I ordered my Dasaita for my 9th Gen Accord last week. I can’t wait to install mine! I’m even looking into upgrading the amp and subwoofer. I figure if I’m upgrading the head unit I can’t stop there lol. I love the way these Android stereos look as if they came with the vehicle. I used to install head units back in the day without harnesses. These Androids coming with harnesses is a god send. Appreciate the videos bro. Keep it up. I guarantee you if it wasn’t for you I probably wouldn’t have pulled the trigger on the Dasaita or any Android unit for that matter. I would’ve probably got another Pioneer or Kenwood or Sony.

I couldn't find much material on the Camry XLE which has the JBL radio. For anyone who having questions about JBL, make sure your Android comes with CANBUS built in or on the harness. If not you will have no audio because the factory amp will not power on. I spent many many hours trying to figure out my install, turns out the China Android was just too cheap to include the CANBUS with the harness.

You might be able to reinstall the 2 metal mounting side plates- my unit had 2 holes that lined up with the plates and 2 more holes that lined up in the middle of huge cutouts in the side plates- had to use fender washers there. If you have the JBL amp, they sell an adapter that sends a data signal to turn on the amp when the radio is on, if it senses power is on, the adapter generates the data code signal needed to turn on the JBL amp. Unfortunately, having the JBL amp and the new radio doesn't allow for front/back volume adjustment, so I chose to have the amp connected to the front left/right speakers and then wired the back left/ right speakers directly to the radio back left/right connections to allow front/back volume adjustment.

Want to tell you - you make it look SO easy - but all those plug ins and the linking the steering wheel to the panel when past me. This is one I will need to rewatch for sure! My son told me this was possible and here we are. This is reliant on our cell phone, so to use we would need it with us always? Is there any that also have a CD player with it or how would I upload my CD's to play in my car? All the other cords, how would someone unskilled like me make use of them? @@wt5390 Hey WT. I got the same radio, and it came with the proper Jbl canbus but when I hook it up I still had no audio. The person I got it from said I have to connect the pink wire that is on the canbus to the car amp. Do you happen to know what he’s talking about? I’m so confused. Lol!

If I remember correctly, the harness can be completely installed without the canbus (which is what I did first). The I purchased the canbus and plug it in and I got audio. The only other thing I would suggest is look at the radio manual and make sure all the pins are in the right place. Freaking China quality control. @@tobeyfabila5082 I found the old harness. The canbus connector has 5 wires. 4 cluster together (positive, negative, left output, right output) and 1 wire towards the middle by itself (remote). I assuming they're telling you to make that wire connected to the remote, sometimes called amp or power antenna (usually blue not pink though), that will power on the canbus. That's my best guess. I installed a joying head unit in my Camry 09 le back in 2016. It has pre installed GPS that gives maps without the need for wifi。 Everything looks cool and still working today. Similar installing procedure.
Thanks to your great video, I just installed a new unit bought from Amazon on my 2009 Camry. Everything is fine except one major issue: The radio stops working once CarPlay voice comes up. I could go to radio screen and select another channel to get radio sound back but it stops again when CarPlay voice comes. Anybody is aware of this problem and has a fix?

I ordered one, but it registers the volume up and down as a single button, and it does not work after connecting.
Same with the forward and backward.

No it doesn’t but you can add on when buying online. It’s less than $10 for a cheap one from idoing. Display comes with cable ready.

I installed a joying head unit in my Camry 09 le back in 2016. It has pre installed GPS that gives maps without the need for wifi。 Everything looks cool and still working today. Similar installing procedure.

Thanks to your great video, I just installed a new unit bought from Amazon on my 2009 Camry. Everything is fine except one major issue: The radio stops working once CarPlay voice comes up. I could go to radio screen and select another channel to get radio sound back but it stops again when CarPlay voice comes. Anybody is aware of this problem and has a fix?

Hey so I just ordered it and the JBL one is if you have the Camry with a touch screen that comes with the JBL system instead of the stock stereo system from Toyota.

These units are very glitchy. Within the first month I've had to reset many times due to constant crashes and now nothing on it works.
