yea, exactly! Because of 如燕 has been such a classic for so many years, so it’s natural for people to compare. But honestly, the moment I heard the intro of 落花如雨, I was hooked! It has this nostalgic vibe, full of Nanyang flavor, and the emotional lyrics combined with Kit Chan’s voice make it absolutely perfect. I’m sure once the drama airs, the song will hit even harder and feel even more meaningful.

The moment I hear this song, I fell in love with it, the more I listen the more I love it too. The lyrics and tune really moved me. :') Looking forward to watching Emerald Hill as Little Nonya was once my favourite show as a child.
The melody has a nice blend of traditional elements which gives it a unique charm. While it's different from the original, it still has its own beauty. Kit Chan's rendition is definitely worth listening to!
Frankly all these years i didnt play oliver's 如燕 as much as kit's version just within these 2 days of its release. Oliver's version i feel its ok...for kit's version - mean its the unique vocal of kit that is just so captivating.. with the nice blend in of the nonya music (which i feel its just nice). This new version sung by kit is definitely more 耐听..its just like a different level..huge credit goes to kit's voice.

I love that I hear some melody from Ru Yan, but as a non-Mandarin speaker, I felt that Ru Yan's wistful dramatic tone moved me more. This song is lovely but lacks the instant emotions from Ru Yan. I guess subtitles would help.

The cast looks so modern...I like those actresses but they honestly do not have the look for that era...
The song is nice and Kit has great vocal but the song fails to create the grandeur of the highly anticipated epic drama. And the MV is a total letdown like a glass of plain water no drama just images here and there. It doesn't makes me wants to follow this series

普通不好听
新加坡没有年轻的华语音乐人了。作曲作词竟然都是60岁的老人家，唱主题曲的找比Olivia还要老的老CharBo。这首主题曲歌曲风像二十年前的歌，甚至听起来还要老还要难听，真是悲哀啊。
因为年轻人写不出也唱不出这感觉.
