I'm going marathon weekend with a bunch of WDW newbies. This is a great overview. I think I've mentioned most of this stuff to them but I don't think they actually absorbed most of it. I'm going to point them to this video which I hope will help them start planning. Thank you AJ and the DFB team.
My son absolutely loves hey Disney. He has it read him stories. He plays games with it. It’s a nice little thing when you’re in the room between adventures and you’re on vacation so you don’t want to just watch tv.
AJ, I find your videos informative and entertaining. In a previous video you mentioned bringing a knife, fork, spoon set on vacation. I remembered this as I planned my current vacation to another destination. I packed the set and also included a plastic salad plate and cup. What a life saver. Thank you for all your insight and really good advice.

Along With All The Christmas Decorations Throughout Disney Property! DFB Rocks!💖
I’ve merely just booked my flights and came across this video and WOW my mind is blown at how much information you have packed into this amazing video. So much helpful information. This is exactly what I needed to begin planning my first ever trip to Disney World. Thank you for this and a special thank you also for the hotel guide.
My wife and I are heading to Disney World in late January early February and then ending our trip with her first Disney cruise. This is without our daughter for the first time.
I’m so excited. Not a Disney Newbie but I love watching these videos. We’re going during the week of thanksgiving. First time going during a holiday. And MVMCP on 11/24. Very excited and nervous for both. I know the crowds are going to be bonkers.
A point on Memory Maker, if one person in the party has it they can get all the photos as long as the MM person is in the photo or if they use their MB or MDE or KttWC for the scans. I went with my family and as I was going often enough I bought an AP with MM, and when the rest of my family joined me (with a toddler and a young one) I was able to download all the photos of them meeting the characters / ride photos / group photos. totally worth it for the price.
You're the sweetest person I've never met... Your love & passion for Disney always lifts me up. Your energetic voice reminds me of Tinkerbell from the Tinkerbell movies. (not to get confused with the sassy Tinkerbell from Peter Pan, she's awesome too though!) Thank you for all of your hard work!!! Us Disney fans really appreciate you.
I would love to see a video about an Orlando vacation. Like, how we can stay either in Disney hotel, an outside hotel or a non Disney hotel on property. Talk about how we can go to Universal, Sea World and Disney World. Best tips for this. My wife and I are coming next year. We are driving from North Carolina. We want to stay at the Drury on property of DW. We want to do five days at DW, two days at Universal to include the new park, and one day at Sea World. We might head over to Busch Gardens if the budget allows.
I remember when staying at a Disney resort hotel was similar to cruise pricing. Each room’s rate was based on the number of guest per person up to 4 guests with 2 guests being the cheapest, but 1 guest being the most expensive. The hotels also included hopper passes for all the parks, even the water parks. Also included in the was the hotel’s buffet.
I booked last night for the first weekend in October- I saved almost $750 by booking my Disney Resort hotel stay and tickets separately, which really surprised me being a Florida resident.
First off LOVE YOUR VIDS, College Program Alum, but been years since I have been back and the first time as an adult guest managing a family. I would love to see a more in depth vid about the bus system. The clarification I am struggling to find is understanding where Bus's drop and pickup up for MK, is it near the gate or is it at the TTC? If we secure an early pre-park open time for Cinderella's Royal Table, is bus an option or are we better off driving to the TTC and monorail/boating over to MK?
GREAT QUESTIONS. Let’s get into ‘em! So, there IS a bus that’s over at the TTC that’s like a third option to getting over to Magic Kingdom (instead of using the monorail or ferry). It’s not ALWAYS available, but during busier times of the year, it’s typically more present. That being said, if you’re a Disney hotel guest, your bus will take you right up to the main gate, skipping over the TTC completely. Bus service starts up 45 minutes before a park’s opening (and sometimes even earlier than that during busier seasons). So you SHOULD be okay to still take a bus! That being said, get to your bus stop EARLIER rather than later. Because the one thing that could really slow you down are bus station CROWDS.
If you go to the water parks more than once during a trip, adding the water parks & sports option is very much worth it! Adding it to any multi-day park pass is only $70 more. A standalone single day water park ticket is $74. What am I missing?
Probably a silly question- but what do we do with our park bags when we get on a ride? Do we have to buy a locker rental? Is there somewhere secure near the ride loading/ unloading area to store them? Do we take them on the ride with us?
Mostly you bring bags onto the rides. Some of the rides have a little pouch to stick small items into, some have plenty of room down by your feet, and some like Tron have a locker you must use.
How do we beat the bus loop at AK Lodge? If my family gets on a bus to MK from the lodge which start running 45 minutes before park opening, then will we be behind the 8 ball on rope dropping the park? If we end up getting to use some extended evening hours are the buses still running at that time? Thanks in advance for any answers!
@dfbbreea It's gonna be really special. First time back in ten years when I got proposed to my wife in front of Cinderella's castle. And before that I was a CM in the college program in 2012 so it's been a long time and I'm most excited to show the world to my four year old son.
Nope - but you can walk to Winter Summerland from Disney’s Blizzard Beach, AND you can walk to Fantasia Gardens from Hollywood Studios (though it is a bit of a way’s away, and you might prefer just taking a rideshare over instead).
Great question! EEH are GREAT for hitting up those rides that had too long of waits during the day, HOWEVER…. They can become kind of a gamble, too. Once, I went to Hollywood Studios and I waited to ride Rise of the Resistance until that EEH time, but Rise just kept breaking down toward the end of the night. So there was that level of panic over whether I’d actually be able to get on it or not. Finally, we were able to - but I think that’s the main downside for EEH. It’s GREAT…… just as long as all the rides are cooperating with ya. LLMP can be that safety net that EEH can’t provide. All in all, I think you should be fine without it at EPCOT… and you MIGHT be still be okay without it at DHS. BUT if you’re going during a peak season (like around the holidays, spring break, etc.), I’d still recommend using Lightning Lanes to give you that line-bypassing advantage.
So with the new single pass modify feature to a different single pass LL I have a question on this. So if i book a LLSP (lightning lane single pass) for guardians on my first day and modify to flight of passage on another day of my trip. If i already have a flight of passage LL booked for that day, am i able to hold 2 of those or is it still 1 only?
Unfortunately, you can only book one ride-through of a certain Single Pass Lightning Lane on a single day. You could totally book the same Single Pass twice in a row (across two separate days). But when it comes to same-day Single Passes, you can book up to two of them, BUT they must be for different rides.
Great video. I hear ya on the water bottles but FL water is gross ya'll. LIke 1-star, I'll just dehydrate for a week bad. Has Disney figured that out? Do you have like a "Top 10 places to get Sulfur Free Water" type video? I'm worried about it.
Honestly, the quick services usually have pretty tasty water. There are some refillable water bottle stations that do taste like sulfur (like the one at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in MK is pretty rough LOL). Track down the self-serve water stations (like at the freestyle/soda refill machines, as well as the free self-serve water stations that you’ll find typically outside Casey’s Corner, etc.). Those typically have better water. And if you’re still worried about the taste, invest in some Liquid IV packets/flavor packets before you go! That way, you can turn any potential “swamp tasting” water into a fun a fruity flavor!
ADR can commonly mean other things besides so Id be wary of using that for advance dining reservations haha. typically thats a financial and/or legal term, most commonly
actually a lot of things aren't available to international visitors...this is mostly for the US but the restaurants and resorts are the same for everyone
I have zero desire to be staring at my phone for half the time I'm in Disney. We functioned at at Disney parks for decades without cell phones and "convenience" features. You get a map, read it, and plan out your day as you go. Done. Now everything's an app, reservation, Magic band, Lightning Lane...ugh
Wild, right? A US based channel, talking about TYPICALLY the US based parks (although they cover changes at international parks), to its mostly US based audience. Instead of approaching this like a thoughtless "habit", maybe you could ask for what you want. Like, "Hey DFB! Could you cover international travelers expectations/experiences (whatever you actually want to know more about that they are somehow failing you on)?" They love listening to their audience, though I think better results come from asking for what you want instead of trying to make a clever and passively stabby observation.
In Canada stores try to do that with gift cards but people took it to court and it went all the way to the top. They can't expire now. I'm sure Disney had their lawyers all over this ...maybe the way it works prevents them from being liable. it would be interesting to know
A vacation that I will over pay for, wait in endless lines and stare at my phone all day. No Thanks! There’s plenty to do. Skip Disney-Save your Money and enjoy yourself!

@davidrojas6457 official site. Stayed at the yacht and beach club and had 3 day park hopper tickets (×4 w/ fl res. Discount).
Also Did anyone else catch when AJ said “Super dee duper” like in reference to barneyy
Park hopping saved me because I only wanted a half day in HS and park hopper costs less than a park ticket

I prefer the Disney Value Resort Motels!
Does anyone know how much the photos are individually?!
Does Disney provide transportation to the miniature golf courses?
Nope - but you can walk to Winter Summerland from Disney’s Blizzard Beach, AND you can walk to Fantasia Gardens from Hollywood Studios (though it is a bit of a way’s away, and you might prefer just taking a rideshare over instead).
