One of the few live performances where his voice sounds very close to the album verion imo.
Wish there are more live recordings with his voice this good.
i think its because since its a smaller stage he can monitor himself better, when its a bigger stage theres so much noise going on its hard to hear yourself, monitoring yourself its a huge part of being able to sing at full potential, just go sing karaoke, experiment singing along in different volumes and see the difference.

And THAT is why I think Corey Taylor is the BEST METAL VOCALIST OF ALL TIME! This show was in the middle of an 80 date worled tour and he had to do that 20 times a night for every song andyou can tell he's making sure his vocals are extra perfect for the fans watching this. You are the fuckin man Corey!
The sound engineer deserves an award for this, the levels are fucking perfect

This honestly might be one of their best performances ever.
You don't really have to like them, but the fact that they've stayed relevant and headlined festivals for the past 10-15 years is impressive...it's VERY hard to not acknowledge that. People can say whatever the hell they want about this band, but the bottom line is they are where you WISH you could be....I know I do. I'm not as big into them as I was when they hit in '99. I was still in high school, they were un-FUCKING-real. I will ALWAYS respect this band, because they earned their stripes...they deserve every bit of what they have now.
Something you sadly wont ever see again on late night talk shows hell not even awards or mtv either... a metal band, sad but true

Small stage for Slipknot? They opened the second stage on Ozzfest '99, and played primarily small clubs until Iowa dropped. Aside from big festivals. Not to mention that they headlined the second stage on Ozzfest in support for Subliminal Verses.

Self-titled is best musically, Iowa had the best masks and jumpsuits, Vol. 3 was worst album they made (to me, that wasn't the Slipknot I knew for two of the greatest records I've ever heard), All Hope Is Gone was a far better record then Vol. 3, and .5: TGC is there best since Iowa.
