HI, I'm 180 miles from Duluth in U.P. of Michigan, yesterday was all cloudy & cold here, so did not see the eclipse, so enjoyed videos like this instead!!!😊😊😊😊
I live within the path of totality, and it was honestly one of the coolest things I've ever experienced in my entire 62 yrs. It was a clear sunny sky and at full eclipse it got dark enough that all the streetlights and solar lights came on, all the birds shut up and the temp dropped at least 5 degrees for around 2 minutes. Very moving. But hey, this video of the Century is pretty cool too. 😁😂
Awesome! I was disappointed our weather was what it was. If it was clear, when the ship came in, it would have been 75 percent covered and in the left view of the ship passing under the bridge.
Oh you really couldn t enjoy the solar eclipse but anyway we heard a nice salute. I remember also a total solar eclipse in the 90s here in Germany for 3 minutes all was night and the lights went on
I'm sorry you couldn't enjoy the eclipse there but you had that great ship! Here on the eastern end of Lake Ontario, the eclipse was awesome. Yes, it got cold temporarily. I live in a very rural area and my neighbor a mile away shot off fireworks just at totality! What a sight!
True, it was really difficult to see the loss of light here, I think we were approximately 75% coverage, I heard to really see the dimming effect, it needs to be in the 90% range, helps if its not heavy cloud cover either..
We had clear skies for 80% eclipse in N Mich. Could barely notice a dimming of light. You have to be close to zone of totality to really notice any darkness. Agree media overhyped it only because zone of totality covered so many populated areas (ie money-making opportunities) this time around.
It was a sunny day here near Charlotte and for a couple of minutes it looked like a cloudy day, light wise. I wasn’t impressed and didn’t even see anything the least bit apocalyptic.
Even on a wet miserable day the American Century brighten the onlookers' day with her arrival and great salute...⚓📣😊
I really liked their beginning turn while quite a ways in the Canal! Brought their stern closer to the wall.
No matter how bad the weather people show up to see and welcome those big beautiful ships.
I do feel more people were present than usual due to the eclipse happening.

Wonderful! Thanks!
Horrible day. Today is beautiful!
It really is !
What you have offered up is much better than any media coverage I saw.
Nice! Great to hear!

I enjoy watching your videos. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you, nice to hear that 😊
It's always that dark so far up north.
Lol, well played.!

We could not enjoy it at all. I did figure it would get a wee bit darker being in the 75% zone.
That view looks like it’s not going to clear the bridge. Remembering Baltimore I guess.
At that perspective, it does look like an impending catastrophe 😁

Excellent, I will admit with all the hype in the news. I was very anticlimactic in Duluth.
Here in Delaware too.
Yes a lot of hype! Must've been cool under the moon shadow at 100 miles wide.
I bet it was!
Really pretty piece. Here in Nevada we had clear weather but didn’t notice much loss of sunshine. Too far west I suppose.

The media, as well as this medium, really relies on click bait now. Unfortunately. They seem to push the sensationalized out a lot more.
hey Paul, whats wrong with the PRT she's still sleeping and it's go time.
Still having some major repairs done. My uneducated guess is 1-2 weeks
So we shouldn't look directly at the boat, is that it?
Not without proper eye protection! 🤣

LOL, the conspirators were out in full force on this one!
