OH how this scrappy little journal made my heart sing!!! As much as I enjoy seeing journals made from beautiful digi-kits and fancy ephemera, THIS is the kind of creativity I was raised with. The only art supplies my Mum could afford to give me were an old pair of scissors, a ruler, glue, crayons, plastic pan of 8 watercolors and construction paper. She would scrounge to find magazines and an occasional wallpaper sample book for me well...I spent my *entire* childhood in creative ecstasy with these meager supplies and could not have been happier. To this day, I prefer to create with what is considered junk. Blessings to you and yours ❤

I have only been watching junk journal videos for the past year or so and have had a go at making a small journal for my friend, I really love it and hope to get better as I do more. I wanted to commend you for the very nice way you speak about your husband and how important it is to you to spend time with him. This is such a refreshing attitude in these 'interesting times'. Yup, I'm here too on Thanksgiving Day. Happy Turkey Day Gayle!!! It's early in the morning as I watch this. I baked the pie and stuffing late last night so that all I have to do today is put the bird in the oven and make mash potato's. It's just me, my husband and my mother this year....nice and quiet. But for some reason I'm still cooking a full on Thanksgiving meal...lol It is way more relaxed this year and not "rushed" so I am thankful for that.

Love your videos! When I have trouble getting a punch to work, I put the top of the punch face down on my work surface so the underside is facing up. Then I push down on the underside to punch out the shape. Works very well with my bum grip that would otherwise make it too hard to operate the punch as it is intended. Hope this helps! Your journals are always so beautifully done and inspiring! TFS!

Or does he sneak down to try to steal a peek hoping you are too busy crafting to realize he’s at it again... undercover Mike 😂 Yesterday I dug up my little Christmas tree. I can not remember when the last time was that one made an appearance, a decade or more I’d say. Need some lights for it and perhaps an ornament or two. But yeah, feel the need to brighten things up as well. Kitchen window also on the list, got 5 stars ⭐️ Yesterday I dropped off the little journal I made from scraps and whatnots into the little cabinet library that’s in someone’s front garden. Just a little treasure for someone to find that will brighten up this year a little hopefully. On a tag I wrote ‘handmade by’ followed by an e-mail address so who knows... maybe whoever finds it will drop a line. Have a relaxing day! ❤️
When you mentioned the bust exerciser thing, I remember my mom and her sister using one my uncle made for them. They were cracking up and us kids cracked up along with them. Next time you have trouble with a punch like that, maybe try standing up and putting it on the table (right side up). You'll have leverage to push down. Thanks for reminding me I had glitter cardstock. I can never think of a reason to use it. I'll run it through my Big Shot with the new Christmas die cuts I bought. Thanks for sharing. I’m more determined to distill them BUT pretty them up like yours so children and the grands and the greats might be more interested/entertained/inspired to investigate as you do all of us EVERYDAY!!! I LOVE Pearls Before Swine. This one was great. Happy Thanksgiving! Actually, I’m watching on Thanksgiving evening. I did a CoVID cheat and came to Seattle for the holiday to be with my kiddos. I’m going to be quarantined for two weeks downstairs when I get home, but that’s ok. I needed the change. I’ve been working on six cinch December dailies for my friends while my granddaughter has been working on virtual school. I promised myself that my suitcase would be lighter on the return trip. Hope your four days rest are good for you.

I went back and watch the other half of his video on a different day and was just cracking up on you trying to punch I have done that many times and really it is not the paper it’s operator error it’s because we get stingy and want to get the most use out of our paper and we get closest to the edge and so it does that even on a brand new one it wants at least some room to go through I loved it I laughed so hard right along with you thank you so much for that!!! Costco chicken, Stovetop Stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes that are too garlicky and I like garlic, and packaged chicken gravy. Took all of 15 minutes to prepare and believe me that’s a lot for me.

I’m going to be quarantined for two weeks downstairs when I get home, but that’s ok. I needed the change. I’ve been working on six cinch December dailies for my friends while my granddaughter has been working on virtual school. I promised myself that my suitcase would be lighter on the return trip. Hope your four days rest are good for you.

Last night I watched 'Christmas Chronicles 2' with Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell on Netflix. I recommend it. You might want to watch the first one before this one because they do make references. I went back and watch the other half of his video on a different day and was just cracking up on you trying to punch I have done that many times and really it is not the paper it’s operator error it’s because we get stingy and want to get the most use out of our paper and we get closest to the edge and so it does that even on a brand new one it wants at least some room to go through I loved it I laughed so hard right along with you thank you so much for that!!! I have some old punches that do that, sometimes I can sharpen them with Aluminum foil that might help with that one.

Costco chicken, Stovetop Stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes that are too garlicky and I like garlic, and packaged chicken gravy. Took all of 15 minutes to prepare and believe me that’s a lot for me.
