It's possible to monetize with an AI generated image, but it's not possible to register the creation with copyright right?
My understanding is makeing somthing with AI on your own hardware is the same as using any software to make art legally no different then krita but using someone elses hardware like midjourney or dall-e is where the eho owns what gets a bit more murky also if ur using it to copy chracters that are already trade marked or copy righted i.e. like batman its still the same laws your breaking as trying to draw those characters by hand and sell them. Remember though until some of thr lawsuits are settles its still in a bit of legal limbo but seems that its leaning toward ai is a tool no different then photoshop or a camera
Brah the law say if you do an ai prompt, the only way do get copyright ©️ is also by proof of artistry so you have to prove a human provided something that makes it unique.
I run a unique print business if I print a print. Then physically add say an ultradark black paint technically I can copyright that image if I so choose because I also edited it irl with a lil artistic pizzazz.
Still in most real cases it's completely unnecessary to worry about copyright. You'll likely never run into it an if you do meh you can make a big stink then and call in the lawyers.
@@16bitPRNTZ ya still not law that's just the current policy I'm aware I keep up on this stuff that wasn't the case 2 months ago at that point when I made this comment there was no policy in place yet. Still think it's a dumb policy but thw work I use its covered even still so its not much skin off my nose.
@@16bitPRNTZ Like my work for instance I usually essentially use the outputs like clip art for bashing or occasionally I'll fix one or two up. that my system can output that's cool. But they all get put through gimp, to cut out the things I want then converted to upscale by shifting them between file types then they end up in krita for a draw over or touch up depending on whats needed then depending on what file types I need save and export maybe resize for different use cases. Then I'm ready. One of the most unexpectedly useful cases for a locally running copy of stable diffusion I've found though is I can imag2image and tell it to 100% copy the original image but output it in any ratio I need. Usually do it low res save as a png then convert it to a vector like a pdf and upscale it then resave as a jpeg. but it makes resizing photography so damn easy now.
@@16bitPRNTZ to make high level artistry with AI is not THAT easy, lot a lot of people can install and use all functions of SD, and write god tier prompts.
Why would they pay if they can get them for free?
