Best joke was when Sandy was putting fear in the boys and threaten to take them to Julie Coopers house “nothing like putting the fear of Julie Cooper in children’s everywhere” 😂😂

Josh Schwartz is an amazing TV writer and producer. I especially liked his work on Gossip Girl and The OC. To me, Josh Schwartz's way of writing and producing TV shows reminds me very much of David E. Kelley.

Seasons 1 and 2 were really good, but then they changed it too much. The characters they had in season one is what brought viewers into the show. One thing I will never understand is they wrote Seth Cohen as pining away for and in love with Summer for years, since grade school. Then as soon as they get together, they bring in the Anna character and Seth dumps Summer. I didn't buy that and didn't think it was believable. Another good pairing was Julie and Caleb, the 'gruesome twosome". Then they killed Caleb off too soon. Those two were so fun to watch together, why ruin it? I also loved the character of Hailey, Kirsten's sister, but then they wrote that character off after a short time. And lastly, Ryan and Marissa, another good pairing that I'm sure they knew fans wanted to see together but they kept breaking them apart. I didn't watch the show after season 2 because they changed it too much. Will never understand some of the writing decisions.

I agree. My biggest issue is all the drama that kept coming. In the beginning; yes there was drama, but the pace and all was quite easy going. They didnt really need to do much for me, just having a simple life and exploring was enough. But then drugs, and driving, and fights, and shots, and divorces, and make-up, and other stuff. And it just became too much craziness later on. I liked it when it was just quite simple.

I read that the network wanted more drama for season 3. That's why it didn't feel like the OC and Marissa had a storyline full of tragedies

Biggest crime of The OC was Ryan’s hair season 2.

Instead of having them all sit next to each other side-by-side, its weird that there's like people sitting in the back.
