Alien was directed by Ridley Scott who used to work on Doctor Who and was originaly suppose to design The Daleks before leaving the show.
Another brilliant video ladies, and I just wanted to say A HUGE thank you. You two inspired me to start my own channel, and if it hadn't been for the two of you I never would have become a Reactor, and I never would have gotten as far as I have.

For the emotions you get when you are caught up in an episode and crying/laughing/ pissed off, it is nice to watch you two and go 'I know right?!' to the screen.

Oh finally! I was upset there weren't going to be videos for Dark Water and Death in Heaven, but after the Christmas Special I was so looking forward to this!

Definitely seeing a gentler (but no kinder) Malcolm Tucker in the Doctor's characterization here, and that's not a bad thing. About time, I'd say, because this is still an alien being who would be suspicious of Santa Claus, and I think that the Doctor of old would be suspicious, but not so much the NuWho Doctors until now.

The three films that Shona watched on Christmas Day all appeared in the dream - Alien, The Thing, Miracle on 42nd Street - does that mean that it was Shona's dream rather than the Doctor's. I'm really confused, but in a good way.

I don't know how it was called, but i had one of those withe robots like 8 years ago. Sadly, it was stolen, but as far as i can remember it was awesome and could do a lot of stuff. Great video as always, greetings from Uruguay :)

In terms of him remembering when he went into the dream state I think its cause he went in with a strong will to get her out.

So you both wanted Clara to stay; that's obvious. I was ready for her to go, even though I have to admit she did have some amazing moments this series. So now the question is this, which you both casually mentioned; are they still dreaming? Could we be going through part, or even all, of series 9 and it's all a dream? I wonder ...
I would kill Moffat if he did that. He's created a get out of jail free card and I hate episodes that go back on every thing they've established.
David Tennant i do feel like a lot of moffat episode go back on what he was planing them to be about where as it happened less with RTD but that is just my opinion

Moffat confirmed that everything apart from the last scene was a dream, the tangerine represents Santa being real in the real world
Agree ... it would be a huge letdown if any of the next season was a continuation of the dreaming from the Christmas episode. Still the possibility exists. They touched a little on a dream state in the episode "Dark Water" with the sleep-inducing patch.

As always I enjoyed your reactions. Shame about your camera stopping, I would have liked to see your reaction to the children friendly part. Fit`s in with what Amy`s Dr. said though. (Geoff / Jeff, I think)
If you are not going to work your way through Classic Who, you might like to visit the 2nd, Dr.`s story, The Mind Robber. You will notice a connection, several first`s that gave us a shock at the time. First mention of a particular character, though not connected to the one we all know.
I would have thought, it would have been the sack rather than the sleigh. Which thinking of Barnable & 11th, Dr.`s barn conversation in T.O.T.D., could be thanks to the Dr., rather than proof of being a time lord. Perhaps, they will go into that in a future Xmas episode. :)

Haven't you guys ever wondered where the Doctor woke up? The place looks awful like Gallifrey. What if the Doctor did find it? Because in the scene where he was beating the Console Santa showed up. That could mean one thing. Gallifrey might still be there.

ChiqueGeeks why not make a second channel called somert like chiquegeeks2 (very debatable lol) and re upload it onto that one, so if warner bros have a problem they wont add a second strike to your original (current) account.

they really suckered me I had no idea if clara would be staying after this season/series and when I saw old clara I was like oh shit this is how they are going to write her out. she lived out her life is now too old to travel and the doctor came to say good bye. It would have been a satisfying way to say good bye but I'm glad she's staying around I really liked clara I didn't feel her and capaldi had as good of chemistry as she and smith did but I want to see if they do become as good.

don't know about you guys, but i would have preferred it if this was Clara's last episode. Honestly she's been my least favorite, maybe it's because I still miss the Pond's as those three worked so well together. I think they need a new companion who will act more like the doctors cool grandfather or something, instead of one who was prepared to leave because he got old.

Nick Never It was explained in one of their previous videos, basically one of them had to travel away for awhile so they couldn't do reaction videos together during season 8.
We live in different countries, which is why we don't get to film every episode!
ChiqueGeeks What? That's rubbish, one of you move to the other, raise some babies, and film lots of these so my amusement may continue unabated.
Besides, whenever I watch The Time of the Doctor I have to watch it with Amy's reactions so I have someone who's as much of an emotional wreck as I am.

Well, the Doctor only met Santa in the mid-credits scene. So he left Clara, and then cut to credits for a while before the scene played. Maybe there was some kind of time skip right after he left Clara, during which he got the Dream Crab stuck on his face.
findingbuglantis Last Christmas takes place 6 months after Death in Heaven and if Clara was pregnant, she would've sported a convex bump.
