That looks more like a shark than a "dragon"
Star Wars designs are unique when it comes to certain creatures, and the way the Krayt Dragon acted well yeah acted like a shark. Tatooine was once a covered in water like way before the Old Republic so who knew if they acted like sea snakes or other aquatic reptiles. Perhaps even the behaviour off it acting like a shark made it stand out.
