Because hunter loves wood and such, you can definitely add character to your new build by building in old wood into places like fireplace mantles, trim, built ins, something like that. I can totally see you guys using vintage building materials in unique ways.

Totally agree with what you guys said about a new build “cookie cutter” home vs. an older or custom home. We live in an old farm house & currently renovating it to become our dream house! It is so special to live in a house with unique character and your own touches.
