William Gauge cracks me up. He's so damned flamboyant. (Semi-quoted) "HIIIIIII DOMINIC!" "The enemy destroyed my Megalith. On the bright side, it made a rather pleasant explosion!" "Ooh, I love stories!" "I LOVE to chat!"
What boggles me a bit is that at the end of the cybran Campaign, Which yes I know isn’t cannon as the Aeon one led to the events of FA and 2 but Brackman announced he was basically gonna take the long nap letting his clone (the player) rule the cybran in his stead, the circumstances of FA I figured he would’ve pushed those plans back, but not outright forgo them. So him opting to have a son (probably another clone of himself with a bit of Doysta mixed in) that also presumably had a childhood given he was schoolmates with Thalia and Dominic. Though even then Ivan was a test bed for the protobrain implant which I assume will give Brackman a new body. It almost seems like he’s just pulled a bit of a 180, from wanting to free his ‘children’ and then rest to now wanting presumably a whole new body.
Shame that they left us at such a cliffhanger and they got bankcrupt. If only they couldve continued the story of Supreme Commander... And that Reforged Gauge...
Given the SupCom: FA ending, where QAI was rebooted and something about a "new directive", it might be Dr Brackman is merging with QAI, and becoming the protagonist of the next game. Also, Ivan's action at Shiva Prime was illogical: The Cybran Nation will eventually re-invent the technology, thus giving the same result, only slower.
I love capturing at least the first experimental, then using it for defense and upgrading the ACU first and using the commander for pretty much everything.
Thalia kael sure is confusing when you try to determine which side she’s one. When I played it, I thought she was on the side with princess Burke, but I guess not. Sad she ended up going to prison. Kinda sad to see it end like that
I think you guys are all forgetting something... anyone remember QAI? It never died... IT NEVER DIES... I think the whole thing with Brackman and the Protobrain has something to do with QAI... Brackman felt very strong about his "children" in the original SupCom, so it's entirely possible Brackman "pretended" to kill QAI because he didn't have the heart to destroy one of his creations. Although I don't like Brackman in this game. He was someone to look up to before, now I find him annoying =)
As far as the Cybrans are concerned, I used to empathize with Dr. Brackman in his desire to liberate the Cybran Symbionts back in SC1. I really felt sorry for him when Dostya died in FA. Now, with all his scheming and hidden agendas, I just wish the liquid in his tank decays and stinks to knock some sense into that brain of his.
Realistically the Cybrans would have out-teched the other factions 100 times over during the course of the infinite war and been able to annihilate them at will.
I also want to add to my comment that the seraphim will most likely be re-introduced in the next game, not just to bring back QAI but also because after completely reconstructing the gameplay the seraphim would be even more badass if they were brought back.
It was during an Aeon mission, the 5th one I think. My bad though, it was called Center of Quantum Science and Technology. But, QAI Visionworks is the thing in the tutorial. Anyway, yeah, it is rather disappointing that QAI had no part in the game. Perhaps an expansion pack or DLC? However, when Brackman accessed QAI to retrieve the gate codes for Earth, maybe QAI corrupted him.
13 years later, just popping in to spoil the ending teaser. It shows what occurred BEFORE the game, not after. Gauge helped Brackman become a mechanical brain, then Brackman sent Guage on a secret mission to get the terraformer. However, Guage went rogue. Enter: Brackman’s son. This is why it seemed Brackman was holding back info, and why Guage had earlier access to Brackman’s advanced tech.
I just sat in a nice and cozy base with hundreds of turrets and shields guarding it while building abunch of nuke silos, The Light show was entertaining believe me
@yuyuyu25 They probably all died or are too old to be Commanders. This is 25 years later. There is no mention of them in the game. However, the President of the Coaltion (presumably a UEF) was assassinated at the start, maybe that was General Hall.
This kinda bugs me. I remember playing through it the first time (Preordered it and played through it, beat it within a few days.) And I remember being ordered to kill the escape pod before ending the game. There also wasn't that final cinematic. I think this was added in a patch....
Actually not a bad game at all. Storyline wasn't too bad either. So the gameplay is different and the battles are smaller. This game was a huge improvement over the first game.
@yuyuyu25 They probably all died or are too old to be Commanders. This is 25 years later. There is no mention of them in the game. However, the President of the Coaltion (presumably a UEF) was assassinated at the start, maybe that was General Hall. Since, when Forged Alliance ended, he was the one that offered the Cybran and Aeon peace and whatnot. .
I don't think this version of the game lived up to its potential it felt rushed into production an the story was rather flat in tone. Unlike the previous version that clearly had cinematic cut scenes this one had a more cartoon type of look to it that turned me off along with the voice acting the exception being Dr. Brackman voice over, but even he felt more like a typical villain than a character you could care about as was the case with the first Supreme Commander. Its been some time since this franchise was heard from perhaps they've closed the company that made these games? It would nice to see an updated version of this game, one can only hope I guess.
lol I just beat this mission like 30 minutes ago, all I did was pile up 30 Megaliths and drove it everywhere, leaving about 10 to defend base and more defense towers than I ever wanted.
@NoobSnoopy They live all over the galaxy. In the first game there were billions of causalities before they established peace. Also, all the units are replicated robots, not people. The only people are the ACUs. So, the causalities were from conquering planets and such, not during the actual battles.
@Bladeofspirit She helped Gauge destroy an Aeon city and freed criminals from a highly secure UEF prison. And, if Gauge was telling the truth, she destroyed a Cybran fleet on a humanitarian mission. But, she thought that she was doing the right thing, since she was being manipulated.
Well in the opening cutscene of forged alliance earth get's annihilated by the seraphim and the playable characters are always at earth, also the uef ending in supcom 1 was cannon so yes there all dead
@tompolokcruise it´s Thalia Kael, the Player-Character during the Aeon campaign. she´s handcuffed and a prisoner because she was after all one of the biggest terrorists in the galaxy :( too bad she still got imprisoned after her change
So, I never bought SupCom 2, but I'm wondering what happened to the characters from the original, like General Hall, Rhiza, and the playable characters, the UEF guy, the Prince's Champion, and Brackmans's Clone?
@Joeyred56Cp lol, I think he said he wont fail him again cause he got his ass handed to him by the player in the last mission. Anyways, what just happened with Brackman and Gauge at the end, I don't get it.
@NoobSnoopy just imagine that all the people in the feature can live even longer than us... apart from that, all the fighting machines need only ONE commander and there are no humans sitting inside them... and don't forget that the human growth is and exponential process which is no longer limited by room or ressources because they can travel to distant planets... sry for my bad english... when you are considering these things i think such a long war seems much more plausible. : ]
@Pelor188 I couldn't agree more.:) SupCom 1 and FA were better, IMHO. I can't believe SupCom 2's story was subpar given that it's a Square Enix game. I played FA as a Cybran first and I almost lost on medium difficulty. I lost my entire surface fleet led by 4 Galaxy BBs to Aeon Shockers. I really do hope GPG and SE could salvage Sup Com 2 with patches or an expansion. Looking forward to GPG's Kings and Castles. I bet that one gonna be an epic too.
It can't be Riley because the President Riley, in SupCom1, was killed when the Seraphim invaded. It must just be a coincidence or implying that it was a relative.
@bluelaser1012 i for one dont really care. the models are fine and this game seems to have a good campaign. models/graphics dont make a game, its the gameplay.
At the end of the aeon campaign, when gauge nukes dominic and whats-her-face, he says "A thousand suns coming together at once would be like the brilliance of the master". now the seraphim, QAI and Hex5 refered to "the master" many times in FA ... i hate teasers
The game may have been horrible but the story itself is quite interesting, I hope they have enough money to make a fourth and learn from their mistakes
Storage. If they simply took SC2 and re-added storage it'd solve everything. Well...everything gameplay-wise. The lack of storage means you can throw out experimentals 10 minutes into the game. Literally. I've had 2 functioning protobrains completed in 12 before, many times. With storage limits and then expansion facilities like SC1/FA, you can't do that. But replacing tech levels with research I actually like. It means your tanks from 3 minutes in are still useful at the very end.
I am very disappointed that the game had nothing to do with QAI's words from the end of Forged Alliance. Chris Taylor just made his own story practically throwing the original story of Supreme Commander in the trash.
The QAI teaser at the end of FA was teasing "Supreme Commander: Experimentals", which was later cancelled. Back on topic, however, I must say that Brackman needs to die.
Unfortunately, Gas-Powered Games (the developer of SC2) was absorbed by Wargaming.net in 2013; while both have made games for Square Enix (the publishers who own the SC franchise) it's unlikely they'll be able to make another one with the same people.
William Gauge cracks me up. He's so damned flamboyant. (Semi-quoted)

This game was ok, but I miss the huge scale battles of Supcom 1 and FA. Anyone else?
yes...also the unit variety.
Mr. Andrew Yes!
I never got to play FA, but I wish SC1 was backwards compatible on Xbox One, I really miss it.
@@adrena-rage I'm pretty sure it is
@@joshfoster7420 It isn't, I tried. Several times.
lol almost 6 years later and no indication of a third game
cool opinion dude
Gas Powered Games died in 2013, Chris Taylor pretty much said he wasn't interested in making another SupCom. I think its just Wargaming now
yea they went bankrupt , and probably noone will buy the rights to make a 3rd game
Chris Taylor is making a new rts he started very late 2017
lol 12 years later and no third game
Supreme commander 2 was one of the best games I ever played
What boggles me a bit is that at the end of the cybran Campaign, Which yes I know isn’t cannon as the Aeon one led to the events of FA and 2 but Brackman announced he was basically gonna take the long nap letting his clone (the player) rule the cybran in his stead, the circumstances of FA I figured he would’ve pushed those plans back, but not outright forgo them.

oh, and i completed this level for the second time a while ago, i nuked him w/ 20 or so nukes, i rofled when brackman said "very efficient"
I
WANT
QAI!
NOW!!
didnt know you were also a man of high culture danny hahahahah
Shame that they left us at such a cliffhanger and they got bankcrupt. If only they couldve continued the story of Supreme Commander... And that Reforged Gauge...
In one of the missions you destroy something called QAI Visionworks.
I played it.
The campaign was only about 12 hours long for me on medium.
Very well played.
I enjoyed every episode very much.
Thalia kael sure is confusing when you try to determine which side she’s one. When I played it, I thought she was on the side with princess Burke, but I guess not. Sad she ended up going to prison. Kinda sad to see it end like that

really?
Sincerely. Checked with a friend who'd done the same. Gauge's escape pod flew around the map and you had to shoot it down before it was all over.
pics/vid or it didn't happen :p
are dr. Brackman and Gauge joind or something at the end? 4.00 and what's with ivan?
Actually not a bad game at all. Storyline wasn't too bad either. So the gameplay is different and the battles are smaller. This game was a huge improvement over the first game.

but you have to admit you want another game becuase of that fucking teaser
You are absolutely correct it would be nice to see an updated version of the franchise even a rebooted one.

No. He is UEF.
This is the Cybran campaign as a different character. You play as Brackman's son, which is Ivan. The Cybran campaign ends the game.
@Mrcyber101 He had a terminal disease. It said that earlier in the campaign.
i wish in the next supreme commander there will be multiple scenaries to play trought, based on ingame actions, like in deus ex.
I thought the same thing when i heard Gage say "Hi dominic!!" in UEF mission 3
i wonder if that was QAI in that server core thing a few missions back...could be he returns in the 3rd ;)
forged alliance is a stand alone expansion to sup com 1, not supcom 3. also it was not only set before supcom 2 but produced before supcom 2
that fucking teaser i need another game
Lord Vader hell yeah
Lord Vader also havent they learned what happened the last time they created a gage shit blew up
Hey ProfessorMudkip, have you ever considered doing an LP of Universe at War: Earth Assault?
Ahaha yeah, I loved him. When you got to ally with him I was like "well this will be fun" :P

@tompolokcruise
it´s Thalia Kael, the Player-Character during the Aeon campaign.
she´s handcuffed and a prisoner because she was after all one of the biggest terrorists in the galaxy :(
too bad she still got imprisoned after her change
My game crashed about 15 seconds into this video, just checking to see if I missed anything
what happened to Dr.Brackmens voice? he doesn't do the "Oh yes" or anything, and the voice is completely different...
@BoydTheMilkmanX Yeah, I know, I beat the mission with 3 once, I just think megaliths are way more fun to tear someone's base apart piece by piece
@ProfessorMudkip maybe dr brackman was busy with reporgraming QAI when gauge (QAI) disconected himself...
dam it i so wanted QAI to do something in this this game
So, I never bought SupCom 2, but I'm wondering what happened to the characters from the original, like General Hall, Rhiza, and the playable characters, the UEF guy, the Prince's Champion, and Brackmans's Clone?
does this mean that there is going to be a number 3 where all the allies like uef and whatever whatever
@Deathlock11
Wasn't he supposed to go sleep forever? What's he's still doing awake.
Sad ending for Thalia Kael...
In any case, they need to make SupCom 3 or an expansion of this now.
@edw19909 jaran had an inherited disease that killed his mother, so yea, he died from the disease too....
@Joeyred56Cp lol, I think he said he wont fail him again cause he got his ass handed to him by the player in the last mission.
Anyways, what just happened with Brackman and Gauge at the end, I don't get it.
@Obsidiam
Perhaps the betrayal was his ploy originally. I havent finished the game yet, couple cybran missions to go, but thats my guess :)
addendum: does brackman become somewhat evil here with the protobrain stuff?
@MoppyPuppy Yep.
@NoobSnoopy
just imagine that all the people in the feature can live even longer than us...
apart from that, all the fighting machines need only ONE commander and there are no humans sitting inside them...
and don't forget that the human growth is and exponential process which is no longer limited by room or ressources because they can travel to distant planets...
sry for my bad english...
when you are considering these things i think such a long war seems much more plausible. : ]

Wait, wait, wait... Wtf happened to QAI??? I mean at the end of F.A. wasn't he still "operational?"
nukes flying everywhere at this part i go "OH CRAP!!!!!!!!"as i have no defense so i rush 2 soul rippers over there.before my base is devestated.
True, but presumably if he was being controlled by QAI he would try to hide it. ;)
We won't know until more games are released though. :)
i am pretty sure ivan is brackmans clone isn't he?
It can't be Riley because the President Riley, in SupCom1, was killed when the Seraphim invaded. It must just be a coincidence or implying that it was a relative.
@Battletick Let's also hope they pretend the gameplay changes never happened.
what happning at the very end ? there has to be a supream commander 3 to explain right ?
@edw19909 looks like he found a serafim brain, or something
probably not, according to their website they were barely able to pull planetary annihilation off....
i am stuck here... -_- when he told gauge to surrender , the robot is stuck between my shield bouncers :'(
@bluelaser1012 i for one dont really care. the models are fine and this game seems to have a good campaign. models/graphics dont make a game, its the gameplay.
@ProfessorMudkip it's the same one that killed thier mother
the teaser at the end is freacky. when i watched it after finishing campaign , i almost choked lol
the last mission i won by launching 3 or 10 nukes at him when his shield was down
Anyone know where I can the music played during Ivan's speech?
hey do you think we'll have the same comanders in the next installment
@acamannon Hey i take offence to that :), he doesn't sound Australian from what i have heard.
You are indefintly the queen of supreme commander 2 :D
@NoobSnoopy and the ACU's did mass produce them
hello opening to a sup com 3 and or 2 1/2. Glad the new Steam DLC for 2 has the Monkeylord.
did they kill jaran kale and what is dr brackman doing
No idea, contact GPG/Steam support.
4:55 is that a Seraphim brain or Gauge's?
So ya what happened to QAI. And the Seraphim I'm pretty sure there are remnants. And at the end of FA QAI rebooted.
LOL!, Jaran Kael = Jarvan Kale in Generals XD
Must be a tribute to him
so how do you play the campaign?
uef, illuminate then cybran?
At the end of the aeon campaign, when gauge nukes dominic and whats-her-face, he says
"A thousand suns coming together at once would be like the brilliance of the master".
now the seraphim, QAI and Hex5 refered to "the master" many times in FA
...
i hate teasers
is there endings for each faction or only this one?
You have to play it with Steam.
What the hell were those floating- brain things at the start?!
The game may have been horrible but the story itself is quite interesting, I hope they have enough money to make a fourth and learn from their mistakes
so, why is that Illumintae girl in handcuffs?
Storage. If they simply took SC2 and re-added storage it'd solve everything. Well...everything gameplay-wise.

James Monson Damn, that suck =/
heartbreakmanNo1 IKR
Still waiting
That brain is old...really...really...old.....
Dr. Brackman must be stopped one day......don't you think???
@artspret1 Wich probably will have the same outcome as Cnc4 :/
it could be tht maddox is the uef guys son william gauge is the cybran clone and as for illuminate i dno
@ShadowForge762 You forgot "IT'S A SECRET!" Hahahaha
I thought in Forged Alliance Dr.Brackman destroyed QAI
work toghter and the cybran dad turns eval and trys to kill his son or does kill his son
what the?
how does he survive
