Thwompwalk(Responsibly)
This is my best take at creating a thwompwalk build without giving thwompwalk a bad name. Its not a crazy damage build but its consistent and you'll still be really useful if you mess up the combo. Its a gateway to playing more spirit heavy. Try it out, let me know what you think.
Also they nerfed escalating exposure, its 5% now.

Game commentary being done in a nature setting is a new media genre I didn't know I needed.
Its really calming. I kinda regret the part afterwards cause it kills the vibe. I wouldve loved to do the whole guide like that but we didn't have a lot of time to film because of natural disasters.
I liked the contrast between the calm and the hype montage lol. Contrast always makes for good comedy imo

Could use some better pacing in some parts but this was pretty funny, idk if I'll actually be playing melee though, whenever I play ivy I usually just play the 1 max build and keep the idea of double thwamping in mind when I buy refresher/echo since it's useful on basically all of the builds besides attack damage ivy.
I understand if some people prefer to play Ivy instead of the dollar store Abrams I have been cooking up.

amazing video, just, no one tell him that you can LOADSTONE. (Where you stone form on one of those vents, and then fly, next time u step on the ground it insta-stuns) and with echo shard, you can Stone Form 3 times in a row.

@@cyrusposting And with refresher, with loading a stone form on those air vents, cooldown reduction on it, you can hit 4 in a row. use it before they fix it.
@@Graqwa You're a real one for explaining it, I had someone on my first video just say "wait til this guy finds out about slam storage" and my stupid ass assumed it was some inside joke.
I actually found the bug in the practice tool, the AC ducts above the runes can store a thwomp. I looked all over the map for places to do it (I was hoping the infinite ammo spot above the shop would do it but it doesnt) before I realized the boost pads work.
Unfortunately you came too late, I am skimming through hours of footage as we speak.

Would buying close quarters/point blank work better for this build? Mostly due to the movement speed reduction on nearby enemies which would make twompwalk more consistent.
I do think point blank is great on Ivy but usually you go straight from ult into your combo so its hard to find a moment to shoot them until after the combo. I thought about that item, as well as kinetic dash. Maybe some kind of staminamaxxing build.
doesn’t the weapon damage buff on close quarters/point blank buff melee?
@@cyrusposting Yeah, and that’s why it could be good, the enemy normally won’t die after the combo and you’ll be beside them. Point blank helps with the slow for the combo and helps finishing off the enemy after the combo.
@@uselessmid I think melee damage scales with weapon damage, so yeah.
@@saquial Yeah, melee scales with 50% weapon damage. I have a lot of weapon items I like, but close quarters/point blank isnt a bad idea. Could sub warp stone for it for people who wanna be sticky but dont like the active.

If you recognize it from something, its probably Nausicaa. Hisaishi used that motif in one of the songs on that soundtrack, its kind of iconic.

Its when you Stone Form and Echo Shard so you can Stone Form on top of them again. Refresher optional.

I love reverb but I couldnt think of a responsible way to slot it into the build. It feels like something you build when you're really ahead and playing for clips on full damage spirit Ivy, this is supposed to be a more consistent and reliable magetank Ivy.
