I just picked up one of these watches. I got a great price on it. Its a great watch. Its a little big but im used to it now. Updating the time is super easy.
My 9 o'clock subdial is out of whack. When i try and show summer time it points to the small power reserve indicator for example, anyone have any tips on h ow to "recalibrate" it ? it seemed to go out after I tried to adjust the day of month after a few months of inactive use. eg the day of week can't be set as per the instructions @ 7:03 becase turning the dial allows me to move to Saturday, then it just auto rotates back to the lower power reserve setting in a clock wise manner, it's as though its out about 180 ? After the 2nd complete reset and there was a noticeable clack clack clack to adjust the day of week dial turning but I managed to get the day of week working again and now the second hand doesn't align :) DOH !
Yes it's normal, the caliber H950 is manual reception only and it's not possible to turn off the reception. I contacted Citizen about the same issue and below is the reply I got back. Our instruction manual sure mentions two ways for manual receptions. It is clearly stated on Page 31 on our Caliber H950 manual as you well known. Unfortunately, the illustrated setting guide on TH-cam is incorrect. There is no activate/deactivate signal reception function. We have already informed CITIZEN US team to rectify it. These are great watches, however I think $2600 is kind of high for this for now and hope the price comes down. My wife says I'll probably buy one anyway. ;) The technology excites me. :)

If you can't turn the reception off, wouldn't that mean it's 'automatic' and fixed?
