I'm one of the volunteers who helps at the church in Imber. You're right it was incredibly busy, not even we expected the visitors we had. But people were happy to wait to visit the church, all the volunteers were exhausted by the end of what was for us a very long day. It was worth all the effort for the money raised for many good courses, Lord Peter Hendy is an amazing person and we have to thank him for his help in organising the day.
I am enjoying your channel today! Since I've never been to England, this is especially cool! In one of my teacher trainings, they told us that London cabbys have to learn "The Knowledge" which is all the streets and where everything is. Is that still true?
We still do the knowledge, I’ve probably forgotten more than I know. The knowledge isn’t every street, that would be impossible, but we do have to learn a huge chunk of London, that’s why it takes on average four years to do the knowledge
@@M1keWrites Hey thanks for the reply. I'll let all my colleagues know that the knowledge is still a real thing. Math trainers use it to talk about brain flexibility in humans when thinking about how anyone can be a "math person" not just the people who think they are math people. If cabbys can learn the streets than anyone can learn math they say.
I've always wanted to go to ImberBus and hopefully might be able to attend next year's one. It looks like a great day out although I have seen some pictures of the queues and they look absolutely massive

LOVELY VIDEO THAT CHURCH - IF WALLS COULD TALK. DOUBLE DECKER BUSES WERE WHAT I REMEMBER. LOOKED LIKE CHAOS FOR A BIT THERE. 5:25
There were so many people there. It was madness at one point.
Great Video Mike. I went to imber in 2019 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Il go again in a few years time. It was very nostalgic.
It’s a great day, my first time, very very busy, huge QQQQQQQ’s waiting for the buses.

Great video as always. Looks a great day out. Interesting military history chat at the end... imagine not building it further from the road ha ha 😂 😂
It still makes me chuckle to this day 30 odd years later.

The QQQQQQQ’s were mental. They didn’t expect that many people.
