Love your reactions to my favorite group. Other songs maybe: Alone; Will you still love me tomorrow, Kiss of Life; and there are many, many more. Barry doing Words at the 1979 Spirits tour live is one of the best performances ever and showcases his powerful chest voice, which is in contrast to his very high falsetto voice! Also…Nights on Broadway, live at the midnight special. Others: ONE, You Win Again…the list is endless! Not to mention all the songs they wrote for others. And the duet with Barry and Barbra, Emotions with them and Samantha Sang; Dionne Warwick’s Heartbreak; Dolly & Kenny Rogers Islands in the Stream; the 1989 One for all your Medley! And on and on!

May I suggest several for the future,
    Mr Natural.
    I Can't See Nobody. Bodyguard.
    And The Sun Will Shine.
    Tomorrow Tomorrow.
    When He's Gone.
    Living Eyes
    Kiss Of Life.
    Bodyguard.
I just typed this and heard you say you have a Playlist. Sorry if I repeated. You could react to one Bee Gees song a week and it would take you years to get through all of their great songs.

Thank you Stan for sharing some BeeGees with us. This song has always been one of my favorites by them. There's one off of their last album that they did called "Wedding Day" that's a real beauty. Would love it if you would give it a listen. I think that you would like it also. Have a great day.

Yes! This and “Wedding Day” are two of my favorite songs by The Bee Gees. I have all their albums, most of them on vinyl. They and Home Free are my two favorite groups of all time.

One more playlist to add is Hall and Oates. The Bee Gees and Hall and Oates are 2 of my favorites along with Carpenters.

Welcome to the fan club. Been a hardcore fan since 72 and still listen to them for an hour or so every evening, and no, I don't get tired of hearing them over and over. These guys were their own genre 😎

Robin singing the refrain is sublime. His plaintive voice is perfect for this part and makes the song.

Their shared lead makes this song.

Robin wrote this song about his brother Andy and his very public relationship and the break up with actress Victoria Principle. Andy tried to kick his cocaine addiction and finally he did but it was too late for her, she left him over it. He was clean for a year before he died but it had done so much damage to his heart he couldn't fight the Myocarditis.

      @nelerhabarber5602 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

No, all three brothers wrote the song and not for Andy. Regarding the subject matter, there are aspects of the lyrics that sound like they could be written about baby brother Andy who’d died five years earlier, but the reality is more likely to be of a romantic love lost. Barry said in a 2009 interview about For Whom The Bell Tolls that when the chorus came to him he knew instantly it would sound nice with brother Robin singing lead. The story with Robin is a complete invention!

Well, it was actually dedicated to their father, who died a year earlier. So the lyrics may also reflect his life & their loss.

Yes congrats on realizing how much they've done for the music industry. They don't fit in one category. They hit every genre of music. From 67 to 2001. Phenomenal group. Loved them all my life. Delve more in to Robin. His voice is what makes that group great. Not Barry's falsetto. His haunting sound is ethereal. Just beautiful.

    • @kthor

Robin's voice sounds best in small doses. And it's Barry's versatile voice (falsetto, head & chest) that makes the Bee Gees who they are.

Andy never ever had sung with his brothers, he was 12 years younger than Barry. He only sang one song "You should be dancing" with his brothers as a GUEST star. He would later become a Bee Gee, but died shortly before his "induction" as a fourth Bee Gees member!

Barry was outvoted twice by the twins for Andy to join.😭Barry felt the only way he could save Andy was to draft him into the Bee Gees.😥Sadly, the twins never put Andy's well-being above their own hangups, or they would've never turned him down. And both times, Andy was clean & sober.😥😥😥
