The owner should be very happy to have a worker like this guy working for him. All around solid guy. A 7.5+ on a square pie is insane for dave

Usually when the owner/employee hangs all over Dave's nuts, it's super annoying, but this guy was cool af. Pizza actually looked pretty damn good too. One of the better reviews this year.

Probably overpriced for a pizza at a fkn red roof inn who's clientele is most likely seggs workers. Not saying it's not worth it, but I would guarantee that's the mentality in that area.
I'm glad he was standing there. He basically just answered Dave's questions, even tried to stay out of frame at the beginning, just stood there when they tried to get him in frame. Dude talked up another pizza place AND advertised the great food at this establishment. An honest salesman!
Dave kept eating the pizza after the review was over. That's gotta be a good pie.

I do the same on my crack review show. Not every crack rock is a 8+ banger but it would rude and wasteful not to smoke the rest of it after the review.

Dave rarely gives 8’s for even GREAT looking/tasting round pies so this score for a Sicilian style is remarkable. The last time he gave this score was for that square pie in New York somewhere where he says “oh Frankie I know you’re gonna love this.”

I've eaten here many times and they never disappoint. I usually order the Pork Chops or Sunday Gravy, and their Chicken Meatballs are really good. You won't be disappointed.

When I first saw Mike walk out with Dave I thought to myself, "Oh boy here we go again. Another annoying manager that has to include himself in the review." But Im glad he did. This guy was the star of the review and you could tell Dave enjoyed his company as well, AND genuinely liked his pizza. If Im ever in that area Ill stop in for a pie and hopefully to meet Mike. Great review!

I'm shaking this man's hand when I go there. He don't sugar coat shit, and represented his workplace like a boss. The owner should be insanely happy to have him.

Grew up in Fairfield, probably one of the only non-italian families in town, Mike is right about that. It's a very nice area and easily accessible because of rt. 80, 46 and 23.This restaurant has changed names and ownership so many times since being there because it's in a tough spot to get to. Good luck to him, great review.
That pie looks awesome though. I'd stop there if I was in the neighborhood.

Normally I prefer that the owner/manager types stay inside so they don't influence Dave; but if they HAVE to be outside, a guy like Mike is a pretty good change up.
When the pizza gets a 7.7 and it's a secondary item in the joint, you know their specialty is damn good.
This review/score felt authentic despite the manager being present. This was a legit 7.7 and I thought he'd go 7.8, but the 7.7 is real. Looks like a good pie for sure.
You can tell this place has good Italian food when their pizza is like an appetizer just to munch on. I wish I could make a visit to this place.

I had to look it up, he said they are known for giambotta dishes. Apparently it's a southern Italian summer vegetable stew sometimes served along side a grilled meat.
Nice little hidden gem it seems like. Shocked it wasn’t awkward with the worker there. Good score too.
