I love how articulate you are. Tired of the over the top girls who squeal at every little thing. You are professional and give your viewers tons of useful info. Keep it up!
Your channel is a breath of fresh air! I get tired of the work journals that are just social media calendars. I am an Agile Delivery Lead and so much of what you do is exactly what I need. Thanks!
Thanks Amy! I struggled with the same thing-finding videos to apply to my 9-5 job-so while many may find my BuJo boring, I hoped others would find it helpful and share their own pearls of wisdom as well. Good luck with your Agile projects and thanks again for watching! 😊
Phenomenal thank you for sharing, I started my first week as a product owner and I need all of this. Thank you. I am headed shopping now to get my notebooks.
So I purchased everything and made all the layout. Omg! Amazing I am receiving complements at my job. Everything makes sense and excellent way to organize alot of information. Do you add your user stories to your bullet journal. I am just learning how to write them. I can't believe how much information I captured thus week. Omg the highlighter is a god sent. Please make more agile planning videos. Thank you for your kindness for sharing this invaluable information.
lexuscarrington Congratulations! I'm so glad this system is working out for you. I don't track stories in my BuJo--we have a software tool for that--however if there are change control tickets tracked on another team's board, I keep a list for those so I can easily look them up if needed. As for writing the stories, just remember this format: "As a {target user}, I want to {explain system task} so I can {beneficial outcome}." E.g. "As a banking customer, I want to schedule payments so I can electronically pay my creditors on time." Agile is all about simplicity and helping the business customer verbalize in 'layman terms' what they want the system to do. This then is the starting point of a more in depth conversation to break the user story down into detailed requirements. And don't forget the acceptance criteria! These are the conditions (also written in 'layman terms') that need to be met to satisfy the user story. So in this case: The schedule date must be a valid future date. The correct creditor receives the payment. The correct amount is sent to the creditor. Etc. HTH and thanks for the update--this made my day! 😊
Love your videos. I've got the same problem with minutes and calendar spreads plus project tracking. This is why I stick to a Filofax for my schedule. I love the flexibility of being able to move pages around and don't need an index. Plus I can have 3 months in it at a time and add or remove as necessary. Then I have a bullet for project tracking and minutes. Any important tasks get transferred to the date they're needed or that day and get migrated from the Bujo using migrate icon. It's working on so far
Awe, thanks! 😊 And yes, I miss that about ring binders but I’m loving travelers notebooks and bound books more right now! I quickly realized a large book was too much so I broke it out into separate books: one for my schedule (calls, daily tasks/notes) and the other for project info and meeting minutes and that’s definitely worked out better! My projects span months, sometimes years so I can always refer back in my schedule and I’m using the Moleskine booklets for meeting minutes and can swap them out more quickly every couple of months. I just moved on to a new project and am tweaking my system again because the project logistics have changed: previously I had several different, unrelated projects, each with one dedicated team and now I have one huge project comprised of several components, external dependencies, and multiple scrum teams-now you know why I’m always on the looking out for new tips and tricks! 🤦♀️ Thanks again for watching and sharing!
Awe, Angie, you’re very sweet! 😊 I also miss y’all and posting videos but, like many others, I’ve had a few setbacks this year; looking forward to a better 2021. Hope you’re well, stay safe, and check back again next year. 💕
Hi Gabriela! Check out my 'Work Bullet Journal Update' video (linked in the cards and posted at the end of last month) where I did a complete walk-thru of my index, layouts, and weekly/daily spreads as well as the tips, tools, and techniques I use for work. The video was filmed slightly blurred to protect company information but you can see enough of the layouts which, combined with a more detailed explanation, should give you the info you need. HTH!
Hi Crystal! My master task list is more of an 'inbox' for important tasks since I don't have anywhere else to put it in my bullet journal. For example, there were some tasks that came up during software development that weren't due until after development ended--in preparation for 'go-live'--so I put them on the master task list so I wouldn't forget and I scan the list every week and month when I prepare the next layout looking for any tasks that are due yet. HTH and thanks for watching!
Hi Kristine! For many of the layouts I didn't show, it was because they were either simple, boring checklists with a title on top (like the Communications Log, the person's name is the title) or a dated, running lists (like the Project Updates so you when it happened). I'm all about simplicity! 😉 Just in case others aren't aware, I'll add an explanation for all 10 layouts to the description of this video--thanks for the question! 👍

Really helpful. Thanks
You’re welcome and thanks for watching!
Loooooooove your videos!
Awe, thanks Kathleen! 😊
Do you have a description in detail of each layout in another video? This is great information. Thank you!

Another great, inspiring video! QQ..Is your Master Task List the same as your reoccurring tasks that you have on stickies?
Hi Crystal! My master task list is more of an 'inbox' for important tasks since I don't have anywhere else to put it in my bullet journal. love your videos! :-)
Thank you! 😊 (Btw, cute name!)
I love the idea behind the communication log and the major project updates but can't imagine how the format would look like. Any suggestions?
Hi Kristine! For many of the layouts I didn't show, it was because they were either simple, boring checklists with a title on top (like the Communications Log, the person's name is the title) or a dated, running lists (like the Project Updates so you when it happened). Planner nerd Alert! I was thinking “how brilliant” as soon as you started counting!
Thanks Patty! Only my fellow plannernerds would understand. 😂
