Vander is not a character in League but he is playable in TFT. In Warwick's lore it says "the last thing he heard before he died was the cries of two little girls fighting"
LOL players didn't know that Vander was Warwick either. We found out from Arcane. But I knew it from season 1 thanks to signs. I think most of LOL players knew it too.
Warwick's lore has changed. The original wasn't like this I believe. After Riot announced Arcane to be a tv show, they started reworking characters' lore to fit the script.
@@Mehoyboi Yeah, but obviously noone knew who Vander was before Arcane, since he was introduced with Arcane. But yeah, there were HUGE hints/signs who Vander turns into

It's not an outlandish thing to think. It's made pretty clear in that he respects & pities Vander, and there's been multiple things which showcase his bit of soft-spot for children. I think the primary reason he didn't was to see how WW would interact with Jinx, personally. His research triumphs over everything else, so if there's a possibility for furthering it, he does it.

The only thing the league lore says about warwicks past is that he was a gangster who could not escape the sins of his past. And he has a bunch of voicelines in the game when he encounters other zaun characters, ex: he says singed gave him claws, and he has a few voicelines that imply he has met vi/jinx/cait/ekko/etc.. before. Vander was new to league fans. But by the end of season1 most people were already theorizing about this, because it fit.
thx for being one of the only reactors that didn't get spoiled that Warwick is Vander before that episode also it isn't specify in the lore that warwick was vander, just that he was once a man, there have been many hints that warwick is vander and people was hoping for that but no one knew for sure until this episode.

1:00 Bro, I've been playing like since 2010 and I had no idea what the "Black rose" even was before the show. I remembered the ingame voice line of one character but that's it. Don't know why people say stuff like that tbh.
The scene where Jinx dresses up as an Enforcer is a reference to "Legends of Runeterra" when someone mistakes Jinx for an Enforcer and Jinx does a really bad impression of what she thinks an Enforcer sounds like but not even bothering to hide her usual childish, crazy eccentricities, gun noises and all.(Fun Fact: "Legends of Runeterra" was also where we first learned Jinx`s real name Powder, that Ekko had a crush on her before she went crazy and started talking to her guns and it was confirmed that Jinx and Vi were sisters which fans theorized for years).
if u payed attention when they shows the tree and the mural undeground, Ekko is on it , and we know on the mural they only have people that died. because of the timeskip people think they died
From what I've heard down the pipeline they are going to start making Arcane canon and more or less editing the backstory of existing characters to match Arcane.

Vander`s basically a composite of Warwick and the bartender in the Lanes mentioned in Vi`s lore who instilled in her a strong sense of justice and care for the downtrodden and innocent in Piltover and Zaun alike, he`s not really alluded to in Jinx`s lore but that`s because prior to "Arcane" they did not wish to spoil Vi and Jinx`s exact relationship even though it was obvious to anyone with half a brain they were sisters, Riot really sucked at hiding it so by "Legends of Runeterra" and "Arcane" they threw in the towel and officially confirmed it!Also even in the Game Warwick does ask Vi "Who taught you how to punch?" and now we know it was him, Vander.
