Thank you for the question! Yes, students always want to know how much to write. I have given basic recommendations in the video as to the minimum amount for these questions. However, it depends on the student - some students can write really concisely and score marks with writing less than others. As for writing more, there is no direct correlation between length and quality of answers. I have marked many papers where students write pages and pages in their answers but score very few marks, as they are not focussed on the question or don't write in the context of the case study. "Quality not quantity!"
I don't know why but in my school, the teacher taught us to list 4 advantages for each of the paragragh and this is way too much for us. So I'm a bit confused on part B

Thank you! Great question. Cambridge applies the principle of positive marking, so marks will not be deducted for irrelevant details. Examiners will award marks wherever candidates fulfil the marking criteria.

The question ask us to say "Evaluate two factors that will influence the success of a large business’s first attempt at international marketing" , specifically, in here we can't follow the structure which 2 Good vs 2 Bad so what would be the most optimal structure for this type of question where it dont ask us to discuss or "compare"? @@ThankBao bruv if its to evaluate its not necessarily goods and bad you just have to take two points let's say competitors and culture. Then just talk about how these two affect the business when entering into the international market. Then talk about how important it is to do some research on the culture and how important it is to have a thorough analysis of the competition in the market to identify the strengths and weaknesses of their competitors

Good question, in paper 1 the no of points and chains of analysis required for full marks is not specified. From the exemplars I would go with 3 points each followed by fully developed chains of analysis.
The video helped a lot, however, i wanted to ask that can we be awarded if we give points that are not present in the marking scheme but make sense and are structured with chain of analysis?
Great question! It's really up to the examiners discretion, however, Cambridge do a good job of figuring out all the possible answers, so in my experience it's rare to credit an answer which is not already on the mark scheme.

Sorry to hear about that, don't stress! If you do all three questions on Section B of paper 1 the examiner will mark all three questions and award you with the essay with the highest score. As with all exams when paper 1 is done forget about it and focus on paper 2. Good luck!

Some students also like to define the keywords they use. You have more time in paper 1, so this may be possible. There is nothing which explicitly says you must define all keywords. The examiner will be able to award marks for knowledge and understanding from your detailed explanation of the key terms and concepts while answering the question.

Hi, I have a question, when the question says to analyse the benefits or the limitations of motivating its employees, so in the knowledge part should we state only one knowledge or multiple. if we state only one point we'd have to continue telling that, for the rest of the paragraphs; and if we do multiple it'd be a quite hassle to manage those points, and further analyse them. Sir, i have a question A question asking me to define a term and give two advantages If the term's definition is wrong but the two advantages I wrote fit the answer, will I take marks on it? Hope u understood my question:)
Which question and which paper? There is no negative marking on Cambridge exams so if you get the definition wrong you won't be deducted marks. It will then be up to the examiner to assess the rest of your answer.
I’ll be giving my a level business exam this oct/nov since I didn’t go for may/june. I’m scared they’ll fail me. As far as I am aware, AS and A2 are treated as different components so you should just be able to repeat A2 (paper 3) if required. Please check this with your exams officer at school or Cambridge directly as I'm not responsible for resits etc. Hang in there! Paper 3 is really tough and everyone finds it challenging. there are lots of different ways of answering questions, I try to give the most efficient and effective way to score full marks.

@@EdsEssentials no I mean how many reasons(that is paragraphs) should i approximately include in 12 marks and 20 marks questions... like for e.g. Caie examiners report that for 8 mks questions 2 paragraphs/reasons are enough but how many for 20marks question

A question asking me to define a term and give two advantages
If the term's definition is wrong but the two advantages I wrote fit the answer, will I take marks on it?

Which question and which paper? There is no negative marking on Cambridge exams so if you get the definition wrong you won't be deducted marks. It will then be up to the examiner to assess the rest of your answer.

I’ll be giving my a level business exam this oct/nov since I didn’t go for may/june. I’m scared they’ll fail me.
I’m really confused since this is new for me, So I wanted to ask if I fail my paper 3 but pass my paper 1 and 2 this oct/nov, Will the result of P1 and P2 still be valid till next may/june so I just have to give my p3? I hope I’m not confusing 😣
As far as I am aware, AS and A2 are treated as different components so you should just be able to repeat A2 (paper 3) if required. Please check this with your exams officer at school or Cambridge directly as I'm not responsible for resits etc.
