    When you ride an entire trail you may feel like a Boss, but without the proper skills Mother Nature can quickly remind you who's really in charge. This video series explores some of the most technical trials around and provides tips on how anyone can become a "Trail Boss"
    “I’ve been traveling the country for years, and it seems like everywhere I go riders always have tales of that one ‘unrideable trail’. I want to experience the thrill of exploring and attempting to clean these local legends and pass along some of my knowledge along the way,” says Lenosky.
    A veteran rider with a 20-year professional career and three Observed Trials National Titles under his belt, Jeff uses his skills to ride the unrideable in Trail Boss.

    Used to ride Emma 1-2x a month, but haven't in a long while. This vid definitely makes me want to go back, though not in this heat. Once highs drop into 80s or even 70s, I'll head out there.

    Looks a lot like a mix between Cleburne State Park and Dinosaur Valley! I've had a lot of fun riding those trails when my parents lived in TX.
    It was good to be exposed to these types of trails before going out to Arizona.

    I'd love to see more of these videos. The thing I struggle most with are step-ups like those. I noticed you hopped some of them--any suggestions for those of us with flat pedals?

      bryon41 subscribe! I'll be putting out one a month. As far as step ups, you really need to use your upper body to do an almost reverse rowing motion to lift the back wheel. It also helps to point your toes down and then scoop back and up with your feet to lift the back wheel.

    Interesting that you have both Giant and Oskar Blues sponsoring you. Is there a Reeb in your future?

      Reeb makes some beautiful bikes but I'm happy with my Giants.

    It's not a "motocross" park. It's a motorcycle park. Motocross parks are comprised of a motocross track as opposed to any other kind of riding, on or off road. Just a heads up in case people are trying to find it.

      Nope, that's just the trail name so if people want to find it that's what they'd have to search for.

    They periodically reverse the direction of the main trail at Emma Long. It now runs the other way. Time to come back and re-record the video. :)

    Well Jeff, there is one monster double step up that is conspicuously absent from your vid. Wondering what happened? If I can do it occasionally, I know you could get it in a couple of tries.

      John Hausmann hmmmm. You’re honestly the first person that’s ever said that I found it about 2 1/2 years ago and was guided around by Tristan Uhl we either missed it or it wasn’t there at the time I would love to see it or check it out sometime.

    Grip if wet or dry? You riding the same limestone as me when it is wet? ;p

    • @JeffLenoskyTrailBoss
      @JeffLenoskyTrailBoss  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      well.... I live in New Jersey and it's always slick so I guess it's all relative ;-)

    • @Gotdurt
      @Gotdurt 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My thoughts exactly, Cooper; you might begin to think you have all the traction you need, then your tire slips on that last glassy ledge of a climb and you go 'nads-first into your stem... I guess "how wet" is key. Now, granite and gneiss are a different story...
