Love stumbling across a solution unexpectedly. This was such a fun one to do and I’m happy I got to share it with you! Thank you for watching Tiffany 😊
First time watching your videos, and I come to the conclusion you are my brother from another mother, and I love you so, so much! I live in Oregon and want to share some natural treasures with you! I am a collector of many treasures, but leaves are my favorite! You just brought to life so many ideas I've has swimming around in my head!! Thank you!!!
You are always welcome ... And it's always a treat when you post so thank you so much for the wonderful videos ... Sorry about the broken leaf ... It was very beautiful, is there any possible way to save it ???
I might have been able to topcoat it with more resin but the crack would probably still have been visible. There may be hope still! It was such a beautiful leaf that just snapped like glass
thankyou so much! keep making content and projects! you just solved my issue with trying to capture my leaves in an organic shape way!! exactly what I needed!!
posting my projects on instagram sooon! I'd love for you to see and to give you credit for the process and to follow you!! you can find me @mythiccasshole
Those are gorgeous! Will the resin keep the leaves from turning brown? My boyfriend's favourite season is fall, so I'd love to make a maple leaf keychain for him. TFS! I'd love to see you do flowers and other foliage. I'm assuming this is eppxy resin? Can this be done with UV resin as well?
@@StephenWarrenArt I noticed because it is something I would have done. We think alike it seems. :-D Thank goodness for bandaids. Have you tried the ointment with honey? IE Medihoney, etc. I like it.
I wonder if you could you could use these as a flooring decoration. Like with stained and polished cement flooring being covered in a black paint then have a whole thing of leaves places on the ground then a layer of epoxy resin to keep them preserves and pretty
You have an amazing creative energy and it makes watching your videos very soothing so even if I can't do the project it's kinda meditative just watching you do it. Also, excellent video presentation with the music etc. I LOVE making art out of organic materials too. It keeps me connected to my God/nature/the Universe so thank you, you're just delightful. 💞😊
I have a crazy idea of making one of those birch branch lamps, and making a lampshade from green epoxy-preserved birch leaves. Just sewing or gluing the leaves together, into a piece of eternal summer...wow, can you tell I'm a Canadian just past midwinter? lol!
This is such a good idea. I have a huge leaf that doesn’t fit into any molds I have. I’m definitely going to try this. I need to get back into doing resin. It’s been awhile. The type of resin you’re using now.. is it easier on you allergy wise? Great video like always!!
I have a dream of doing this to a big monstera leaf, emphasizing the negative space in the holes and the cuts on the side of the leaf. I would have never had a mold or enough resin to do that before so I’m excited to always be on the lookout. This project didn’t effect my allergies much at all probably because it was such a little amount of working time with it. Longer exposure to this resin (craft smart epoxy) does still cause dermatitis so I still have to be careful with this one. Thank you for watching!! ♥️💕🍁
I’ll post a picture of then on my community page next time I have them out, even though I’ve given a few away already. Pretty sure there is no change over the months it’s been but will update you 🙂
I normally just dome them with the resin directly, but this method would take less time. you could also gold foil the edges , I see some awesome possibilities lol.
@@StephenWarrenArt I wish I could send you pictures of the leaves I do. I just have a hard time drying them on something don’t stick to. Yours are very nice. I do mine a little differently.
Can I just take a minute to stop and appreciate what a beautiful and vibrant soul you are, thanks for the resin hack!

the resin will yellow after how long and will the leaf color fade over time?
This is a brilliant project! Thank you for the inspiration!
🍁🍁🍂🍂🍂🍁🍁✨✨✨
My resin casted leaves all turned yellow and brown after a month or so- have yours kept their color?
They turned out so pretty! I love fall decor. They would make a good wind chime. That sheet of leaves before you broke them apart was beautiful too.
Wow I never realized I desperately want to make a wind chime now! Mixing music with wind with lovely nature art. Thanks for the suggestion!
You are so much fun to watch!
😁 too kind!
Would make great keychains too. Love your video's! Thank you!
Yes that could be something I do with them :) thanks for watching I appreciate it!
Ohh no Stephen. *** hugs*** Drilling is to dangerous but I do love your bandage.
Hahah of course you noticed!! Yeah ooops 🐱

Thanks :) lots of fun to try out these new things for you guys. Thanks you for watching
Great job
The slab of leaves would look great on my wall!
That slab was stunning! I want to work with a big puddle slab of resin sometime. Maybe make a bowl or vase or wall decor :)
The polish trick omg thank you!!❤

I would resin them to a tile and then lay the tile. This would be an amazing background for a stove!
@@toughtimes6596 oo i like that

wow lovely earrings
Thank you 🙏🍁
New subscriber here... thanks for hack on making a leaf mold ... I do love your video... keep it up 👍🏻
Heyy teesha! Thanks for subscribing 🤗 can’t wait to try new arts and crafts soon
Thank you for this video. Very clever idea with the hot glue. Is there anything else that can be used for that ?

how do you make the mold? have so many pretty leaves would love to do this for
Thanks a lot

Love this, I really want to see how they look after 6 months or more ! Or do they last forever ?
I’ll post a picture of then on my community page next time I have them out, even though I’ve given a few away already. Pretty sure there is no change over the months it’s been but will update you 🙂
Can i ask. When i put my leaves inside my book to be pressed, how long do i leave them before i can use them
What did you use to polish the pieces? Looked like clear nail varnish?
Depends on the project for this since it was so thin I used clear nail polish to get rid of the scratch marks 😊
Did you use wax paper?
I normally just dome them with the resin directly, but this method would take less time. you could also gold
foil the edges , I see some awesome possibilities lol.
Can you just brush them with resin on each side instead?
If I wanted to laminate just the leaf, how would I go about that?
Just press it and then laminate. I do it all the time. Make sure your machine can fit it. Mine can fit some pretty thick plant stems.
Some thicker trees like cedar you might want to dry out a little.
What kind of paper are you doing this on?
I buy big pads of newsprint from art stores, then I put down packing tape for a shiny smooth surface 👍

If you don't want them to break, try using scissors ✂️ to cut the excess resin away... SO much faster and easier. 😮
