I just want to thank AJ and all the team at DFB for all their videos. I love listening to every single one they put out - regardless of whether I’m going to Disney or not, they bring joy into my day and I LOVE listening while I’m going about my daily chores. Sincerest thanks
i live near Orlando and get to go to Disney every couple of weeks or so but i still listen to every DFB video and learn something new from all of them. thanks AJ and team for basically being my podcast at work
If you can't afford Genie plus, bought Lightning Lanes and have a limited amount of time, don't expect to ride all the rides or do all the experiences in one park day. The big theme parks are designed so that you have to come back in order to 'do everything'. Accept that and enjoy what you can.
Bring your own water bottle, bring a poncho, bring a cooling towel, bring your own portable charger, and dont forget a extra sd card for your phone. Its absurd how many times i heard people say their phone storage was full.
Not taking advantage of the free water cups at quick service restaurants. I regularly take a cup when I walk by a quick service restaurant and need a drink. I save my water bottle when in a queue, when it's empty, or I want an ice cold water and not close to a quick service place. It's easy to get dehydrated quickly at theme parks.

Another tip: If you are going to WDW in December, please carry a light jacket or a hoodie in your park bag. I was there last December and some of the days the temperature dropped down to 51 degrees. I made the mistake of not packing enough warm clothes.
Can't wait for my 21st birthday trip the weekend before August 30th to September 2nd, haven't been to Disney in 5 years because I was on a Universal ride. Thank you for keeping me updated and my birthday is September 5th btw and I'm 2 hours away from Orlando in a small town of Florida ❤
Thank you for another great video! Tinkerbell's Treasure was an amazing shop! For several years we could always find our daughter's new Disney princess costume there when we couldn't find it in the other shops. Most people may not remember it but we do and truly miss it. Thank you again for this and all of your wonderful videos. Your cousin in eastern NC, Mike
We are trying to work out our schedule for Aug 11-17. We have a 4 park ticket. Would you recommend going to MK on a party day? We can’t buy party tix, but I’m trying to decide if the crowds would be short enough to compensate for the hours lost…TIA
Or save money on the fuel rods all together and bring your AC adapter to charge up phone while you’re eating, drinking your water, or taking a break in shade.
My biggest mistake is purchasing more park days than I can use. This is because I prefer after hour events to the regular park day. I usually purchase my resort and ticket package before the After hour events are announced.
Lord willing we will be there in October. Disney, anywhere, is our family go to. We don't agree with all their politics, but our favorite family memories for 35+ years are on our Disney vacations. ❤
I recently spent a week at All Star Sports - and caught the buses all the time. Cannot complain we rope dropped Epcot and the bus was only 3/4 full. I went to MK at 11am and was the only person on the bus. 🚌 Also travelled back to the resort after MK fireworks on a really busy day and again it was a full bus but there were plenty of buses - waiting to take you back! Really appreciate all the free transportation around the parks and resorts! 🇺🇸 🚊 🚂 🚌 ⛴️ 🚤
I haven't been to WDW since I worked there in 1999. My sister and I are looking into taking my mom there during the Christmas holidays this year to celebrate her 80th birthday. She always loved visiting when the parks were decorated for the holidays. Do you know if the parks keep there holiday shows and decoration after December 25 or does everything end on December 25? I know the Candlelight procession was only before December 24 or 25. Also, we are driving so we will have a car. Is it true that Disney has now reinstated free parking for hotel guests? If so, can we park free at the parks as well as other resorts? (We know we want to plan at least on non-park day and go to the Disney Animal Kingdom Lodge to have a meal.)
AJ I love your videos. They bring happiness to my life. I have a question. Which handheld camera do you recommend for theme parks? I’m looking into the DJI Pocket 3 or Insta360 X4. If you are going solo to Disney.
A lot is actually shot on iPhones! We do love our DJI Pocket 3 -- a LOT of improvements over the previous models. No one on our team has experience with Insta360 so we can't compare, but the DJI produces a really great image even in low light
I got an email saying that POP Century was going to have a food court refurb this August, but I didn’t hear it listed on here. Is that because it’s just a small one?
Everything POP is undergoing refurbishments starting July 29th and is slated to finish up on September 29th, 2024. It won’t be fully closed, though - you’ll just need to make your orders through the My Disney Experience App!
Can I buy an individual lightning lane for Tron 7 days out? If I can, can I pick the time? I’m also going to mickeys not so scary on august 13th, so does that mean I can get an extra chance for a virtual queue at 6pm? I want to ride both Tiana’s and Tron. I’m going with my mom, and she will not ride Tron, but she will ride Tiana’s. I was going to try and get the virtual queue for both of us for Tiana’s early at 7am, but I also want to ride Tron at some point. I’m also going from early entry rope drop to the end of the Halloween party.
The TRON and Tiana’s queues will switch over to Standby queues during the Halloween Party this year! So you won’t have to worry about getting a virtual queue at all if you’re attending the event! Otherwise, yes, you can definitely purchase your Single Pass Lightning Lanes 7 days out as long as you’re staying in a Disney-owned hotel during your visit. If you’re staying off-property, you can book them 3 days out.
are more details given on the websites? like for allears and dfb? like a day in a life of a [resort name] guest? ...becuase the "Bus Loop" had me cuirious in what resorts have the loops and what's the strategy.
Thank you!! We’re glad you’re here! Actually, ALL of the theme park-based Disney buses can take ya over to another park! While they are a reliable transpo option, just keep in mind that it does take them a little bit to arrive at the bus stops/travel over to the park you’re hopping to. So if you’re trying to make it to a reservation, you’ll wanna give yourself plenty of time to travel over.
I'm still waiting for the Disney park that they reckon that the Australian government is supposed to be building but I know that it will never happen and it's not true but it would be fantastic if it did happen.
It’s unfortunate that Peter Pan’s Flight will be closed when I visit magic kingdom on august 13th, but oh well. It’s still going to great! Fingers crossed for decent weather during the Halloween party.
Just a little off-topic, but in line with all the construction updates... Do you have any info on if/when the walkway from Shades of Green to the Poly will come back? Or is this a Chapek-inspired slam at Shades?

Been there, done that too! Very much regretted it and wound up buying a very pricey blanket in EPCOT’s Canada Pavilion to help keep warm 😅
Agreed. We had 2 days where it was 55. Thankfully we brought light jacket
