Bloody awesome. I love this. Before the episode even got going properly, I clicked LIKE. My favourite Anime franchise ever. Though in 80s South Africa we didn't know better, so it was just always called Robotech. I learned about this and loved it before I even knew Transformers
In fact, Robotech was about three different anime : Macross, Southern Cross and Mospeada. People from Harmony Gold made small changes to the story in order to make the three licences go well together. They created terms like Protoculture and they said Diana was Rick Hunter's daughter in Southern Cross. For Mospeada, they pretended that Rick Hunter was now the great leader of human forces that went back from Mars.
I appreciate the time, effort, and commentary you put into your review so much! It helped me make the decision to buy them! I just received mine and it was so worth it! Bending the backpack flap on both Max and Mila, and bending the cockpit area to reveal the head was super tight and scary! Was the little hook on the backpack on Milia reversed for you? Mine was, but luckily it can just be removed and flipped around no problem. Thanks again!
This design is very old now. I used to collect all macros toys when they were made by Yamato, who later became Arcadia. They did not improve a lot of things on design since 2006. What is really disturbing is that the price of these "KO" is the price we had to pay for original stuff 15 years ago. Nowadays, Arcadia product cost about 300 and they are really becoming too expensive. My favorite one was the low visibility 1/48 VF 1/A.
Tbh nothing could do with design, it's already perfect even Bandai dx chogokin vf-1 not different except have awesome paint job, decal. And double joint on arms.
the names you mentioned Ben are from Robotech... the real names of them are Maximilian Jenius and Miriya Farina Jenius... just information for you Ben... even Macross has KO?! this version of the valkyries are the ones they both used after getting married, and during the massive battle against bodolzas fleet in the series...
I'm a Destroid lover so I got those way back when they were under the brand Yamato, now I want to try out the Valkyries, but the price Arcadia asks for is just too much... these KO seem to be a nice alternative. Can't wait to get one and compare the quality to my Yamato Destroids.
I wish there were KOs of the Hi-Metal Valkyries, I love Macross designs but I just don't have the space to display these bigger figures even if I could afford them.
I never had one of these as a kid, and I always wanted one more than any other toy, but were EXTREMELY rare in Italy at the time, in fact only one kid had it in the entire school! 😅 I actually still want one, how much do they sell for these days? I'll be happy with just one by the way, possibly the grey one with the ☠️ logo on it, can't remember it's name or the one of the kid who piloted. I'd also wouldn't mind having the two legged Zentradi mecha as well to be completely honest.
I bought the blue. Its very fragile. Basically to me its a pre built model. Transformation is a pain. Yeah i broke mine in the same spot. Glue fixed it.
I really want an ko company to bootleg figures from the bot con or subscription service with good quality like the acp Optimus , mostly because not many people had extra money for the service and not everyone could have went to bot con I know an couple exist like the chms punch counter punch and an few sideswipe lads but I want charaters like slipstream that used the first edition starscream mold, animated stunticons, shattered glass stuff such as treadshot and so on
The gerwalk mode will look much better if you can lower the shoulder and swing the wing forward. For. example: i.pinimg.com/originals/09/d0/c4/09d0c443006ffe407b67c1fc6840d6f6.jpg
Robotech wasn't really diluted. Sure, it's been adapted to American tastes but the story mostly is the same with Macross, except for the shoehorning the overarching lore to forcefully combine three unrelated Japanese anime series into one. The show and the novels (now deemed 'not canon') really helped to improve my English in my youth. For many, Robotech is the first "serious" anime experience in the 80s. Before that I only thought Japanese anime as mostly giant robots with monster-of-the-week stories.
The box art is amazing!
who made the KO or when can you get it? Thanks

I have the Roy Fokker version and love it

Where did you get yours? I’d like to pick them up but I don’t know where I can order them from

How much this Price ??🤔🙏👍👍👍

Differences between this and the old Roy Fokker vf-1s full painted? And there are some diecast parts?

You got them.. I remember mentioning about them last year to you :D
I have the Yamato blue/max version and this KO looks as good as the Yamato one
Where i buy this?
What I really like is that Miriya's VF is a brighter red then Arcadia has released.
Max and Miriya Approve! How do these scale with 1/72 sizes?
Where did you got those,please?
Wow. What do these go for?
I wish there were KOs of the Hi-Metal Valkyries, I love Macross designs but I just don't have the space to display these bigger figures even if I could afford them.
damn, this thing looks really good, how durable are these figures btw?
Where you get those?
I don't even know who they are ...but love the figures
The small struts the legs are mounted on freak me out. Anything feel especially fragile?
i have their earlier VF-1S. The hip joint is a nice solid metal. Doesn't feel like it can be broken without a good amount of effort.

where can i buy this figures?
ShowZstore and ohmyprimus had them in last time I checked

These need to be recolered into G1 toy Jetfire (with blocky headsculpt!!!)
Hell no.

It cost 140€ shipped and already sold out on showzstore and nothing on the other site ohmyprimus.
they remind me of the twins from animated
Where do you buy these from?
All good KO retailers sell them , ShowZstore , ohmyprimus, tfdirect
Why is it that even the KO companies produce the "Rick Hunter" Valkyrie in such low numbers!
They put the DYRL super part elbow armor pieces instead of the proper TV verison Super parts. KO fail.

No size comparison's, wth?
As with most of Ben's "reviews", this sounded more like a commercial than a review, but whatever...
Sweet. finally KO these toys.
