Love more and more devices are using usb-C. It makes setting up so much easier and i dont have to carry a billion different kinds of cables to connet and power/charge all my devices. Peanut butter jelly time!
100%! I wish everything would just go to usb C, and I’m glad this one does too

@@ScottUhlMusic Awesome! I will reach out 👍🏼
@@ScottUhlMusic Sent you a message through your website.
I can’t get mine to play actual notes it’s just clicks idk what I’m doing wrong

Damn. It's out of stocks
It should come back into stock
@@ScottUhlMusic thanks for replying
❤❤❤
Does this work with audacity
If it accepts midi, this should work with anything that accepts midi commands
Nice, picked one up to try out with Stage Traxx. The discount code was much appreciated, but now it's peanut butter jelly time.
Nice! Yeah it will work well to control other things for sure
I'm having issues setting up the fixed velocity.. from what I could see, I needed to change Full level to 127, but when I did that, none of the velocity modes made sound

Peanut butter jelly time means mean nuts put on belly time
😂😂
Peanut butter jelly time is what you say but it has too many carbs and sugar. You should just watch Scott’s videos!
😂🤘🤘
