alanwbelcher grew up in Michigan. The days get warmer. The sun starts shinning more. Patches of green grass appear. You see your first robin and the migratory birds are back and singing. Soon lilac buds appear. Seems like everything is waking up and coming alive. Nothing like it on planet earth!
How in the world did that end car not come off the tracks or topple over??!!! That's amazing. As much as they use these tracks you would think they would repair them.
Sir Jason !! WOW !! What a difference a year makes !!! Bet you guys enjoyed the skiing & ""SNOW MOBILING "" then ! Enjoyed the video even from Last Year !!! ""KEEP IT SAFE ""!!
DUDE! At 10:08 You could see the trucks shift over to the other side of the track! That would've gave me a heart attack to see that! Great video Jason, keep it up bud!
Excellent catches, Jason. I must say, with all the coronavirus concern sweeping the globe, there’s something calming about watching freight trains tiptoe over fresh, snow-covered tracks. Big consist for that single SD40-2 early in the video. Love the former Conrail Geep. That harmonic rocking gets pretty serious at slow track speeds like this. I’m guessing no more than 10 mph. Thanks for posting!
Wow, that is a lot of snow! I drove up to Grand Rapids one time in February and had to drive for hours through an 8 inch snow storm. My wife said we would never do that again. LOl.
When I saw that wheel set jerk to the side from the violent rocking, I thought it would jump the track, too. Maybe they keep those heavy cars on the end in case they do ever leave the track and that way the rest of the train won't be effected.
Question: why are some of the flat cars (Pulp Cars) empty and loaded in the same direction? Also, what are the industries and businesses serviced on this line?
The toilet paper express. For all those people looking at the empty store shelves. By the way, I have not used toilet paper for over the last 40 or more years. When you use toilet paper you wipe some off and smear the rest around, that's why your white shorts end up with a brown stain in them at the end of the day. the method I use was the first and still the best today ( water ) it gets you completely clean when you take a shower so why use anything else the rest of the day, just install a hand sprayer next to the toilet seat just like the one you use in the kitchen and spray your self- clean, no toilet paper ever needed again. This is no joke, many people around the world use this method. And another thing, toilet paper rubes you raw and helps you to end up with bleeding hemorrhoids and I used to bleed every time I used paper since I have used a handheld water sprayer I have never again had a bleeding problem. and my shorts are as clean when I take them off as they were when I put them on in the morning.
@@@robertheinkel6225 Serves the same purpose But a bidet is a whole complete unit like the toilet it's self and takes up a lot of additional floor space just to do that one job. The hand sprayer is just like the one that your wife uses in the kitchen to rinse the dishes off with and can be installed as a DIY job by any homeowner in 10 to 20 minutes. The installed hand sprayer will pay for its self in one or two months' savings on not buying toilet paper anymore. the hand sprayer can also be used to help clean the bathroom, a win-win situation all around.
Kudos to your grandma Jason. Happy 100! Love your videos. Keep up the good work!!
Awesome video iron mountain Michigan very cold long haul logs stay warm friend bless you Jason
Love those local trains
Happy birthday grandma
Pretty cool at 100 bud!!
Winter is so beautiful when you’re watching it from down south.
Pretty too when it's spring in the north, and you can feel the end coming!
@@alanwbelcher We had a rare snow here in N Ga Feb 8th !!

I really thought it was going over. What a terrible little stretch of track! Thanks for sharing

Absolutely
5:46 that shot of snow through the headlight looks badass!
Great video all ways round!
You can actually see the wheels slide side to side at 9:50. And I don't know why but I miss Conrail.
Cool video. I thought I almost seen the wheels start to lift up.

Some really hate the snow. Come up in the summer!
Jaw Boob. You should do videos this cool!
All I can say is Holy Wah! I didn't say that for years until I watched Escanaba in da Moonlight.
When I saw that wheel set jerk to the side from the violent rocking, I thought it would jump the track, too. Maybe they keep those heavy cars on the end in case they do ever leave the track and that way the rest of the train won't be effected.
I have a picture on my wall with ELS 500 & 501 on it by some old building. My daughter got it for me several years ago.
Happy Birthday to your Grandmother
Thought that last car was going to tip over!
good video jason
Where is all the wood coming from and going and for what purpose? Boy, that car at 9:30 on the end of the train looked like it was going to flip.
There was an acknowledgement by the engineer!
is this Escanaba? Those homes are awfully close together :)

The railroad company needs to watch your videos, to see where their problems exist.
Great footage! Where r they cutting all those trees?
Michigan is a select cut state, while WI is a clear cut area.
They must be cutting to beat heck that's a whole forest of logs more tp lol
This railroad needs to fix some of these problems and tell the shareholders their take won't be as much for a while
I wonder how long it would take for the crew to realize that the trail cars had derailed (if they were to).
Hi Jason, what is in all the boxes on the last car ?
I'm guessing pressed boards.
Jason Asselin thanks 😊 keep the videos coming
How to snap the center pin on all your freight car trucks:
I've seen trains run on tracks that were ruffer then a camels back and didn't have any problem.
I thought it was going to tumble over.🧐
i enjoy watching this train services but you can have that snow i do not like snow. It's warm and sunny where i am
Hey ! Are those logs going to the Toilet Paper Plant ??
You know I am waiting for a train full of wood just to go with that title. lol
Close!!!
speeds between 15 and 25 are the worse, always put slow speeds below or above
Should not go between 14 and 21 MPH on bolted rail. That is the key speed for harmonic rock.

Its called a bidet. Popular in Europe, and available in the USA.

All that wood.....TOILET paper now!
Got wood?
We have already seen this video?
Those who may have been with me awhile..
What do they haul in the green box cars? I see them on a lot of trains that you film
Finished wood products I believe.
Just a matter of time jason.
I don't understand why they move logs north & south. Unless the northbound love are underdeveloped and need to grown longer. 😷😷😷
Different types of timber for two different types of paper mills.
That is rolling rocking. I don't think the side wind was helping stability.
Have you ever considered filing a complaint against the E & LS with the FRA?
File a complaint about what exactly?
This is not that terrible of rocking. Gets much more worse when you have a string of cars doing this. Slowing down a few mph would fix this rocking
I have seen much worse, have seen them go over
Rail lines are not in very good shape in your area .Serprised there are not alot more
Its interesting on those IBT boxcars they can paint out the logo but won't touch the graffiti. Pathetic but typical.
