I have a 2017 pursuit 408S and my generator is telling me that there is no voltage to check the output. what do you think could be going on here as I’m thinking it might be an easy fix, but I’ve also been told that I may need a new generator, I just bought this Pursuit and the generator was working fine. I had another friend of mine. Tell me it could have been caused by turning it off while under load any thoughts or ideas of a way I can troubleshoot it?
Thank you and the first thing you need to do is check the generator at the main connections. They are known to come loose sometimes. If they are all tight then I would test the output at the generator without anything connected. If it still doesn't have voltage then it's time to start testing the backend of the stator. Could have shorted out and that means it's time for a new one.
Hi Justin, just found your videos (thank-you so much for all the great content) while trying to troubleshoot my Mini 8 DP generator problem. It is installed in a 2013 Pursuit (so probably 2012 model). I have replaced VCS & Power Board recently on Isaac’s recommendation from FP, new fuel pump, filter and stop solenoid. But still have problem with it after start only getting to 750-800 rpm. I just did your suggested fuel line vent process, but still having the issue. The throttle solenoid is operating and trying to accelerate the motor, but it just stays at low idle. Any suggestions?
That is a tough one without me actually looking at it. My best guess would be the throttle actuator itself. I have seen them go bad more than once. If you have all new electronics installed that would be the next thing I try. Keep me posted.
Unfortunately I only work on what we sell from our dealership. I wish I could help. Maybe try and call Fischer Panda to see who their dealer is close to you. They might know someone that's certified to help. I'm happy to answer anything I can ☺️

Hi Justin. I'm torn about getting a generator for my Grady 325. It seems like many of your videos are about generator repairs! Are they more trouble than they are worth? Thanks
The reason you see so many in my videos is because I specialize in them. I basically am the one to fix them in all the boats we sell. We sell 300+ boats a year. They are good generators and I wouldn't hesitate to have one in your Grady. It's great for keeping batteries up/cooking/heat/AC/etc. Good question and thanks for watching.

The perfect video I've been looking for! I have the 8 mini which worked great until either the raw water line/filter got plugged up or perhaps the impeller failed. I'm going to trouble-shoot that shortly. But the bigger issue is suddenly I'm getting an error that says, "Invalid Calib/Program Data". Not sure what that is about. Even if I fix the raw water issue, I got start the generator as it seems to have some sort of controller error. Any idea?
It depends on the year. Could be a bad vcs171 board on the generator or CT board. You would have to do some diagnostic tests to see what is happening. If you call Fischer Panda they are usually good about helping diagnose the issue. Thanks for watching.

Honestly you will never find it. Most of the time it just gets pumped out with the exhaust water. I have never seen one clog up with impeller pieces and I have changed a lot of impellers over 20 years.

I’m trying a cold reboot but if that doesn’t work they will replace my electronics hundred percent of the warrantee since apparently they had a bad batch of electronics in my model. Now I have to figure out how to remove all the electronics without being able to lift the generator. I think I saw one of your videos you removing the electronic modules. I need to figure out what’s holding them in place
I think I do have a video or two of the electronics. They did have a run of bad components at one point. It's not to difficult to remove all the electronics.
Do you work on smaller Fischer Pandas like a 4200 PMS? Can't find good FP techs here in the Northeast... Mine would stop running by itself after about a minute or two. Any ideas would be appreciated.
There are a few things common on the that model. They require a valve adjustment or check that nobody ever does and that will cause it to not run after it warms up. The fuel pump can be a problem. The one on the motor. They also have a compression release that can hang up. Keep me posted if you find anything. Thanks

The generator has three computer components. You will need to replace all three(Vcs board, boost board and display). Call Fischer Panda directly and tell them your problem. (954) 462-2800. They will help you out.
I have a 2018 pursuit OS 355 with the mini 8 panda as shown in this video but I can’t seem to find the coolant reservoir they refer to in the owners manual? Is there one on this model?
@@mac01810 It took a call to pursuit but I did find it. It’s mounted on the bulkhead just forward of the grill/sink area. You can access it by removing the cabinet underneath the grill. I believe there are 4 pins you remove to pull the cabinet out.

I have worked on the 4200 before. Do you know if it's the 1 Cylinder version? There are a few different models depending on the year.

I might be wrong but if you look next to the batteries in the back you should see a reservoir with green fluid in it.
