- Food sample making kit series 'Sample'n Cooking'. This time, I made curry rice. The main ingredients are made of wax, and the curry sauce is made of gelatin. This isn't edible, fake food(can not eat). These food samples uses for menu sample by the most of restaurants in Japan. Food samples can carry more detailed information about the menu than simple text menu or photo menu. It's one of Japanese culture. I want to get and show you the techniques of making food samples.

Y'all know if there are any Japanese kits like this but that have real food? I'm currently pregnant and can't inhale any wax or plastic but I also really wanna try kits like these
@@kyleeramsey16 you can use a protector mask, for nose and mouth.... (the ones when the flu appears and someone is sick and avoid to let others get the same with that)....

What is the purplish thing you cut up separately and then mix with glue then you seem to use as a comdement as some type? What is that supposed to be? I'm guessing something like ginger maybe?

Lottshorse These are like what restaurants and things use for display to show what the food will look like when you order it. That way it doesn't go bad by having to make the dish fresh every day.

As filler: only the top layer is visible so there's no need to fill the whole bowl with fake rice.

It's all wax and plastic so I imagine it smells just like that. So unless you find that smell good it probably smells like chemicals and candles.
