It is so interesting to see what other people’s favorites are!! I had to skim through the Once Upon a Broken Heart series because I really did not like the writing style (but I wanted to know how it ended 😂). I’m so glad there are so many types of books so we can all find favorites!!
I REALLLLLLY wanna know why they “left” Andarna behind… did they know the wards would eventually fall (like precognition) and would be needed again? Why didn’t they give their fire to Aretia’s stone? What forced them to leave? Was it because their power was too great and they didn’t want to bond to humans, like the other breeds did? Cause I’m with you on the they’re on the isles theory so it’ll be great to learn about them and their reasoning for everything
Hey there :) thanks for this great summary and thought input! My thoughts on it : 1. What is the "greatest power of the sky"? Well, the sun is an entity for sure, but is a natural source of energy just as lightening is, too. The first thought that came to my mind when you asked about the 'greatest power of the sky' is: GODS. What if Violet can not only control lightning (which anyway is just the way she manifested the energy/power/... she can access, as stated by Felix at some point in the books) but can somehow summon/ communicate with/ use the powers of the God's? And that's just her first signet :) 2. Concerning her second signet, I can definitely imagine her to be an emplifier to the extend of working as a luminary. That still doesn't explain Liams very realistic appearance during her torturous times in the dungeons ^^ and that's what makes me reconsider what ever thoughts or theory I have in mind timd and again. Plus I think her second signet had to have sth to do with her mind. Not truth teller or similar... But something that uses her vast brain capacity. So I'm more on the 'she can somehow astroproject/ camouflage between realms' . 2.1 As this signet comes from Andarna, who has certain special abilities that the other dragons don't have, maybe the potion didn't stop Andarnas power from working? 3. We only know that Andarnas parents died.. That doesn't necessarily mean that her whole bread died out. Andarna is just the last of her kind left on the continent and thus head of her own den (on the continent). But that's just my canon :) 4. What is the 'great and terrible price' that the 3rd brother paid? Did he drain or kill the gods? 4.1 My canon, too: No body, no kill. Brennan very clearly never said, that Naolin was dead. He said, he saved me, but it cost him everything (a great and terrible price, too?) 5. I totally love the spectrum of light point! Especially because Ultra Violet (Violet) and Red (Venin) are on opposite ends and the middle is normal. So I'm definitely on the 'she can turn / cure Venin back to normal with her power' train. 6. Liam's appearance cannot be connected to Varish or his signet. Liam is still there for Violet after she killed Varish.. So much for now from me :) I have many more thoughts.. But cannot express them yet. Thank you two again for this video! :)

OMG now we have a explanation if this violet's second signet theory is true. There was a scene you discussed on a previous episode while Violet was with Rhiannon's sister I think, she was having a dream and when she woke up there was Xaden next to her. But Xaden wasn't suppossed to be there. What if Violet somehow (unconciously) amplified Rhiannon's power to transport herself or Xaden to be with him because of the dream she saw. 🫣 I loved the theory, also I would be throwing my book too if the second signet is just a boring truth-sayer 🥲
Will some of the dragons be the bad guys eventually is a great question… we talked about Jack and him monologuing in the ward chamber and how he says something like, what dragons would have you think… so what are dragons keeping from the humans that could have helped? What made them strike a deal with the first six in the first place, besides the need for runes, since they weren’t enemies with the gryphons… did the battle with the venin back then make the dragons need humans to gain more power?

I think it’s all about intentionality behind WHY you became venin and that’ll possibly show how “bad” or how much you’re corrupted by the power
