Really good tutorial, well explained and shown. I have a similar process but I haven't played around with watering my paints down as much as you've shown, I'll give this a try. I primarily use Citadel paints. For weapons I base with Leadbelcher, then add Mournfang Brown, similar to how you do, then I give a wash of Agrax Earthshade to darken is down and take the shine off of the silver. Next I stipple Skrag Brown, which is more of an orange brown and then do a lighter stipple of Ryza Rust. Then I add some scratches with Stormhost Silver. I've found it give me a really good effect and is pretty quick too. I'm always trying to learn and improve though so I'm definitely going to try out your method and improve what I do. Thanks!
Thanks very much for your feedback, it's really appreciated! That also sounds like a great recipe for painting rust, one thing I've always found with GW paints is they have a really good variety of browns which is really useful for rust and weathering.
Nice one Steve! I'll have to get an undead mini and give it a whirl 😀
Thanks mate! I hope it's useful for you 👍
