MW2 is also really difficult, Mainly because of the Special Ops missions, And don't get me started on the Jug missions in Favela and Wetwork on Veteran these were almost impossible to beat, But luckily I've beaten all of them (barley) I almost gave up tbh.
I earned every Achievement for the game on the Xbox 360 but not WAW though because WAW's Campaign on Veteran is so difficult that it's considerably worse than Halo 2's Campaign on Legendary! I'm not kidding! I would much rather have Jackal Snipers own me than a horde of grenades being tossed at me constantly 😂

Easily took out the first 2 flak canons then proceeded to try to take advantage of using reznov as cover next thing I know multiple source grenades came belting towards and avoided most of them then was stuck though, can be done as I've clocked it multiple times before
Ended up giving up playing and went back to an earlier level though, might try another time

I’d like to think the grenades because while jackals are so insanely quick to kill you, the the grenades are entirely random while the jackals are planned spots. Halo 2’s is more reaction based and hoping they miss while WAW’s is luck based. And while you can do your best to prefire or outsnipe a jackal you can see, dodging 50 grenades going every which direction is a matter of physical ability.
I’d like to add that I have done both and trust me, if you have the ability to do either you are insane in my book. I never passed the WAW mission because I almost broke my controller out of anger playing it, and halo 2 I literally gave up on because i just could not. I love halo but I just skipped legendary for it for that reason.
Halo 2s jackal snipers were easy to manipulate though, if you get out of the map, (outskirts) or delta halo, just look at speed running guides.

The Heart of the Reich was without a doubt the hardest mission I'd ever played through. I recall beating the campaign on Veteran on PC, but trying it on Xbox made me think I gave up and dropped the difficulty to Hardened. The nades are insane and the enemies are unrelenting.
@@johng3858 Jackal snipers are straight up more cheese. In WAW, you can run away from them before they explode, and even if you do get hit you don't die in a single one unless you're sitting on it. Jackal snipers will always one shot you, and you can't escape it. They will legitimately shoot you while facing the opposite direction and while flinching. WAW really wasn't that terrible on Veteran, the grenade spam is exaggerated just like CE Legendary Library is. Halo 2 is just horribly designed, WAW is mostly just taking cover for long periods of time.
World at War on veteran may have taken me 5 or 6 hours, Veteran Halo 2 took me 13 hours.

I recently played through WAW on hardened difficulty. There were several times when I saw enemies through a sniper scope lobbing grenades in a totally different direction that somehow landed at my feet
I beat all of World at War on veteran... The mission "Blowtorch and Corkscrew" took me SIX HOURS to beat
Heart of the Reich took me 3 hours :(

Yeah : blowtorch and corkscrew were both hard on veteran mode though, burn the grass then, sprint back in the beginning then, between the rocks burn the grass on the right then, hide behind the log and hurl a smoke cannister before helps and once again get to make progress and the rest is of the stage is using quality tactics
It took me like a week to beat that mission-
5:56 I had beat it regularly on Veteran cuz I don't recall ever using smoke grenades in a CoD campaign.
I just kept the explosive crossbow and picked up one of the AKs that had an underbarrel grenade launcher. I just noobtubed the enemies and moved up if the enemies were cleared out for a few seconds.
You're forced to use smoke grenades in one part of "Wolverines!" in MW2
I finally got off the ship again on veteran mode
It's a good old fashioned idea to grab the sniper rifle plus side step - that helps a lot more than expected.
I used to grab the sten as a secondary sources weapon though, found that the sniper rifle is heaps better especially within the stage plus can switch between weapons when get outside

WaW moves at a decent pace even on Veteran up until “Heart of the Reich,” I got to there in about 3 days and then was stuck for about 3 more then took break for a month then finally beat it. The grenade spam is unreal on that level. Yet that’s what made it so memorable lol
WaW in my opinion is the hardest campaign.

The story of black ops now is shutty. Tho bo3 had a very thought provoking story that didnt quite hit the mark. (Cod shouldn't be about matrix shit lol) bo4 had a story but it was just kinda confusing more than bo3. Masons granddaughter dating a resurrected woods with woods being turned a villain? Na. Those first two missions you mentioned from black ops one...absolutely hit the nail on the head. For a few hours on S.O.G I didn’t even realise you were meant to ignite the barrels so it was just me wasting time trying to get down a hill of limitless enemies. I eventually did it though, got 100% achievements on bo1
The Black Ops 2 campaign didn't really feel like a challenge to me. The constant ammo refill crates and ability to customize your load out before the mission took part of the challenge from it. It took me only a couple of days (playing like 2 or 3 hours each day) to beat the campaign on veteran. The only real challenge to me was the strike force missions that everyone probably forgot about.
Strike force are the dumbest and hardest!!! I couldn't stress it enough how much hell was summoned in those "missions"
@@donovancervantes8066 I liked how the result of the mission impacted the future events in the campaign, but it's clear that these missions were NOT meant to be played on veteran. I swear the one FOB Spectre mission on veteran is almost as frustrating as some of World at War's veteran missions.
Dillon C the one I find the most difficult is I.E.D. I completed that mission with one car left standing on regular and on recruit I can’t complete the level with all cars intact

The hardest missions on veteran are the strike force missions if you choose to do them
The final mission for the American campaign in WaW is one of the most difficult, especially at the end
I agree - assaulting siri castle though, what I do is nick the enemies weapons and there's a room just before climb the stairs that's got more ammo though, there's 2 enemy soldiers in the corner playing games for an ambush and once take them out can progress further into the stage hide and sidestep then, when gets to the end of the stage Iike to toggle and hide behind the barrel and there's also found hurling grenades plus special nades also helps
Urgh. There were so many enemies - you just had to sit at the very back with a sniper to complete that one
I sometimes hid behind the barrel next to the stairs by lying down.
Only crouch in order to manipulate and protect the friendly soldiers plus call in the friendly air strikes ✈ on the opponents buildings

World at Wars veteran campaign brought me to insanity. Grenade spam, bad checkpoints, infinite spawning enemies . By the time I was at Downfall, I was laughing when I got killed.

Heart of the Reich isn't hard at all. The problem with that mission is that people tend to rush ahead without even clearing out the area first. Just stay at longer range so that no grenades can hurt you, and snipe any enemy as you see them. You will eventually be at the point where the enemy no longer spawns.
World at War is a very rare example where there's barely any infinite enemy spawn until you advance forward, plus you don't have any kinds of time limit that forces you to rush. This makes WaW campaign surprisingly easy compare to any other installment, such as MW1 or 2.
I think people who say WaW campaign on Veteran is the hardest are just plain being impatience to be honest.

I only hope other people appreciate how detailed the rain droplets on the weapons were in World at War. It still looks good to this day.
Surprised you didn’t include Numbers from Black Ops 1. That section where you’re on a roof between a ton of buildings and enemies are in every window on every level. There’s a strike team that sneaks up on you. Seemingly endless spawning enemies on the lower part. Then you get below and have to get through that choke point where the enemies have the most laser point aim. You can’t even kill the final two guys above the pit you need to jump in before you FINALLY get the checkpoint. Only redeeming part is you can use the thundergun
And the shootout at the end where u only have CZ is so poorly designed

Just shoot the guy driving the jeep when he gets past a lot of the buildings and shoot the general when he's running out in the open. That's how I got the gunslinger achievement where you have to headshot Amsel with a pistol, and I even did it from the building too.

I just nick the enemy soldiers weapons including the mp40 along with / or, perhaps the mp44
That helps a great deal plus using the mortars to take out the enemy soldiers on the bridge

I still have Reichstag PTSD where you were supposed to take out Flak88's. I either died by aim bot soldiers or 20 grenades flying towards me.
I literally just went back and played all the COD campaigns on Veteran. None even came close to the grenade spam that was WAW. Sure you could snipe, but unless you went forward, the enemies would keep spawning. It made MW2 veteran look like a joke.
Any MW in the saga actually isn't too difficult. It's mostly just a patience game.
Tap/burst fire your M4A1/ACR from a long range and it'll be easy. The hardest mission there is the mission in Makarov's safehouse. But even there it shouldn't be too much of a problem, only use claymores on the right side of the house (with the balcony and downstairs passage to prevent getting flanked) and cover the door with 2 LMGs (burst fire to help stall out your magazine's need to reload). However, getting through the forest after this, is highly dependent on twitch reflexes and luck.
Another stand-out moment is the boat chase, mostly due to the open part of it, and the fact that you have to keep moving up or you'll fail. But this is mostly memorizing where enemies spawn and picking certain routes which will give you cover from the helicopters and other boats.
WAW should have a 15 minute video on it's own on what the hardest parts are in it's veteran campaign.

I agree with you in every mission. I've done them all to get the Platinum trophy for every Call of Duty, and damn, these missions still stuck in my mind. WaW was such a torture to go trough, it is insane!

Yeah, i'm not doing the BO games in veteran but i did just finish mw1's campaign in veteran. Super hard but super fun. I didnt complete mile high club yet. Luckily i completed one shot,one kill's survival part by only dying twise. I died a shit ton of times in "no fighting in the war room" though.
I recomande you to play it first in regular to get use to the missions and after do it in veteran thats how i did all my cod games in veteran

The mile high club stage especially on veteran mode within the original call of duty modern warfare was mega insanely extremely hard on veteran mode especially since it's got a only one minute timer instilled
I still haven't completed the mile high club stage after All this time with its ridiculously stupid low timer of only 60 seconds

Black ops 1s executive order was the hardest Veteran mission I ever played in cod. It’s engrained in my mind and I’ve played every cod campaign on its hardest difficulty.

It may just be me but I want to say that “Relentless” was the hardest mission for me in WaW. It’s the one when you’re on a tank then get ambushed. It was really long and the lack of cover made it the hardest level for me. It’s been awhile so maybe there was something I missed though.
Those last 2 WAW missions are tough as hell but after 4 hours my friend and I did it
Downfall from WaW is easy on veteran compared to the levels before.
The only hard part of it is the first part but it's a breeze after that part.

First of all, I just found this channel, and I love these videos. Now to my main, long comment.
I've beaten World at War on Veteran 3 times, 1 time with a friend, 2 times for myself (I had beaten it once before, but I played in co-op, and then the game told me I had never beaten the game on Veteran, so I did it again). Heart of The Reich is one of the most difficult levels I've ever played on a game ever. Nacht der Untoten is easily the hardest in the game though, I've never beat it, not even with 4 friends, lol.
I've done Black Ops on Veteran only once or twice, it's one of my favorites in the series, but seriously, to hell with Executive Order, and S.O.G. I do miss the good old days with all the hype around Zombies though.
Black Ops 2, I don't remember being too bad aside from Odysseus.
Black Ops 3, I started playing that one with my CoD buddy, I was so excited to finally have another co-op campaign...too bad the game was garbage. We had gotten like, half way through the game on Vet, and then our data was wiped or something so we had to start over. We got all the way to like, the last level I think, but it was so stupidly hard, we quit for the night, and we haven't played since.
And I never touched Black Ops 4 aside from Zombies.

@@Zeqweery Lots of luck really. The enemies keep respawning, so pretty much clear it out, and then run for it. It's also best to try and clear them out after you've rolled the barrels.
I had a funny story with SOG, everything was taking me so long to get to because of the difficulty but I came across an issue with Mortar section because I didn't hear that I was supposed to go prone so I thought my game was glitched as I kept dying over and over again because of this I restarted the WHOLE mission and I had to fight through everything again and finally came back to the mortar section only to hear what I was supposed to do...fun times
WaW had the hardest hands down. Even if the grenade spam was gone, Blowtorch and a Cork Screw would still be hard as hell

I really hate strike force missions in BO2, impossible on veteran and not fun at all. But I totally agree with you, just wanna add Kowloon (died too many times on a few certain parts) for BO1 and Burn em Out in WaW. Surprisingly Heart of the reich wasn't too bad in my last Veteran playthrough. I think I just tried to play it safe by staying farther from the battlefield at first and using the kar98k/mosin nagant. Still hate the grenade spam though
In bo2, the hardest missions on veteran were the strikforce missions, I literally had to practice the missions before playing them in the campaign
Hardest Black Ops 3 level on realistic was that one that had the boss fight in the hexagonal room with bots spawning all the time. Make one mistake in a room with zero cover change possibilities, enemies from all sides, ones that run at you and ones that shoot -- took me a few hours.
I then discovered that there was no point in realistic mode as there wasn't any bonus for completing it over veteran that I saw, which killed my mojo for it and I never touched it again
I'm just seeing this video after I decided to replay WaW. Finished it about 5 days ago. The Reichstag was absolutely miserable. Most of the levels I could get through after about 5-10 deaths and some difficult choke points. Not that one. For 4 days, I would pick it up, die for and hour and a half trying to get to the next 2 artillery, quit, then try again the next day. It really does feel like RNG. I found that waiting for full health, nading everywhere, then pushing teammates forward helped. Once you got to a push point, you could fall back to the broken concrete and just dodge nades and pick off enemies while the ai took out enemies. The whole level is brutal, but pushing from the first two AT guns to the next was by far the hardest part. Finished the rest of the game about an hour and a half after.
I beated bo1 campaign on veteran a month or two ago. SOG I hated the most until I finally realized I needed to hit those barrels.( game was bugged and didn't show the ability to knock them down)

I'm proud to say I've beaten all cod game's veteran difficulty from advanced warfare and before. Easily, waw was the hardest, most frustrating thing I've done in gaming. Black ops had 2 missions I found extremely hard. I had to replay Executive order 5 times because I could NOT beat it (I didn't have smokes) and s.o.g of course. Special mention to mile high club first on the old game then on remastered...twice I had to beat that shit. But the funnily enough, even though it was ungodly frustrating...I still wanna play them. Can say the same to newer games.

I suffered through Black Ops 3 on Realistic Solo, it took 3 days. But in the end, I got the ‘No One Will Believe You’ Achievement, so I never need to do it again.

I remember that the last two levels here for call of duty world at war it was a f****** hell and also the grenades do spun out of nowhere my friend showed me on PC that grenades spon out of the sky every 30 and then you got the enemies that can freaking throw things half a mile at you
i loved the grande spam made it fun to try move to cover by thinking if i can hold it be fore i got pinned down its like dark souls but with guns hahahaha
I really hope Bo5 isn't the next Treyarch game. I'd much rather prefer that they make a new series and maybe set the game in the Vietnam war, WW1 or maybe make Waw remastered.

@@BiscuitZombies It'd be neat to have a WWI themed Call of duty since we haven't had one before and when Battlefield did it, they were very successful. Plus there are things that they could add or improve upon to make the game even grittier, more gory and horrifying and since it's Cod, the game would be more fast paced. That's not to say that I don't love Battlefield 1 though. It's a shame that you can't play against bots or play offline with your friends. :(
End of Executive Order was the only time I had to switch to hardened in the whole COD series

You forgot the part in Rebirth Island where you’re on a tank with a terrible MG and a terrible grenade launcher and that there’s this one checkpoint that had many people spike their controller off the wall
SOG from black ops is the only mission I haven't been able to complete on veteran. I always get stuck at the barrel part

The nova 6 mission in bo1 is the only level that I completed without dying once, everything else was at least 1 death
The hardest veteran mission of BO1 for me was the one where you are in a tank for a decent amount of time. The gun overheated really quick, so you couldn't shoot many enemies. I don't remember the name of the mission but it was in the second half of the campaign.
Must be referring to rebirth island level.
The way to be@ that particular order on veteran mode is to simply use the grenade launcher as well by using the g button as well on pc especially towards the enemy militia soldiers nearby the vehicles though, I'm too sure which button to press while playing the game on a console version

I felt that Life wasn’t as difficult as Rise and Fall. I had to invite a squad of 4 people with strategies to get through Rise and Fall. For life, as long as you work on the objective from a distance, you can easily get through it

Reminded me of that frustration called World At War Final mission -"Heart of Reich". Lost my dear gaming mouse to that battle.
Once I take out the first 2 flak canons I run back and hide behind the wrecked army tank or sprint towards the truck below the stairs then, get into the building on the right and you can replenish some bottles to throw and after take out the enemy flak crew and what not grab the panzershrek and aim carefully @ the flak canon crew on the left
After taking out the second lot of flak canons run backwards to cover
After that can go and get the battle auto from the top of the pylon and do some snipering from there until the next checkpoint then, take out the enemy soldiers and get up the stairs and there's a sniper rifle there which I grab sprint back take cover behind the broken wall and sniper many enemy soldiers and the backup weapon is the russian 70 round drum one
@@greatest_bumble_bee_dude All I did was go extreme left to take out one cannon, then in middle building to extreme right for others, lack 9f checkpoint was major problem.
It's mainly because of the enemy soldiers with the panzershreks on the buildings roof that gotta deal with as well

I think heart of the Reich broke many people if you made it that far in the game. Which I did and I still haven’t passed that mission. Nade spam for days boys.
Veteran is how world at war should be played it gives you ptsd like a real war
I agree. The hardest mission in bo2 (other than old times) is definitely Odessoos.
bo2 3rd mission on veteran i kept gettin nade spam but i manged to make through the campaingn without quiting and got best ending after that i stoped playing the campain. until i got it on pc
WAW was the Ricefields, BO1 SOG, BO2 (can't think of one, maybe the mission on the horses)
I don't know the rest because I stopped playing after BO2.
I don’t know how but I completed the entire BO1 Campaign on veteran when I was 9 bc I didn’t know how to change difficulty.
I beat waw on veteran when i was 11 it wasent to difficult but that mission

Mason Macdougall Same here. I did this years ago and I dont remember having any difficulties but I did it this week and Jesus Christ that mission took me HOURS

One mission in waw that should made in the list is burn em out you are fighting enemies in close quarters that you have to take out all the mortar pits and the tunnel part is the most difficult part
In the sniper mission in waw i got him in 1 but later on i replayed the mission and had to shoot thousands of shots to kill him
Yeah, I remember in WaW Reichstag I throw back 5 grenades that landed on my cover in the same fucking time and then just die from a bullet. If I just have more time I probably finished on a veteran.
Yeah : totally agree - call of duty 5 world at War heart of the Reich level is extremely hard on veteran mode though, I've clocked the game on multiple occasions throughout the challenge though, gotta admit : it was extremely difficult
