    You went to get a devacut/haircut but were upset that... your hair was shorter?

    • @lovelyone1675
      @lovelyone1675 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes!!! I’ve stopped going there too because I was in the process of growing my hair and went in for a shaping. I explained that I was trying to grow my hair out. The cut looked good initially, but when I washed it, I noticed that several inches were missing. When my hair was wet before it reached mid back and after the cut, my hair was mid shoulder blade!!! Won’t get another deva cut--and that was the second time it happened. I just trim my own hair now.

    I noticed that the product she was using, was Deva curl.
    Devacurl had changed a lot of its ingredients and I guess the company had gotten greedy and started shortcutting but if you have a chance to look into some of the stories women who used diva curl back in the day to present, you will find that the majority of them canceled fever curl it really ruined their hair so if you can help it try not to go to places to get your haircut and washed by just anyone because you end up unhappy in the end just small advice for another sister

    • @tovaeashae
      @tovaeashae  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      When it’s dry, the curls looks different ofc. It’s always more juicy when wet so I just have to accept the dry look lol. I have a bunch of wash and go’s on my channel if u wanna see how I style my hair tho ❤️

    • @tovaeashae
      @tovaeashae  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      My number 1 tip is to wash your hair weekly, do hair treatments (deep conditioning masks) every time you wash your hair, and massage the scalp with hair growth oils after washing it.

      Jamaican black castor oil 😊 but it also makes your hair thicker (just so you’re aware)

    • @tovaeashae

      Just don’t use heat on ur hair anymore (no flat iron) and no perms.. start doing protective styles like braids and twist and allow ur hair to just grow ❤️❤️

      Also use hair growth oils and make sure you’re deep conditioning like every 2 weeks

    The difference between your wet hair and dry hair is called SHRINKAGE!! You didn't have to keep mentioning the length difference between the two lol

    • @tovaeashae
      @tovaeashae  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Umm .. I think everyone knows what shrinkage is. I make my videos as informative as possible because there’s some people who will still question the length.

    • @latoyasimmons3204

      @@tovaeashae If everyone knows what shrinkage is, I doubt they would question the length of your hair, especially since they know how shrinkage works...

      @tovaeashae  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I’ve been a natural hair blogger for a while now and I’ve gotten a lot of questions that you would be surprised about. I don’t think I need anyone telling me how to explain what’s going on in my videos. If anything, me stating that my hair is wet / dry is being more informative. I don’t see what’s wrong with being informative.

    • @latoyasimmons3204
      @latoyasimmons3204 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tovaeashae There isn't anything wrong with that. I didn't mean for you to take offense to my comment. I just thought you didn't know the term used to describe what you were explaining about your hair, that's all. All in all, I think your hair is beautiful and I think you're doing a good job at taking care of it, regardless of your setbacks.

    I hear washing your hair weekly takes away your natural oils and is bad for natural hair...

    • @tovaeashae
      @tovaeashae  4 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Not if you’re using the right shampoos and deep conditioning. Taking too long to wash your hair can cause product build up and inflammation of the roots.. the roots need to be cleansed to allow hair growth 🤗
