    Has anyone noticed that some apartments are totally okay with a fish tank, which if it breaks is massive water damage, but a reptile makes them freak out?

    I think if you act very confident and educate the owners on the care and maintenance of your reptiles they will be more apt to let you in. They can see you know what you’re doing and that you care about the protection of the apartment and your pets.

      That definitely goes a long way! Step 1 is finding a land lord that is open-minded and willing to learn 💚

    Please do an in depth video on baby panther chameleon raising and behavior! I am able to learn a lot from your videos and have made necessary adjustments but i cant seem to find much on baby panther chameleons and their development through the first years months anywhere!

      How old of a panther chameleon are you talking about? All of my videos apply to a baby panther chameleon that is 3 months or older :) I do have plans to make a panther chameleon care guide video but I am waiting until my 6 month older female panther is a bit older.

    LOL....AIN'T NOTHING WRONG WITH HAVING ANIMALS BUT SOMETIMES LANDLORDS WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND AND/OR DON'T LIKE ANIMALS PERIOD...
    .MY OPINION THOUGH YA KNOW IF AN ANIMAL CAUSE DAMAGES TO A PROPERTY, THEN YOUR HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGES INCURRED SIMPLY.
    IF AN ANIMAL IS DOING NO HARM, THEN THE LANDLORDS SHOULD HAVE NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT RIGHT?
    LOL SNEAK THEM IN HAHAH I LIKE THAT...ITS JUST CALLED "MAGICIAN PRACTICES" THATS ALL. LOL
    I USED TO HAVE A JACKSON'S CHAMELEON YELLOW CRESTED SPECIE AND I SOLD IT BECAUSE OF ENVIRONMENTAL DISTURBANCES WAS MERELY IMPOSSIBLE TO SUPPRESS... I MADE SURE I SOLD IT TO A PERSON WHO KNEW HOW TO CARE FOR CHAMELEONS AND UNDERSTAND THEIR NATURE THROUGHLY AND IT WENT TO AND OWNER OF 8 CHAMELEONS.
    BUT YEAH KEEP UP THE GOOD VIDEOS!!!

    I am not going to disclose my leopard gecko or my ball python cause these apartment complexes if they do allow them want a huge deposit and monthly rent for the pets that don’t even cause any damage or noise problems

      It cracks me up when apartments think a little gecko or BP are going to cause damage.

    Personally I live in an apartment that my specific apartment not the whole building itself the owner doesn’t allow pets. So I’m not sure about others who live in the same building as me but I think they can have animals. First thing is you’d be surprised about the amount of animals (small animals) that you can keep without people noticing. Specifically for chameleon owners just remove your chameleon from the enclosure and anything obviously reptile related and hide them for a little while if someone from the complex needs to come in to do something. Covering a 4-6 foot tall enclosure is kind of suspicious make it very obvious your super into plants and make it seem like that’s your passion and people will believe you that it’s just a plant terrarium. You can use peoples ignorance to conceal the animals. Gauge the situation before bringing up reptiles when looking for an apartment, if you ask someone and then they see an enclosure they’re gonna know what it is. But if you never mentioned or made it remotely obvious you’re into reptiles they’ll never know, so if you feel like they conversation will go well the go ahead and ask or if you feel it won’t don’t mention it at all and just bring them in. If someone who works there needs to come in just remove the animals from their enclosures temporarily and put them in a smaller container hidden from view. Also I totally think it’s okay to sneak animals into an apartment when it’s not allowed but do not bring anything venomous or poisonous in especially if they don’t know. That is extremely irresponsible.

      Thanks for sharing your experiences!! Taking Neptune out of his enclosure was never really an option for me since he is VERY scared of everything lol

    • @Jimmythejerboa
      @Jimmythejerboa ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NeptunetheChameleon yeah I totally get that but for me personally I have to think is it better to just remove them even if they get stressed out of deal with the possibility of getting evicted or people finding out. If there isn’t a need I wouldn’t do it but if it’s serious sometimes we just have to do what we have to do.

    My chameleon is in my living room because I live in a one bedroom apt. I just turn the lights off when his lights go off and just watch videos on my iPad.

    Great video you guys, these were some wonderful tips! I did have a question about the backgrounds you use for your chams- if I recall correctly you used an all screen cage for baby Venus, how did you attach a background to the screen?

    • @Pumpkinarwhatt
      @Pumpkinarwhatt ปีที่แล้ว

      You use a box cutter to make holes and tie it the back of the cage

      I just tape them to the outside of the enclosure.

    • @NeptunetheChameleon

      You will still need to use your UVB bulb since windows cancel out any UVB.
