I'm a big fan of The Hu. These guys have been to uni to get degrees in Mongolian classical music. They were already Mongolian cultural treasures BEFORE they decided to go mad and invent Mongolian Metal. And you should have looked at the video with the lyrics. Basically, it's about how The Hu ( the people of the Great Khan) will fight you until you die a horrible death. No retreat, no surrender. You want a fight to the death? Well come and get it! Jaya's actually a highly awarded conservatory flute professor when he's not doing the Hu gig. So yeah, they're seriously professional instruments. Though they didn't quite invent Mongol metal, either, check out Tengger Cavalry and Nine Treasures. But the Hu are the best!

The Hu is a Mongolian band. The way they sing and the sound they make is called "throat singing". Its Mongolian traditional music and chants, but when u add little bit of rock sound it becomes rock lol. I have heard people tell me that Mongolian throat singing sound like some folk rock song wayy before they heard the HU. The instruments in use here are traditional Mongolian instruments. The Horse-head fiddle is the only musical instruments ever awarded World Heritage status as a Cultural Icon. It is called a Mohin Khuur. There is a bass version called an Ihk Khuur. The guitar like instrument is a long necked 3 string lute called a Tovshuur. All members of the band hold Master of Music degrees. There are four fulltime members in the band, and four part time members. The 'bikers' are actually a choir. HU is Mongolian for 'HUman'. They are Covid stranded in Sydney, Australia atm. Very nice people.

It looks like they are about to start or just started a tour in the US. They will be doing a concert in my city in October and I might try and go see them in concert when they are here.
They sound even better live. All 4frontmen can throatsing. Worked concerts for a few years doing security, and The Hu surpassed Metallica and Elton John when I saw them in Boston - although I suspect Nightwish next Oct might be the new peak. The Great Chinggas Khan might be a great next step... then Yuve Yuve Yu. Have yet to hear a bad song from them, the whole Gereg record is tremendous so really pick anything.

They are from Mongolia and all are schooled highly in music. I The man with the long hair is still teaching at the school. They call their mucic Hunnu rock. The word Hu comes from their word for Human. They are Their instrument are build on old traditional style with some small changes. The stings are from horses. If you check out some of there other videos you can hear them make the sound of horses. They have a album out that's called Gereg. That was what the great Gingiis Kahn called the diplomatic pass that he gave a messenger so that he easy could pass over one border to the next country that now Kahn ruled. Their are videos with English text to all there songs. My body is broken I walk with two crutches. But twice I traveled back and forth almost 900 km to see them. They will be my last conserts, but I listen to them every morning, noon and evening. I know they are working on new music, can't wait😎👍🎼

I recommend checking out the version they did with Jacoby Shaddix from Papa Roach. It has a slightly more modern feel and sound. The very first time I heard this song I felt the urge to invade my neighbors home and pillage their fridge.
