Great tips, Dan. I'm now 70 and although I still play off a single figure handicap, I've noticed a reduction in club head speed and therefore distance so I'll be using your tips when the course is open again!
Great video Dan. Always watch you tips, videos, as being older(63), I suffer with arthritis in both hips and my back, and really struggle to turn and create power. Going to try and put these tips into practice before I have a new hip in a few months time.
Love those tips Dan I’m almost 62 lol I have arthritis in my hands, wrists and other parts plus a full metal knee (left)and I’m right handed so I’ve always struggled with power but I’ve always tried to keep a good tempo and get the club through the ball. So I do tinker at times and on the whole don’t do too bad,but I played today and just seemed that my arms, shoulders and chest seemed really tight so I did struggle over the back 9
As someone who's in their early 60's this type of info is gold. I just went and changed my Callaway Mavrik and was fitted for a Callaway Ai Smoke TD. I was told I had good tempo naturally but Dans tip about letting my Left hand ( I'm a lefty) catch up in the swing and help release the club head sounds like a great training tool. I will be trying that on the range. Love the video Dan. Quick question off topic, Does anyone know what happens to launch monitor data if it's set up for a right handed golfer but you swing left handed or vise versa ?? always been curious about that and can't find anything online about that.
Great points Dan, i just need to keep telling myself tempo, it is so important, my brain is preprogramed to swing hard and your right that produces short drives. Thank you for reminding me.
I saw a great tip on a Mike Reid golf program that used to be on TV - Strawberry mousse, as in strawberry on the back swing and mousse on the down swing. Although Mike Reid changed it to Strawberry Blonde!
At least my range practice is sorted for the weekend 😂. I'm someone who avoids the driver like the plague and absolute fear, I just can't seem to find any consistency. I'm hoping this will give me some pointers to finding something enjoyable about using the club 🙏
Look after your back and hips. As 40 passes by everything seemes to tighten up. Find simple drills to open up the front and strengthening exercises with bands to build up the glutes and soaz muscles. After watching both Donald Trump at 78 and Gary Player at 89, i am jealous of their ability to rotate through impact and beyond ending on the front foot. I find it extremely difficult to do on a lie when leaning back as a result of the ground sloping back, for example. Thanks Dan for the tips. Will work on all of the above. I havent tried puting my back leg back a bit to increase the in to out action and the trailing hand action needs work.
Whenever I look at your driver clubface at address, your clubface always looks slightly open. I'm not sure if it is or it's just how it looks on camera? The only way I can hit the ball straight or with a slight draw is to close my clubface slightly at address. How do you draw the ball with an open clubface? Is it all to do with the club path?
@@davidfletcher6836 I can swing it in to out but if my clubface is open there's only one direction my ball is going and that's slicey right. Luckily I can control my tee shots now but it was a general question for Dan from an observation I've made watching his videos.
Its a funny old game, im 42 and i hit the ball further now than ever, mostly from concentrating more on solid strike than swinging out my boots and losing my shape
Last year I started telling myself before every drive hit it only 200 hundred yards. I started hitting way more fairways and hitting longer than I did trying to catch my buddies drives.
Not sure telling us old gits to jump up from the couch was a good idea 😂 Seriously though, great tips. Most importantly they were very well explained and simply put. Looking forward to my next range session more than ever (once my knees have recovered from the couch jump). 😎
great instructive video more of these type of videos please they are first class
Nice to see you focus on us coffin dodges Dan. I'm 40 + 30 and any advice on getting more distance is more than welcome 👍
Top class video as always Dan. Will be trying these tips soon.
Great video Dan. More like this please
Great video Dan. How about one for irons?
57 year old hanging on to a 3 handicap, very useful as always Dan.
Hope you enjoyed Florida.

Top video Dan. I'm 64 and still playing off 4, but I'm conscious that I'm losing distance, so these give me a few things to work at😊
Great information Dan being an old boy and playing of 8.9 I certainly need this lesson to keep me hitting me tee shots long👍
Lots to work on, would like to see more for us clinging onto the mid 40s. Thanks Dan

I really enjoyed that Dan and thank you
Fantastic!
Thanks Dan will work on these even though somewhat over 40! 😂 🏌️♀️
Excellent video Dan, love your coaching videos 👍👍
Great vidio Dan, a really good explanation of how us oldies can get more distance.
They are great tips for me Dan. Looking forward to practising it this weekend weather permitting.
Cheers Dan great video! Dan where is club pointing at address, down the right as the body is or down middle where u want ball to finish? Thanks
Think of a train track, body down the left 👍
I’m 56 playing off 7 and really struggle coming over the top even following your advice. Tried everything😂😂😂😂😂
Great info Dan. I use a few of these already but will try them out next week.

Great video Dan 👍👍👍🤞🤞. Very helpful
Great video Dan 👍
Winderful tips, Dan, especially for us aging golfers. Cheers
Nice vid Dan, im gonna try some of that at the range
Nice video Dan!
Really good video🎉
Brilliant video! Love how you don't over complicate things so my pea sized brain can actually take it in. Did you win at squash?
No, not as good as I remember from 20 years ago 😂
Did laugh when you groaned standing up at the start of point 1 🤣Nice video thanks

No, my quad will not pick it up, you need to put it into left handed 👍

Would have been nice to see a senior doing it Dan
You did 😁
Great video Dan, as an ageing old f**t I will take this to the range, any help in gaining a few yards is appreciated..
Fart ain’t so bad. You a good sort. 😮😂
Excellent. Thanks Dan. I'm guilty as charged - on all five counts!
Am over 50 now need all the help I can get
Unfortunately Dan I put myself in that bracket! Thanks for tips, one of the same for irons would be welcome especially how to compress the ball 😢
For ease of knowing what Feet angle, 10 to 2 on a clock face is a good way of thinking of it.

Good stuff Dan I like to swing the club like a baseball bat as a drill to get the feeling of swing more round my body and feeling the head release

Good vid Dan, I think 50 is the new 40 though 😉
The way I feel 50 was the new 75......

He swings in to out which creates a draw shape especially if hit toe side, if he shuts the face too much he’s more likely to hook it.

Also, loft is your friend....consider that 12 degree driver!

I'm just about to hit my prime lad

Aging golfer was a kick in the teeth 30 seconds in ! 😂

Will it stop my arm bending? hahahahaha, because nothing else does . When I was doing that, it felt like it might help ..

That video will help you with the arm issue.
@Golfing-AddiCt nice 1 brother
As I am only 27, maybe not something I need to focus on just yet 😊😂
40, old?? ... I'm offended 😜 great advice as always, can you use the same technique for, let's say a 2iron off the tee?
Over 40? I am 45 and have never been stronger or hit it further. Get your arses in the gym, that is all you need to know.
😂
Great video Dan
