      • {… and follow him that you may be guided. …}[Quran 7:158]
There are many verses to that effect. The Quran, to those who believe in it, clearly stipulates the obligation of obeying the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and that obedience to him is obedience to Allaah, The Exalted. Therefore, Muslims are obliged to comply with the commands of the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, because they were revealed to him by Allaah, The Exalted, and obedience to him is obedience to Allaah, The Exalted.
Claiming that following the Prophet, sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam, and obeying him is Shirk is considered disbelief in the Quran. The person who puts forward such an argument does not believe in the Quran even if he claims that he reveres it and abides by its teachings.

Probably the best hadith you ever hear 🤯
    Aws bin Aws narrated:
    Allah's Messenger said to me:
"Whoever performs Ghusl on Friday, and
    bathes completely, and goes early,
arriving early, gets close and listens and
is silent, there will be for him in every
step he take the reward of a year of
    fasting and standing (in prayer).

Just like saying reciting Surah Ikhlaas is like reciting one third of the Qur'an. There are no shortcuts to doing great things. It may be equal to a third of the Qur'an in meaning as Tawhid (apart from revelation and day of judgment) roughly covers a third of the message, but not in reward of reciting a third of the Qur'an.

  • @aq4356

For the sincere people wondering why Imam Bukhari's collection is so famous then, it's because his objective when writing his Sahih was that he only wanted authentic and short chains to be in, as other books had a lot of weak ones which were aimed at the scholars of hadith to judge. It's not because Imam Bukhari's book was the first one as many ignorant people claim.
And also, the Islamic tradition is an oral tradition, in the early period scholars mainly relied on memorization and oral transmission. And still many aspects of Islam are relied orally, like the memorization of the Qur'an, memorization of ahadith and fiqh books with their explanations and so on. Written books were only made to make it easier for the people.

Some of the early hadith collections and books which contain hadith, all by scholars born before the year 200 AH
1-The Saheefah of Hamam Bin munabbih (born 19 AH , meaning only 8 years after the prophet’s death , studied directly under his companions)
2- the Juz of Ibn Juraij (born 80 Ah)
3- The Muwatta of Imam Malik , as mentioned by the sheik , born 93 AH
4- The Mashyakah of Ibn Tahman (died 168 AH)
5- The Jami’ of Muamar Bin Rashid (born 93 Ah)
6- Kitab Al Athar By Abu Yusuf Al-ansari (born 113 ah)
7- The Musnad of Ibn Mubarak as well as Kitab Al Zuhd Wa’ Al Raqa’aiq , And Al Jihad (born 118 ah)
-8 the Musnad of Al-Tayalsi (born 133 Ah) , This was collected by Yunus Bin Habib , who in turn was born (94 Ah)
9- Kitab Al-zuhd by Abi Muhammad Al Absi (born 120 ah)
10- The tafsir of Yahya Bin Salam born (124 Ah)
11- Al Jami’ and Al qadar all by Abdullah bin wahab (born 125 ah)
12- Kitab Al-zuhd by al Mu’afa bin Umran (born 121 Ah according to Imam Al-Dahabi)
13- The Musanaf of Abdulrazaq al san’ani (born 126 ah) as well as his famous tafsir
14- Kitab Al-Zuhd By Waki’ Bin Al-jarah (born 129 Ah)
15- Kitab Al Zuhd by Assad Bin musa (Born 132 AH)
16- Kitab Al-athar by Muhammad al shaibani (born 131 ah)
17- The Musnad of Ali Ibn Al-jaad (born 134 ah) collected by al bagawi his student
18- the Juz of Bakr bin bakar (died 207 Ah)
19- The Nuskah of Talut Bin Abad (died 238 , born approximately in the first half of the 2nd century) as collected by al bagawi , his collection is unique as it contains extremely short chains dating back to the prophet , with at times two persons between him and the companions of the prophet and three between him and the prophet Muhammad peace and blessings be upon him
20- The Musnad And Al Sunan Al-Mathor both by Al Shafi’i born 150 Ah, he narrated hadiths in other places as well
21- Kitab Al-zuhd by Hanad Bin al-Siri (born 152 ah)
22- The Musnad of Al Humaidi , One of The Sheiks of imam Al-Bukhari (Died 219 AH)
23- The Musanaf Of Ibn Abi Shaybah (born 159 AH)
24- The musnad of kalifah bin al khayat , and well as his History collection (born 160 Ah)

26- The Musnad of Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal (born 164 ah)
27- Al Tabaqat By Ibn Saad (Born 168 AH)
And I reiterate that these are only some , not all , and all of them are by people born less than 200 years from the Prophet’s death , peace and blessings be upon him , and born before Imam Bukhari and Imam muslim

Responding to a shubha that some people are throwing out there.
So the claim is Imam Al Bukhari collected 600,000 hadith in 16 years thus after doing the calculation they say he needed 14 minutes for each hadith. This takes into consideration that when will he have the time to study the Elm al Rejal (study of the men narrating ) , travel around to meet the narrators , study, examine and also have time to pray, eat, drink and sleep etc.

Answer: Now looking at the 600,000 hadith we have which basically contains all the books of hadith that have the authentic, the weak, the false ones and everything within it. You will not find each and every one of the hadiths saying Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) said etc.

The word hadith here basically resorts to every ISNAD or way that leads to that one saying.
Isnad definition: a list of authorities who have transmitted a report (hadith) of a statement, action, or approbation of Prophet Muhammad PBUH, of one of his Companions (Ṣaḥābah), or of a later authority)
A good example of what I'm saying above is ; the hadith of the saying of the Prophet (PBUH) Do not tell a lie against me for whoever tells a lie against me (intentionally) then he will surely enter the Hell-fire.".
This hadith was narrated from so many of the companions thus each one of them narrating it is called a hadith even though the hadith is saying the same thing.
It doesn’t end there though like for example a Sahabi (companion) who lived at the time of the prophet narrated a hadith about the prophet and through this companion, four other narrators narrated the same hadith. Then each one narrating it is considered a hadith. So, to conclude this point, Bukhari can study one saying from the prophet Muhammad (Pbuh) and under this one saying they can be 100 narrators of the same saying thus having 100 hadiths.
Now to come to the big point here is to understand how Bukhari collected his Sahih hadiths. Now these so-called sceptics of Imam Al Bukhari assume that Al Bukhari started searching for the Sahih hadiths in a span of 16 years only. So, the question we got to ask these sceptics is before those 16 years what was Al Bukhari doing? Walking? Sleeping? Time wasting? Thus, they assume that Bukhari had to travel around and meet the narrators, study, examine etc all in the space of 16 years which is a FALSE narrative.
What these sceptics do not know is Al Bukhari before writing down his books of Sahih hadith, he wrote down a book which contains a study of 1000 narrators from the narrators of hadith. The volume is called Tarikh Al Kabeer by Imam Al Bukhari in it he studies the narrators of the hadiths and writes down some hadiths which was written before his Sahih volume. Which means that when Imam AL Bukhari started collecting the hadiths he had already finished with the study of the narrators. He also published other books before the Sahih Hadith books that contained Hadiths therefore crushing the assumption that he started all his work in a span of 16 years.
    Alhamdulilah for Islam

Assalaamualaikum brother Uthman. The Hadith deniers are not only in 2 groups of ignorant and own desires, there is a third category of Hadith deniers who are munafiqs and enemy of Islaam that is trying to undermine Islaam by denying Hadith. This enemy is of two kinds, one who is trying to stop people praying 5 fardh prayers which automatically removes those from Islaam doing that. 2nd kind of enemy is the one who denies Hadith for denying prophet Muhammad SallAlhualaihiwassallam directly.

At the beginning, the importance was the Quran. Once this was collected, attention of the scholars of Islam returned to Hadith. Quran and Hadith are reported by the same people. Denying one, one denies the other. That does not mean every single Hadith is Authentic. If it were, you will be talking almost another Quran. That is why first source of Islam is Quran, then the Authentic Hadith.

@@HajjiJesus and that's also the reason why the Islamophobics mainly use hadith to "trap" the muslims , since they (probably) know that Al Qur'an is undefeated, but with some "twisted words" you can trap some people with Hadith (especially the Weak one) and not a lot of scholars or common muslims really know much about hadith , hence the Syubhat that got spread on many sides of The Earth

There is absolutely no evidence that hadiths are the words of the prophet.
The entire concept of " The rightly guided caliphs" had been invented by corrupt scholars later in order justify hadith isnads.
Because as soon as the "the four rightly guided caliphs" claim anything then that cannot be questioned and must have come from the prophet.
Basically hadith apologists trap themselves in a never ending cycle of circular reasoning in order the justify something their claims.
Your entire claim about hadith isnads fall down like a card house when the concept of four rightly guided caliphs are taken out. But again be happy in your circular reasoning.
You : Abu bakr said that prophet said "...... "
Me : How can you prove that prophet Muhammed realy said that
You : because abu bakr said that
Me : how is that convincing evidence. Humans being can have ill motives and someone could have lied and attributed this to abu bakr.
You : So you don't believe in abu bakr. You are a kafir, don't you know abu bakr was one of the rightly guided caliphs. How can he be wrong.
Me : the quran never talks about the concept of caliphs let alone rightly guided ones.
You : You are an imbecile. You don't belive in hadith.
Me : before I can belive in hadith I need to have compelling evidence about the authority, reliability and authenticity of the hadeeth keeping mind that there are so many weak hadiths.
You : You are a kafir because you don't belive in hadith
Me : So give me evidence about their reliability and authenticity.
You : How can you question the hadiths given to us by sahabas.....
(AND THE SUNNI/SHIA CIRCULAR REASONING NEVER STOPS)

@@anonymous.2471This might get a bit long but bear with me. Before we start please understand that Hadeeth are the words, actions and acquiescence of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH.
Let's start with establishing that hadeeth are also revelation of a sort, or that at least they are approved by the command of Allah. That the command of the prophet PBUH are to be followed as an extension of the command of Allah.
( 44 ) [We sent them] with clear proofs and written ordinances. And We revealed to you the message that you may make clear to the people what was sent down to them and that they might give thought. (16:44)
This verse proves that it is a duty of a prophet to not only deliver the Book but to also make it clear I.e. explain it. And explaining is done in their own words which is what hadeeth is.
And whatever the Messenger has given you - take; and what he has forbidden you - refrain from. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty.
Here the verse specifically refers to what the prophet forbids, the quran is not from the prophet it is from Allah and so this verse is about the prophets own words.
Say, "Obey Allah and the Messenger." But if they turn away - then indeed, Allah does not like the disbelievers.
This verse is mentions obeying both Allah and the Prophet. How can you obey the prophet without learning what he said through the Hadeeth?
He who obeys the Messenger has obeyed Allah; but those who turn away - We have not sent you over them as a guardian.
Another verse mentioning both Allah and the Prophet. And this time note that it says if you obey the prophet THEN you have obeyed Allah. So obeying the prophet is is a separate action that is then equated to following the Creator.
      An-Noor - Aya 56وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَأَطِيعُوا الرَّسُولَ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ
And establish the prayer and give Zakah and obey the prophet so that you may gain mercy.
Here it's even more explicit, no mention of obeying Allah with it. Just of obeying the prophet. So obeying the prophet is necessary in islam.
There are many more verse, some of which I will just mention, you can look over them yourself if you need more convincing.
      An-Nisaa - Aya 69
      Al-Maaida - Aya 92
      Al-A'raaf - Aya 157
Ok, now on to the second part. How can we trust the Hadeeths? First we need to understand how the quran was preserved and transmitted to us. It was transmitted through oral-transmission from the prophet PBUH teaching the companions to them teaching their students to us in the modern times. Sound familiar? That's because the Ahadeeth were also preserved in the same way : chains of narration I.e. Asnaad.
Now let's say one argues that 'oh I don't trust these chains I trust the words of God when He says we have preserved it' we must also accept the method through which Allah preserved it and the sabab through which it reached us. If we don't then will we blindly follow without reason like the past nations without thought or logic? Then we can't say anything to the Christians for their following of the bible either with that same reasoning.
If one argues that we have the manuscripts then this is not a method of transmission. Its a topic in which strides have only been made recently, one that would have come with a lot of problems if we didn't have ahadeeth regarding the ahruf, qiraat and companion codices.also it is knly a method of verification, not the method of transmission. And we see that the manuscripts had something which facilitated autocorrectiveness, a source through which inheritance generational mistakes were avoided and scribes copying form manuscripts with mistakes could identify those mistakes and correct them. This sources was the quran which was transmitted through word of mouth.
Now if we understand that Ahadeeth are also transmitted using this same modality as the Quran, These chains of transmission, then we must accept that the mode of transmission cannot be rejected lest we reject the quran also.
Now we get to the last point which is that to truly understand this matter we need to study the science of hadeeth and اسماء الرجال. That there are various levels of authenticity and proliferation for the various chains and that the quran recitations are both authentic (Saheeh) and proliferate (mutawaatir), meaning lots and lots of chains. By that same logic other ahadeeth which are both saheeh and mutawatir are on the same level as quran in terms of being necessary to follow. As he who follows the prophet is following Allah, as Allah himself says. As for other Ahadeeth then the scholars have various discussions as to what should be followed and when. Because of it's authentically proven to be from the prophet and doesn't contradict the Quran or details and explains what is in the quran then why should it not be followed?
