If it's critical then ski to work. Spend the night get over time, eat more snacks and change out equipment ,ski home. Why not ? You got to be safe I know....Do not want to fill out the paperwork for Damaged Snow cat..OUCH!!!! Glad your having fun.
We are coyote “harvesters”. I’ll tell you how we do it, but not on social media: 22 of them in one afternoon. I have some great videos. We use Wilson Creek VOR flying from Idaho to Sedona and back. I’m glad you are on the ground (snow) servicing it. You have no idea how important your job is to us pilots. THANK YOU!!
Oh man, that is so cool to hear that you use that VOR and I'd assume the local radios. I am a commercial helicopter pilot and Private fixed wing guy so I definitely appreciate these machines. It is neat to hear from someone that actually uses the Wilson Creek location. We'll do our best to keep it up for you! Thank you for writing, you just made my day.
Great commentary. Especially about all the foxes.Your coyotes are howling about inclusivity. But it isn’t just about driving! Tell us more about your Tucker’s specs, capabilities, regular servicing, maintenance, wish list for add-on equipment to make it better, etc.
Thank you Steve, I appreciate your thoughts and taking the time to watch the video. I think you have a great idea with regards to the specs on the Tucker. I am actually new to it as well, it would be good for me to learn more about it. You also are correct about my anti-coyote/pro-fox bias, coyotes would always eat the cats and dogs in our old neighborhood so they aren't my favorite creatures. Thanks again for watching!
I’m almost 70 and love winter and love snowmobiling. However, we are seriously thinking about a snowcat. We have a cabin 24 miles NW of Yellowpine Idaho. A snowcat with a blade might just be our new thing!
We have rules regarding overtime and working into the dark on the mountain - unless the equipment in question is deemed worthy of something out of the ordinary. No one wants to drive that far out to milk something, we'd rather just get it done.
I'm a little bummed that we didn't get to see you use that factory 6 way blade. I also have a Tucker Tera and am in the process of building my own 6 way as I can do it myself much cheaper than buying a factory blade. How many miles was it round trip?. The most I've traveled in a day was 60 miles.
We have limitations on darkness - at a certain point we have to realize that we are not going to completely clear the road before dark and make the choice to start heading down the mountain. Even when we turn around at roughly 3pm we aren't getting back to base until almost 10pm at night, then we head back up at 6am - those are some long days.
You are correct, they actually once had two guys with snowmobiles permanently stationed in a town nearby, unfortunately the importance of this equipment was downgraded as well as made more reliable. We are based roughly three hours from the base of the mountain. We're regulated by overtime rules, I ended up putting snowshoes on and hiking in the next day.
That was an awesome video the lord was with you my brother
Thank you very much, that few days was pretty incredible. God was definitely watching over us.

I did put snowshoes on and hiked in the next day, five miles got it done on day three.
Awesome man keep it up
Thank you Chad, I appreciate your thoughts and taking the time to watch my video. I hope you're having a great 2024 so far.

Get a laser temp measuring device to check for warm spots on equipment!
Good call, it'd be nice to know what is a normal temperature vs. a hot part - that's a great idea.
What’s gonna change the next day that Chase could then do??? Seems like he’s milking it or afraid.

Yeah, sorry, that wasn't my job that day. I was back up for the Piston Bully with the big blade.
why did you turn back. Are you changing out radios or something.

Just be working for state or federal Private Industry wouldn't put up with that send a couple dudes on snowmobiles

Sno-Cats are great! Music Sucks!!
Yep, hard to find good free music these days. Thanks for watching.
