Indian underground music group Indian Ocean, started their journey in the 90s. Their mix of shlokas, environmentalism, Sufism, mythology and revolution in a jazzy flavor has led them into the forefront of Indian fusion music. Their musical genre can be at best classified as jazz fusion. It is an experimental genre, fusing raga (traditional Indian tunes) with rock music, guitars and drums, sometimes using Indian folk songs.
An initiative of Sun Foundation; ‘Dhaka International FolkFest’ is a celebration of sheer musical brilliance where myriads of folk artistes from home and abroad perform on a single platform.
ইন্ডিয়ান আন্ডারগ্রাউন্ড মিউজিকের অন্যতম সফল ব্যান্ড ইন্ডিয়ান ওশেন নব্বইয়ের দশকে যাত্রা শুরু করে। শ্লোক, সুফি মিউজিক এবং জ্যাজের ফিউশন দিয়ে বিশ্বব্যাপী শ্রোতাদের কাছে অল্প সময়েই গ্রহণযোগ্যতা পেয়েছে ব্যান্ডটি। রক মিউজিকের সংগীতায়োজনে ইন্ডিয়ান রাগ ও ফোক সংগীত পরিবেশনা করে ইন্ডিয়ান ওশেন একটি এক্সপেরিমেন্টাল গানের দল হিসেবে নিজেদেরকে প্রতিষ্ঠিত করেছে।
সান ফাউন্ডেশনের উদ্যোগে আয়োজিত ‘ঢাকা ইন্টারন্যাশনাল ফোকফেস্ট’ লোকসংগীতের এক মিলনমেলা। এ উৎসবে বিশ্বের নানা প্রান্তের লোকসংগীত শিল্পীদের পরিবেশনায় অসাধারণ সব লোকগান শোনার সুযোগ পায় বাংলাদেশের মানুষ।

Those of u who r complaining about audience, just to let u know- The venue 'army stadium dhaka' is a vast area & near about 20 thousands people were there, Cameraman just failed to capture the Right audience.I experienced it live with my full gang.
