I just recently reunited with my internet friend after 3 years of talking with him. He and I are really big Miracle Musical fans, and one night of chilling between me and him this song gets in my recommended. I never heard of it, so i asked him about it. He said he never knew this song existed. We both listened this for the first time together. One of the most magical moments between our meetup. Thank you, Miracle Musical.
With comments being reopened, I can finally talk about how this song is my favorite song to ever exist. Never thought a cover of an already incredibly beautiful song could be even better but here we are. Every time I come back to this song, I am filled with a heavenly bliss that feels like an out-of-body experience. The vocals and instrumental intertwine to make a song I will forever hold near and dear to my heart, for it means a lot to me and has stuck with me for years. I will never forget this song
Even if this isn't an official track on the tracklist, it feels like the natural conclusion to the entire Hawaii Part II album. It gives a hopeful feeling of finality. Two voices are singing now, and though a friendless tide has found the protagonist, he returns to his beloved in the next life. Together, once again, never letting go. In a sense, getting to see her again was the protagonist's candle on the water; the last light in the dark, cold sea that he drowns in.
To everyone wondering why this song seems more hidden and isn't on Hawaii Part II, this song wasn't made with the rest of Miracle Musical and is a tribute song to two Tally Hall fans, Diem Brown and Trevelyn Grace Campbell. They died in a car accident soon after Hawaii Part II, and so this was created to honor them.
I feel like if this were in the proper album, it would take place between Time Machine and Stranded Lullaby. What Simon believes to be the ghost of his girlfriend is offering to guide him back home, reassuring him that things will be alright. However, this is merely a mirage, and Simon ends up more lost than he originally was.
Oddly enough, even though this is a cover of a Disney song, given the most often accepted interpretation of this album, at least as far as I'm aware - that being of a man who moves to Hawaii, falls in love with a girl, is framed for her murder, pleads insanity and then travels back in time before dying at sea - this feels like a fittingly bittersweet ending. I just imagine the protagonist and his love on a beach at dusk, his head in her lap as she sings to him as they finally come together again, even if it is in death.
Interesting interpretation with the physical time travel, I always thought the man (Simon, afaik) undergoes electric shock therapy because they try to treat him for his insanity, but because he wasn’t insane to begin with, it makes him insane, and that Time Machine is more of a metaphor where he’s looking back on his mistakes 🤔 But still, absolutely agree with that stunning image
@@phantompig my interpretation is that after he becomes insane he escapes he goes to the ocean and comits suicide (my interpretation of the first part of variations on a cloud) and then reunites with his love (my interpretation of the second part)
I don't imagine him going back in time as much as he's wishing he could go back and fix things. He travels out to sea in a deluded attempt to find his love and winds up starving to death as he finds nothing and hallucinates a happy reunion before having a moment of clarity as he slips away.
For the ppl who say "Why it isnt in the album" or "I think it goes after dream sweet in sea major". GUYS IT A DAMN COVER AS A TRIBUTE TO TWO TALLY HALL FANS WHO DIED IN A CAR ACCIDENT, IT SHOULDNT EVEN BE IN THE ALBUM OF HAWAIIPTII 😭😭
The original song meant so much to me when I was a kid. I would listen to it while I fell asleep without truly understanding the lyrics, but now that I'm older and struggling with a lot of things (and a chronic Tally Hall fan), the song is so much more important to me. It almost feels as if it evolved with me lol, even if this isnt the original version.

Like this song is a way of breaking the time loop in some fashion? I know it's a tribute song and probably has no connection to the album like Variations On A Cloud, but some of the lyrics just paint the picture of someone surviving some nasty tidal waves and are given a second chance at life.
@I Can't Think of a Name it's definitely got something to do with the VoaC music video because comments were re-enabled upon it being taken down recently
This song feels like an opposite to Stranded Lullaby to me. I view this as an alternate ending. This is the ending to the interpretation of HW:II in which the protagonist is framed for the murder of the love of his life. While he’s adrift at sea, about to die from exhaustion, he hears his love calling to him. He sees a lighthouse so tall that it extends to the heavens. Bathed in heavenly light, and there waiting for him is his love who calls out for him to join her. That’s what this song is to me
I think it fits perfectly right after Stranded Lullaby. As he's drowning in the sea, he hears her voice, giving him the resolve to climb to the top, all the way up to Space Station Level 7 where she's waiting for him. The siren who "makes it right" in Dream Sweet in Sea Major makes this a perfect transition song
Discovering a new musican or band is a fun journey going through their albums and finding which songs you like and obviously the weaker songs you don't like, but Tally Hall/Mirical Musical makes the journey of discovery harder but more rewarding and on top of that almost every single song is an absolutely amazing song!
@@lfroujibetmusicI was trying to think of how the story would make sense with this as an alternative ending, and that works well, but it doesn't explain why there was a trial and what happens in murders
@@Shaeffen_ The Trial didn't actually happen, the Mind Electric is about the protagonist's brain torturing him as he wrestles with the despair of the breakup that happened in murders, in which the murder is more metaphorical for their relationship dying as they discovered what they thought they had in White Ball was unattainable as real human beings on vacation. In this interpretation, "Space Station Level 7" is about denial and hope for a future that isn't based in anything, the "Garden of Imagination" aka delusion expanding to cover over the pain of loss, which turns on the protagonist in Mind Electric, Labyrinth, and Time Machine. I think in the good ending then, he comes to terms with his own shortcomings and gains the closure he was longing for it Stranded Lullaby and is thus able to come back to her fully, her being the candle on the water that leads him back to shore now that he is ready to be with her fully as she is, not as he perceived her to be.

Musical miracle does have Joe Hawley (guy with red tie) in it, which he was also in tally hall. But I wouldn’t consider it straight from tally hall or close to it that is. Musical miracle has a type of story that’s going on. Which, Tallyhall had stories for separate songs. These two aren’t exactly the same in anyway besides for having Joe Hawley in it.
I find it so hard to describe what I feel when I listen to it but, one thing I'm sure is clear to me. I always listen to this song again when I can, every time I feel like I can't make it or every time I'm about to give up I come back here and remind myself that I have to keep fighting and I will. Thank you miracle musical, thank you tally hall, thank you most of all to YOU Joe hawley, some of your songs remind me that I never have to give up and that keeps me going, follow my path and never give up to anything or anyone. I am grateful every day of my life for having known this work of art and I will never forget it 💖

This song totally just started existing, right? Someone better give me the backstory to how so many people had no idea this existed.
Edit: 2:05 has such great chord progression. Damn.
the song was created 12 years ago but 8 years ago they sang it with her voice. This is the original th-cam.com/video/VGbsrrkZm1s/w-d-xo.htmlsi=BI5MhQ7heotADLLG
Truly a beautiful song
I agree wholeheartedly

damn I've been listing it for like almost a year and I bearly just found out about this song lol
How did I fucking NEVER KNOW THIS EXISTED!?
If this song was in the album, it would be between Stranded Lullaby and DSISM
i think it will be at the end imo, meaning Simon and Stella meet again in heaven and being happy the rest of eternity with each other
@@El_C_papu_Kabuthats actually what im doing for my variashup of Hawaii: Part II
Wow I didn’t even know this exist, it sounds nice.
Even though it’s random it’s nice to see this getting recommend to people and it’s getting recognition. It’s a nice song
yes
words cannot describe how much I adore this song it's so marvelous
HOW DID I NOT KNOW ABOUT THIS
I love Pete’s dragon. I didn’t know one of my favorite music creators made covers of it 😭
With the comments open, all I wanna say is this song is the most beautiful song I've ever heard. It feels like the ending of a love story between two people. I wish this was recognized by even more people.
AH. SO I WAS JUST SUPPOSED TO FIND OUT ABOUT THISOK
Man, I wish candles were real...
more miracle musical other than the demos and voac? yes please!
Gosh, the way I teared up when I learned this is a tribute. May Trevelyn Campbell and Diem Brown rest in peace.
Now to make a time machine and get more songs

Same I just found out about this after reading a comment and I was so confused
The good ending
I'm going to fucking cry there's a happy ending
So many years passed and I'm still discovering "tally hall" songs. I know this one isn't directly from tally hall, but close enough
@@starz_stew I think youre leaving out the fact that every other Tally Hall member (except Andrew) was involved in Miracle Musical, even Bora
The algorithm finally recommended this song to people.
The tragedy of most real art is that we don't recognize what it is until it's already gone. Van Gogh for example
I am grateful every day of my life for having known this work of art and I will never forget it 💖
Love from a kindred spirit! Another human who loves that you stick around!
Finding miracle musical songs like finding beautiful rocks at the beach
I'll still listen to this song even at 2024
so did we all just discover this??
Well I discovered it in 1977…
Isn’t it weird how we all just recently found out about this like hello? Wtf I’m a huge fan of both miracle music and tally hall yet never seen this ever

Amen
I love you everyone in here

I was today years old when I learned this was a cover not the original
Rest in Piece, Trevelyn and Diem.
I mean this respectfully, who are they?
@@meepbeep2464If I recall correctly they’re either people who helped Joe make Hawaii Part II or just really big fans, they ended up dying in a car accident and this song is in their memory.
i join the sea of people having just found this. the algorithm is wild
This is the best Disney cover I have ever heard. I always loved this song.
Huh why did I just discover this
Probably you are either very young or don’t spend too much time looking for good music.
No puedo creer todo el tiempo que perdí sin escuchar esta canción
cuando conociste miracle musical?
This feels like it's connected to hawaii part ii.
ikr, it feels like an actual ending
Post DSISM?
@@Thestuffdoeron my alt account now but yes. Or maybe even at the same time
It’s actually a tribute song to two tally hall/miracle musical fans who died in a car wreck so the song was made as a memoriam
@@Claireina_ballerina oh geez….
I thought I knew about every song in the Tally Hall universe until now, looks like its happening to everyone else in the comments too
Words can't describe how much i love this version of the song.
I hope more people get to experience miracle musical in the future.
"why are comments so new" for some reason its sorted by newest first not top comments
WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FOR ME TO FIND OUT ABOUT THIS
very beautiful song. rest in piece to those who died - i’m sure they’d love this.
no, this song is not new. while i can't tell you why everyone is now just finding this, i can assure you it wasn't just recently made or re-listed. (i have heard it before, not on this channel, but on soundcloud/ in playlists)
I don’t know if you’re saying you’ve heard a similar song before or this exact one, but if you’ve heard a similar song, it’s probably the original. This is a cover and the original is from “Pete’s Dragon” and has the same name.
Es gracioso y triste pensar que esta canción ya lleva 10 años con nosotros.... Jajaja, nos estamos haciendo viejos.....
