Do yourself a favor and buy 2 extra sets of interior cushions. Yeah they say replace your helmet every 5 years , but why if it's in good shape yet. HJC has a problem of discontinuing insert product lines. So buy extra now and enjoy your helmet longer. Visor attachment screws tend to come loose over time, so add a little Loctite at your first opportunity. I'm so happy HJC returned to the helmet top slide for the dark visor. The C90 had it on the left chin area, which was a pain to find, while wearing gloves, with no quick release. Slide it forward. To raise it just tap the top of your head. So much easier.

The C91 here locally AND on Amazon run around $160, the I90 on Amazon runs $220-$250 depending on color scheme, so at the cheapest there’s a $60 difference. 🤷🏼♂️

ECE22-06 is the new safety standard for helmets. I think the N on this model, relates to that. I also wouldn't ride with the helmet open, as it's not designed for that. Obviously it's personal choice. I prefer the d- ring mechanism too
Hey John, In general venting is not water tight. You're going to get some blow by in heavy weather with most helmets including the C91. If you know you're going to hit sustained wet weather we'd recommend taping up your vents. Premium helmets tend to have tighter vent tolerances and more robust shield gaskets (Shoei, Schuberth, Arai), so if this is important to you give us a ring and we can make some suggestions - 1-866-573-2820. We'd also welcome folks to chime in here about what helmets they've had good luck with in the wet.

i90 is the newer model and compatible with the 2nd gen HJC smart systems.

What is the difference between C91 and I91?.
They are both modular helmets.
Pretty comparable. However the i91 is the newer model and you can use the new 2nd gen Smart system.

My helmet is white so I just used white out. If you get a black one I suggest a Sharpe or nail polish. Stay ghetto my friend ✌️

Locally I checked out the C91 and asked this same question, salesman wasn’t for sure so he gave it a go and YES it is a sticker that does peel off. 👍🏻

I rode with my c91 on my gold wing in a moderate rain and my head and face was completely dry
