Haha I have an identical pump I bought on Amazon. Didn't work on the srt-4 when I dropped my fuel tank. The srt-4 has an anti fuel theft measure. I had to disconnect the fuel feed line and bypass the fuel pump relay with wires.
Yeah those are tricky to bypass, the electric version of it comes with a guide tube that supposedly gets around them almost 100% of them time (I imagine with some practice), I was thinking of doing an SRT4 fuel pump video maybe I can show a couple ways to get the gas empty on the Neon at same time..
Hi Ray 167! I may upgrade later just because I'm always working on car but at the same time I was able to pull about a 5 gallons in a few minutes so I think the 4GPM rating is fairly close and did the job for me. But I do think the electric version will be a must for newer cars since it comes with a guide tube to bypass the anti theft valves on newer cars..
Hi The Weekly Geek Out! I actually really like that about the kit, how it gives you the option of removing the metal barb as you pointed out and attach the hose directly to the siphon to pump out without leak (at the expense of lower flow since the pump prevents full speed draining via gravity) or as I demonstrated on here where I left all pieces in places so I can quickly disconnect (slide out) the siphon pump once the flow is going to take advantage of full speed flow via gravity...
Excelente video.
Saludos de México a Nuestros amigos de Tan hermoso sitio California 🙂

Lol I need to siphon gas out of two cars that have been sitting for a while, definitely would look at the electric version for the smaller hose.

Dang ! They didn't believe me when I said the Frito Bandito stole my gas.
Haha!!
Just a heads up the metal siphon has to be removed and connected directly to the tube. That will make sure you dont have any spills.

Just put a kink in the line while you remove the pump... or use that orange clip!
Dude, Where is my car?!
It's a steam car remember! ah wait I guess we could try siphoning some water out of it lol
