Man I love VF, been a huge fan of the series since I discovered VF1 at a movie theater lobby back in 1994 when I was 8. It’s my second favorite fighting game series of all time behind SF. Love the depth, the smooth fluid gameplay, and how dynamic it is. VF>Tekken anyday. We NEED a VF6. Come on Sega, this is the perfect time.
Australia has one of the Largest Virtua Fighter 5: FS scenes outside Japan on record, i know. Think the game is also quite big in; Holland, Germany and Sweden too, to some degree!
I'm not satisfied on what most companies are doing to their fighters. Sega should take a break on their other big titles, and focus on Virtua Fighter 6.
i miss the VF evo arcade. i remember the days i joined in a tournament in japan and went top 8 only.damn...you just can't miss a step and must be prepared from their fastest moves and side steps is so sick !!
Because the first 3 in the series were released in a dying console in the US (Saturn)...whereas other games like Tekken where on the super popular Playstation 1.
@@OsumiVF3tb I use to play VF5 on xbox360 online. They changed too many things in Final Showdown and it was difficult to find battles as not many people have it, my heart was not in it anymore as it took so long for me to learn to play-then they changed so many things.
@@OsumiVF3tb it's the unlearning that's the problem. So many times I be wondering whys that move not coming out? Oh they don't have it anymore. This game is hard enough as it is for me.
@@VTKC oh okay, yeah it was like that at first for me too. you get use to it eventually. yestarday i was playing vf5(which came out 14 years ago yestarday) and i had to make sure to stay away from the characters i play in FS so i don't catch bad habits lol.
I really tried to get into Street Fighter v, I did. I put over 400 matches into it and got into silver but the game just felt silly with all the super moves and fireballs. Gonna pick up VF5 again ;)
It suck that Sega is Sleeping on this Franchise....Id love to see a VF6 on next gen....Sega need to either sell the franchise or let Team Ninja build a new game from scratch

@@RonaldDorsinator The gameplay is different. Yes I know all about Akira's game play in DOA. It's NOT the same as VF. Because the mechanics are different. Some of the same moves.......but you can have similar looking moves in all games, that's not what makes the mechanics....it's how they interconnect....it's what a sidestep does.......it's how many frames it takes to do a spin kick........it's about a whoooooooole lot of factors.
I'm sure it will as a side tournament, just as it was in 2018. Although, if you're interested in other VF events, be sure to check out the Events section and forum on virtuafighter.com!

That Akira player is just .. just too good.
Yup. I first heard about him in VF4 Evo for PS2. He was on some of those disc replay matches. He was great back then along with Oshu Akira.
Homestay is one of the all time great Akira players, and just simply a legendary Virtua Fighter player in general.
